    Wow, look at the discussion!!! I would LOVE to go to Katz's to "have what she's having", but it's rather far, and I'm sure would be quite a wait. Last time I was in NYC, early 2000s, I was lucky enough to get to Carnegie's, YUM!

    HI NBT! Thanks for the info! Is there a place you particularly like to have lunch at? Is there a good NY smoked meat sandwich anywhere near the Cruise Terminal? Hey, it's 3 months from TODAY!!!!!

    Hi, arriving at LGA at 0930 for cruise on Oceania. When our ride drops us off at cruise terminal, can we drop off our bags until boarding time? Are there porters to watch it? Many thanks!

    We were on 2 segments at the almost end of a World Cruise. There were special events at some ports for the people on the full cruise. No special meals/ steals/ or deals for people on segments.

    I could visit Provencal towns from Marseille every year...have been 5-6 times, and can't get enough!

    I'm not sure there is a comfy place to sit...just the desk chair. I had a solo booked, then when I saw an upgrade sale was coming, I paid $400 more for 2 people in an Oceanview C2, then when the upgrade sale started, moved up to a B2. So I have a balcony room to myself!

    If you are on the cruise to Bermuda on Sept 13, join the roll call! The ship will have at least one dinner for all the solos on board. In the MDR, they will ask if you would like to share with other people. I don't know...but I wonder if a solo is asked if they would like to share when booking specialities.

    We also stayed in PortoBay in Rio in 2011. Make sure you go to rooftop for view!~

    just food for thought... I had booked a solo cabin on Insignia to Bermuda for Sept 2023. Obstructed view. When the Labour Day sale was coming, I switched to a C2 Deluxe Ocean View(paying the single supplement), and once the sale started, there was availability in B2, so I was able to move to a B2. It ended up costing about $350 more for a week with a balcony!

    ENJOY! I used to live in Montreal(50 years ago!), and I plan to be in Palm Springs in Feb! You live in a beautiful area!
