  1. You still have a butler not just the same person the entire cruise. We were onboard the Millie in August before the team concept started. I spoke at length to the hotel director about the change. She assured me that the service would still be great. I spoke to our Butler whom we had 2X prior and he wasn't concerned with the new change. I am waiting for our cruise this week (18 days) before I make a decision whether its good or bad. Yes we are in a Sky Suite.
  2. We like the Retreat Lounge for our morning Latte/croissants. Its quiet and by day 3 the host had a table set up for us each morning. It nice - we enjoy talking to the attendant. I am an early morning walker and not a "coffee in the cabin" person. I agree we generally were the only guests in the lounge and it opened before the "CC breakfast". Once our Butlers realized we like a bourbon prior to bed - he had them sent to our room without asking so we stopped going to the lounge to take our "late night" bourbon back to the room with us. - Our Butler's have been very intuitive. We had the same one a couple of time on different sailings.. Sailing in a Sky Suite in a week - it will be interesting to see what has the change.
  3. 4 years ago after leaving New Zealand about 5 hours out to sea - a crew member had to be evacuated. It was very interesting watching the New Zealand Coast Guard Helicopter circle the ship and then land on the helipad. The crew member was quickly loaded and it took off. They never shut the blades off and was only landed for a very short time. We were on the Solstice and watched from the Spa lounge in the front of the ship. Yes - they kept the area isolated and had to take down some wires and other stuff. Very efficiently done.
  4. First - I am very sorry for your troubles. I would continue to fight but take it up the ladder to the executive office. Your TA should be fighting harder for you especially since they have the invoices which states AI included. I know its a personal choice but Celebrity usually doesn't let the customer make any changes only the TA when booked thru a TA. Good Luck I hope this gets resolved quickly.
  5. I guess you could phone her but Andrea was almost always visible. I would "run" into her several times a day. She is a tall blond German Lady. She welcomes you onboard, she is visible the at each port on land at early time when guests first get off. Andrea walks the entire ship everyday. You will see her with the captain after some of the shows. She welcomed us on with big hugs and gave us a big hug on each disembarkation. She takes care of the whole "Hotel" part of the ship suite and non suite passengers. She is very kind. She sat down with us and we spoke at length about the changes occurring at Celebrity - what is really happening versus all the speculation.
  6. We have spent 29 nights on Millie this year. Andrea, hotel manager, runs a tight ship and is happy to chat with you if you have any concerns. She is always walking around the ship. The staff at the Martini Bar is wonderful - Krisna is outstanding. The Rendezvous Bar is also outstanding. The entertainment on the ship is some of the best we has seen on Celebrity. Make sure you watch the Boogie Wonderland Show and the Arielist Show. The Broadway Show was good but we really enjoyed the other 2. The Activity Staff is a lot of fun. Patrick, Kristina and the third lady - I forget her name at the moment but she is from Puerto Vallarta (she had just joined Millie 2 days before we left) - do not miss pronounce her town if you speak with her. LOL ! We had her for 3 weeks on the Solstice - she is tough in the Yes - No game. We were in Retreat and Standard cabins - so I can't comment on the Blu Staff. We love that ship and the staff feels like family. Have fun!
  7. Longer cruises, staff, and the Martini bar is open on Embarkation Day. It is now a tradition after we drop off our luggage, get keys, check in at our muster station....we sit down at the Martini and have our "Welcome Back" martini to start our relaxation for the next 14 days days or more depending on the cruise.
  8. The Martin Bar is a lot of fun and very popular. The Martini's are great. I don't think there was a day that we didn't do 2 martinis. If you have OBC you can use them to upgrade to the premium package. Also - usually on "holidays" Celebrity has a flash sale where you can up grade for 17.99 per day plus tips.
  9. You can stop by any bar and get the premium water no need to carry a tote bag full of water. We left our last cruise with a fridge full of premium water!! I enjoyed going down to the Retreat Lounge in the am and drink my latte while chatting with the attendant. After day 3 he always had it set up for us before we got there. After we finished he always had one to go for us. Enjoy your cruise.
  10. We were on the Millie in April and August - 2 different rooms. In April we were 2 weeks in a Sky Suite - the magnets on worked on the wall that had nothing on it. Across from the couch and closet. The magnets did not work on the couch wall. In August we had an interior cabin for 2 weeks and they worked on all the walls except were the TV was located. We use the larger and smaller ones. The larger ones hold coats, pants and sweatshirts. The smaller ones work for hats, belts tee shirts. Also bring a mesh shoe bag to hang on your bathroom door - lots of extra storage for your little stuff. We like an organized room. Good luck!
  11. Hello - we are on the same cruise! Glad to see you were able to book it on the Flash Sale. Murano is our favorite. I am not a dessert person but the souffles at Murano are incredible!
  12. We were on Celebrity Millie for 2 weeks earlier this month. One night, I set my alarm for 2:00am so I could check in for our Oct 1st cruise leaving Honolulu. I went to Guest Relations in my PJ's and they gave me a computer so I could check in. Needless to say - I forgot my glasses. A crew member saw me struggling to read the computer. She turned off her vacuum and offered to help me because I could not read our passports or the computer screen. She helped me enter all the needed info so we could get the boarding time we desired. After - we had a good laugh at my insanity to do a 2:00am check in!! Don't worry about all the negativity on Cruise Critic. Go with an open mind and a pleasant disposition. The crew will do everything to make your cruise a great one. Can there be bumps in the "road" yes - not enough that it ever turned a cruise into a bad one. Have fun and enjoy!
  13. Spent 2 weeks on the Millennium early this month. Booked last minute and we stayed in our "first" inside cabin deck 2 (20 cruises under our belt). We usually travel in Aqua and Retreat. The Hotel Manager remembered us and sent a bottle of champagne, Celebrity sent us a bottle of wine and one night we received 12 chocolate covered strawberries. Our room steward treated us like we were in the Retreat! On the disembarkation day - the elevators were full - random crew members carried our luggage up 2 decks of stairs for me without me even asking for help. Many crew members remembered us from previous cruises and treated us like great friends and gave superb service!
  14. Mesh shoe bag to hand over the bathroom door - lots more storage for your stuff! Magnetic hooks (larger ones) for the walls. Hooks are great for jackets, rain jackets, sweatshirts, wet bathing suits. If you have a lot of electronics bring a "non surge protector" device for additional outlets. Have fun - just spent 2 weeks on Millennium in Alaska.
  15. No - he does it in my backyard -- the nerve😅
  16. I always use the salon on the first day of the cruise and get a discount by booking ahead of time. We live in a resort town so the ships cost are comparable to our town. Other folks might find it a bit expensive. Just tell your wife to says no to the sales pitch. My go to statement - I need to talk it over with my husband and they stop trying to sell me "products".
  17. Did we meet on the Millie last August? We will doing the HNL to SYD leg too.
  18. When are you on the Millie in August? We are too. The 4th Northbound and the 11th southbound. We were on the Panama Canal with you.
  19. Only 2234 points to make the Zenith Level. Almost there! 🤣🤣🤣.
  20. I would need to do a B2B2B2B2B2B to get me on one of these cruises.
  21. Hi, We are on the Millennium again in 2 weeks. Do you remember who the Captain was and the Activities Director? Still have to try your Zacapa Rum! Glad you added 2 bottles.
  22. Will be on Millie - a little less than 3 weeks. We love the Martini Bar. That's our first stop after the muster station! It has become our tradition to start our cruises.
  23. We have been on some cruises and they don't have to make an announcement because guest just do it and we have been on cruises that they had announcements frequently. It even got to the point were the called the passengers by name.
