  2. I have been traveling but did get a call back last week. I was told that it is an "Apple requirement" and those of us with older phones will not be able to use the app. No fix planned for the future.
  3. They have been excellent responding to me when I have written. Most of the time - it is a phone call back. I don't expect to get a positive answer but just wanted to let them know a large amount of guest can no longer use the app.
  4. Wrote the executive office and asked if the iOS requirement was going to remain intact at 17 or was Celebrity planning to change it back so older phones can use the app. Unfortunately, No response. Has anyone else heard from Celebrity regarding this matter?
  5. We have spent a lot time on the Solstice - love seeing the pictures and the crew! Your pictures are wonderful!
  6. No - we are Elite Plus - the 50 points won't help with my challenge to get to Zenith. Only 2057 points to go......😂 I have other cards with better benefits.
  7. OK - this keeps us in the same tradition -- go directly to muster station - then to Martini Bar for our traditional "welcome aboard" sipping martini - then to my hair appointment. - No need to watch the video on the TV and they won't call your name out over the PA?
  8. Well - a new tradition will be started.....State Room TV will be it - 😂 Won't be sitting at the martini bar sipping our traditional welcome abroad martini. Will be in the cabin with the with the safety drill on the TV and we will be sipping our martini - then off to the muster station! I am sure our cabin attendant will be happy we have a 2:00pm check in.

  11. I am in the same boat. I guess my phone is to old. iPhone 8. My question is how will we complete the safety drill? Cruise is just 15 days away and I won't be purchasing a new phone before then.
  12. I tried to make an appointment when they had the loyalty discount for Elite Plus. The shopping cart kept reverting back to the original price. I wrote the Executive Office and they sent an email back stating they would apply the discount when the services are rendered. Cruise is coming up - I made the appointment and will bring the email with me. Hopefully as "cruisestitch" stated they will just apply the discount when they see my SeaPass card and I don't have to show the email.

  14. We had one land on the Solstice 4.5 years ago - off of New Zealand. We watched from the Aqua Spa Lounge. The helicopter landed on the bow of the ship.
  15. Only had to hold for 12 minutes!!!! The lady stated if you have 2 things open it will make you reset your password. I always leave the app open on my phone. I never had that happen before.
  16. Locked out of both - the app and the celebrity page. Tells me our password is wrong and the security question says my answer is incorrect. On hold for 10 minutes at this point. going to play solitaire to entertain myself.

So we are coming into Vancouver on Celebrity - planning to get off the ship as late as possible - check in our luggage for HAL at 10:00am (can you check luggage in earlier??) - walk into Gastown for a leisure lunch and getting back around 1:30pm for boarding the Koningsdam. Is this a good plan? I don't like waiting in line to board. Vancouver on previous cruise seems to be very "popular" and we had to sit for over an hour before boarding. I am not a good "sitter". Any advice greatly appreciated.

  20. I have printed out the email from the Executive office and will be bringing it with me on our cruise May 1st. It will be interesting if they honor it. I am not holding my breath but will ask them to honor it.
  21. I just tried this and it's without gratuities. $10.99 per day per person in the cabin + gratuities. This cost more (purchasing the advertised 25%) than calling and asking for the discount. I used the 15% Elite Plus discount prior. This 25% off advertise rate cost about $28.00 more - a total of $263.60. I seriously doubt they will refund the an additional 15% once onboard as the Executive office wrote to me. Will be calling to upgrade all over again. I had to cancel my previous upgrade to try and take advantage of this. Frustrating....... Just called and got the upgrade back for the original price of 235.60 for our 10 day cruise. I would call and see what the rate is before booking this rate.
  22. "Please be advised that the Elite plus discount is not available pre cruise. It will be provided to you at the time of service onboard." I just received this from the executive office regarding Loyalty Discounts. This will be interesting if they actually do apply a discount. Not sure I understand - because they will be refunding a lot of people if its suppose to work this way.
  23. For those of us who live in the West - we would love more cruises departing from the West Coast. Air fare is much more reasonable. We enjoy the longer cruises. Cruises less than 10 day are too short for us. Not interested in Caribbean cruises. We have done many Alaska and Mexican Rivera B2B2B cruises. I can always wish for more choice for West Coast departure. Just put me on a ship and give me a book! A lot of ports we just stay on the ship and enjoy the peace and quiet. 38 days until the next one not that I am counting.
