  1. Only 2057 more points to make it to Zenith!! With the lack of choices from the west coast we are quickly moving up on the Princess ladder.
  2. We think alike - I never go to the Buffet for breakfast. One of my favorite things to do in the am when cruising - grab a latte, croissant and my book!
  3. We are excited to try our first Princess cruise in a couple of weeks. We are Elite Plus on Celebrity. We recently found the entertainment on Millie and Edge quite good - some of the other ships not so good. You are setting the bar high for the International Cafe - We enjoy Cafe Bacio. We tried Holland America - nice cruise but wasn't really impressed. Looking forward!
  4. Check out GeoBlue yearly policy. Better coverage and the cost is close to the Celebrity one trip policy.
  5. While on the Edge - we casually mention to our room stewardess that our bed was making creaky noises (not from us). Within 30 minutes we had a new bed that did not creak. We didn't ask for a new bed. We never had to ask for anything for our room - she anticipated our "needs". Yes we did tip her extra at the end. Maybe that's why other guest get exceptional service and others may not😂 Happy travels!
  6. We have spent a lot of time on MIllie. Love the ship - well maintained and the staff was the best. We took our first Edge class ship in May. It was good not our favorite ship layout. We really enjoy the Sky Lounge on Millie. Nice place to read and relax. If you like fancy and new - the Edge Class ships may be for you. We always have a good time on our cruises - if you change the type of ship - go into it with an open mind. We prefer the M and S class ships to the Edge series but won't rule out the Edge class if it has the right itinerary.
  7. Thanks for the info. If I could ask a question -- This is our first Princess Cruise - we have the Plus package and wanted to use our OBC's to upgrade to the premium once we get onboard. With the new added dining to the Premium package - do you think this is a bad idea and we should upgrade now. I believe my husband will eat at the Noodle place everyday for lunch🤣. We like to eat dinner early and haven't had trouble on other cruise lines getting reservations once onboard. Any insight is greatly appreciated!
  8. Love the Solstice - we have spent a lot of time on her. We did the Edge this spring Honolulu to Vancouver. Great trip but we prefer the Solstice or any of the S class ships. I love to read and bring a couple of books to leave behind for others. The ship always has a great crew. If you are into new and fancy you may prefer the Edge and the Edge class ships. We enjoy the "classics" and all separate areas it has to offer. Have a great time!!! No cons from us.
  9. My first tote bag was Dark Blue (high Quality)! I have many dark grey (high quality) with the zipper pocket on the side - which I love. We use them all the time at home . Our last 2 bags are the canvas - not my favorite. I always bring the dark grey ones on our cruises because I love the zipper pocket on the side. I think it depends on the ship you are on and what is stocked on that ship. I think it is heading in the direction of the all canvas bags when the others run out.
  10. On the Solstice - I do part of the walking track but include the upper deck (Bow and Stern) I find it is not as crowded and the stairs help me with cardio. Otherwise - it is the track. Celebrity S class does not have a deck like HAL that goes all the way around the ship on one level.
  11. Maybe the title should have be - How are Celebrity passengers handling Florida rain issue.
  12. Depends on your CC status. We are Elite plus and get 240 free premium internet minutes which is plenty for us. I usually book the alcohol package when it goes on sale. Depending on the room you book the AI price changes. Do the math before you book.
  13. Take advantage of the solarium in the front of the ship. When I can't sleep - I take my book and go up and read. I enjoy the quiet and it doesn't disturb my husband when I can't sleep - which is a lot!
  14. I have been in 1502, 1504, 1508, 1520 and 1540. The only cabin we had trouble with was 1508. Someone with a VERY heavy foot would run at 2:00am every night. Since we were in that cabin for 3 weeks - we requested to be moved and they did - ship was not full. That was 2 years ago. I believe they have rectified the situation and moved the tread mill. It was the very last treadmill that we heard. On all the other cruises - we were never bothered by the gym.
  15. We felt nickeled and dimed on HAL. Not impressed with theirs. Nothing to do with with the 15 drink limit per day of any type of drink. It took a long time to get drinks because the staff has to have you sign for every drink. When you are at dinner if you want a "top off" of wine" you have to order another glass which generally took 15 minutes or more. After dinner was over you had to wait to sign your statement so we could not get up and leave but has to wait for the waiter to bring the receipt for you to sign. Celebrity is much easier just pick the package for you - classic or premium. No waiting on signing for every drink. On HAL you cannot order more than 2 drinks per card at one time. On HAL, one night we ordered a double (we were taking it back to our room for the evening) and a bottle of water. The bartender stated he would have to charge us for the water because you can only order 2 drinks at a time. He was going to charge us for the water. This was only our 6th drink (soda, coffee included) of the day. I stated we were taking the drinks back to our room for the night and like to have a bottle of water for the night (which is a can with a pop top lid). I had to tell him to cancel the water. After he handed us our double - we then ordered the water. The bartender had an attitude. HAL should not include water as a third drink.
  16. They were amazing...one of the best bands we have had on a ship. The Edge is nice but the itinerary and price would have to be amazing for us to book the Edge class again. We love the M and S class ships.
  17. Hello, I was happy to see your post. Sorry I missed you in Breckenridge - I was on a cruise with my daughter. I lost your email address. Hope all is well. We are off today trying the E class ship (the Edge) for the first time. All the best, Leanne
  18. I have been traveling but did get a call back last week. I was told that it is an "Apple requirement" and those of us with older phones will not be able to use the app. No fix planned for the future.
  19. They have been excellent responding to me when I have written. Most of the time - it is a phone call back. I don't expect to get a positive answer but just wanted to let them know a large amount of guest can no longer use the app.
  20. Wrote the executive office and asked if the iOS requirement was going to remain intact at 17 or was Celebrity planning to change it back so older phones can use the app. Unfortunately, No response. Has anyone else heard from Celebrity regarding this matter?
  21. We have spent a lot time on the Solstice - love seeing the pictures and the crew! Your pictures are wonderful!
  22. No - we are Elite Plus - the 50 points won't help with my challenge to get to Zenith. Only 2057 points to go......😂 I have other cards with better benefits.
  23. OK - this keeps us in the same tradition -- go directly to muster station - then to Martini Bar for our traditional "welcome aboard" sipping martini - then to my hair appointment. - No need to watch the video on the TV and they won't call your name out over the PA?
