  1. Easier to identify connecting cabins from deck plans at insertbigboxnameTRAVEL.COM than at Princess.com.
  2. We asked the couple next door to please turn down the TV. They said they were hard of hearing. Never again.
  3. You need a trip deviation approval from Princess prior to embarkation. Be sure to have a written copy prior embarkation. This is mostly a local custom and border protection decision versus a PrIncess decision.
  4. Your B2B as planned should not impact time in Barcelona. IMHO it will help since I would suggest B2B passengers will be collected and processed through border protection early in the process.
  5. I am very familiar with the Royal Princess and happen to be on its March 2 sailing too. L127 is a standard balcony, quite a great upgrade from an interior. The only cons is the far forward location which can experience more movement in heavy seas. You are directly under the sanctuary, which is usually empty during the evenings and early mornings. Congratulations.
  6. I use my iPad camera to photograph the daily paper patter. It works and has instant response time.
  7. Agree. Countless bad stories about people traveling and cruising without a passport.
  8. The OP speaks of a "Brand and Marketing Manager" .....has anyone ever met such a title on PCL on the ship vs land? No me with over 45 cruises
  9. If you wind, you can decline. PCL sends you an email and the deal is only finalized IF you pay the winning bid amount.
  10. The estimates above are correct IF the Royal Princess is on time. Check marinetraffic.com the morning of departure https://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais/home/centerx:-122.515/centery:37.814/zoom:12 if the Royal is seen near the GG Bridge about 530am you know she is on time. An on-time arrival and disembarkation usually means an on-time embarkation. The last 6 Princess cruises out of SF (all in 2022) the medallion green lane and boarding time assignment has been meaningless. The port authority usually opens the security queue between 1030 and 1100am and begin processing passengers (regardless of PCL assigned boarding time or loyalty status). Once past security Princess does offer a. dedicated queue of Suite passengers, and those with Elite and Platinum status. Once boarding commences Suites and Elites board first.
  11. When you bid, you have no idea of the exact cabin location. However, if you win you have to option to decline. So if you bid for a full suite, and get a forward facing suite you can decline and keep your existing cabin. CC cabins are all M1 category. All are midship and I believe all are sandwiched between other pax staterooms. should you bid and upgrade? Depends on your personal cost/benefit dial .
  12. FYIY I’m in a Penthouse Suite now and the bath tube does not have a shower head. The shower has both a shower head and a shower handheld.
  13. While not cash or OBC there are some very special features of a WC. Here are a few from the Pacific Princess' last WC in 2019. Special Sunday brunches. Absolutely over the top. A MDR is used to set up a huge buffet. This is nothing like the Horizon Court. These events took place, to my memory, about once a month and were often linked to a country visit or holiday. Special MDR dinner items added when the dining room staff was able to make some local purchases. As I recall during our visit to French Polynesia the chef returned from port with lots of fresh fish, and wow did we enjoy. Upon embarkation you will be given a small gift with that year's WC logo. We received a backpack. Visits to the bridge. Given the almost 4 months at sea, senior bridge officers would frequently invite guests to the bridge. Nothing formal or planned, but you would find yourself chatting with an officer during month 2 or 3, and the conversation needed with an invite.
  14. First bid. Won Bid from a balcony BB category ($3600) to a Club Class Mini Suite M1. This is a 10 day SF Mexican Cruise. Accepted bid was $790.
  15. The new additions to Princess Plus (What's New) mentioned above....I cannot find this at Princess.com and it is not mentioned in the Princess Plus T&A. https://www.princess.com/ships-and-experience/food-and-dining/beverages/ Where can I find this reference? Thx
  16. Coming up on my 500th night on Princess. Here is my comments about Costa. In my experience The ship, the crew and the destinations are all wonderful. However, the cultural / passenger experience is quite different from Princess. Americans and English speakers are in the vast minority. Costa, while a Carnival Corp line, targets the Italian and European markets. It is not a US / UK / Australian / Canadian / etc. experience. This can be either wonderful or not so wonderful based on your expectations and travel desires. I remember the welcome aboard show being hosted in multiple languages (Italian, French, German, English and i think Spanish). Now, I do not mean you have a choice of shows based on language. You go to a single show and listen to all 5 languages. Safe Travels
  17. DW brings her own sugar free or low sugar mixers. Staff mixes the drink table side.
  18. Very exciting excursion. Up close and personal. You see the Princess ship depart and catch up with her later in the day in port. Highly recommend.
  19. I was on the last Pacific Princess WC in 2019. Each segment was considered its own voyage. Everything reset as if it were a new voyage.
  20. This has worked on the Pacific, Grand, Ruby and Crown. Uses 1/2 watt, but had to grind down one of the prongs. But these look like the prongs are the same. https://www.amazon.com/Emotionlite-Nightlight-Rotation-Bathroom-Stairways/dp/B07GCKGV4Q/ref=sr_1_26?crid=1Z6R51NU8LFCW&keywords=night%2Blight&qid=1666566842&qu=eyJxc2MiOiI3LjE4IiwicXNhIjoiNi41MyIsInFzcCI6IjYuMDQifQ%3D%3D&sprefix=night%2Caps%2C351&sr=8-26&th=1
  21. IF the nightlight has identical prongs (in other words equal sized), then you should have no problem. The images below are from the Royal Princess mini suite. Sometimes, if the prongs are different sizes it may work or may not work. I have actually acquired a nightlight with equal sized prongs and it always works. Note the small button between the outlet inlets in the image below. The nightlight needs to be able to push the button inwards. If needed use some tape.
  22. As an option to CC consider the cost of specialty dining every night vs the upgrade cost of CC.
