  1. Happy Valentines Day 💝 Agree w/the quote, Pass on the meal (curry), maybe try the drink and wine, not been to the port. Heading out to see the surgeon - hope to come back w/a plan for my shoulder; it's moving quite a bit, but I don't know if it's enough for him to proceed w/surgery. The HR guy sent an invite to replace Monday's canceled call and it's right after the surgeon appointment. Currently 45° headed to sunny 70°. Still no rain in the forecast - I know we'll be begging for some in a couple months but the yard really needs to dry out. Prayers and positive thoughts for all.
  2. Yes, that is very frustrating and disappointing; I've had the same experience.
  3. I understand the frustration (and agree) of receiving inconsistent information. Because CO is capacity controlled, though, one can call and it not be available then later find an opening because someone has canceled. Yes, inaccurate answers are sometimes (ok frequently) given but sometimes "no availability" is correct at that time.
  4. We decide against a meal plan and were very satisfied with all the dining options - on and off campus.
  5. Check in time will be on your boarding pass about 2 weeks before sail date. You will be able to see it (boarding pass) online in your booking or in the Navigator App. You will need to complete the online check in, which you can do anytime after making the booking and getting a booking number.
  6. Eek. I was going to ask if that was lunch, then re-read your post. Double eek. DH wears a button down shirt, no tie, no jacket but that is not on dressy night.
  7. Unless it's beyond the 4 years (I think that's still the "shelf life" of FCDs) of FCD usability, and outside penalty, FCD should be put back into your account without you requesting it. Is it possible the FCDs that were refunded to your CC had been purchased more than 4 years ago?
  8. I have not had an issue taking one onboard, as recently as Dec 2023.
  9. Done it a few times for Miami airport transfer - both the Everglades boat ride and the walking tour were nice. The walking tour takes you through Little Havana with time for lunch; we found a small Cafe and had a great lunch. They're kind of pricey, but are a good option when you have a later flight.
  10. On K'dam holiday cruise (Dec 21 - Jan 6) a tablemate ordered the surcharge Morimoto lobster every night. They didn't say if it was/wasn't better, but it was on the table every night.
  11. That was new to me, too; I've not been asked to empty a bottle.
  12. Once again - stunning pictures; it just doesn't get old. You sure have a great balcony location.
  13. I was not familiar with Fasnacht Day, so thanks for the info. Being square, they sound like a variation of a beignet.
  14. Bar Harbor was replaced with Portland on my Canada New England cruise last Sept. I wonder if it's still being put on itineraries on the chance they are allowed in? It's disappointing when it gets removed, even though Portland is nice.
  15. I don't know what Desperation Day is, but I'm sure someone will clue us in. I like the quote. The meal sounds good, pass on the drink, would try the wine, not been to the port. TA did not call me back and the hold expires today on the cabin we want, so I'm going to try to do another hold. Why are some holds only 1 day? Lots of Super Bowl cake pictures posted by CC cruisers - the bakers did a great job, some had intricate embellishments. How nice! PT and work today; see surgeon tomorrow and hope to learn the plan for my shoulder. Boss said Friday HR was sending me an invite for a call; it was yesterday at noon for 15 min. Just as I was dialing in, the HR guy canceled the call w/no reason given. He did not reply to my message asking if it would be rescheduled; Boss says he has no idea. So I turned on the TV 📺 & ate a chicken salad sandwich. Neurologist called yesterday saying they received a referral from my PCP but didn't know why. First appointment is March 8; I took it. Now just need to hear from the eye doctor. Finished the meds for sinus infection, but I don't feel any better. Currently a chilly 34° headed to sunny 64°. No rain in the forecast - maybe the yard can dry out. Prayers and positive thoughts for all.
  16. So now your really good deal is now a Really Really GREAT deal!! Enjoy!!
  17. That's good news and I hope to be right behind you.
  18. That also looks like fun! Sister won't do it because of her glasses, but I think I'm one cruise away from getting DH to do it.
  19. Unfortunate the tender is a nightmare - not a good way to end a day. This picture is stunning!! DH and I select a rare photo that we deem as "puzzle worthy," I will award that to this one 🧐😎
