  1. We cruise AK each May and have not considered a cabana - weather is unpredictable 🤔 You can have sun, rain and winds all in a single day, especially going through GNP. So you may spend very little time using the cabana. We use our balcony, the bow (when it's open), Sea View pool area and Crow's Nest to maximize viewing time for GNP and all sea days in AK. It will be great no matter your cabana decision. Safe travels - enjoy your cruise!
  2. As @Blackduck59 mentioned, you will need to sort this through your TA as that is your POC for HAL. You won't see OBC on HAL website, very annoying, it's only visible on invoices and booking confirmations, which you have to get from your TA. with that said, what is visible to you on HAL website and Navigator App is your cabin number. That is the peculiar part to me - that you see a different cabin class than you indicate you have. I had that happen to me once on a very recent cruise (Dec 2023) on NS. We booked a lower obstructed cabin, bought CO and upgraded to the aft cabin we wanted. All the way through to the end, the booking confirmation showed correct cabin number, but the originally booked category. We mentioned it several times to the TA who said it showed correctly in the system and HAL confirmed it was correct. While they wouldn't answer any pricing questions because we had a TA on the booking, they did allow us to add HIA and confirmed our cabin w/o going through the TA. If you see the correct cabin # on the App, I really think you're good. Safe travels - enjoy your cruise!
  3. After looking at the deck plan, Rotterdam deck 4 does have the larger balconies if you're side aft (not true wake aft), since you say they're VB, I believe you must be on the side so that would increase the price over higher decks. If you're true aft, Rotterdam does not have the deep balconies on 4. Which ship are you looking at? On Oosterdam, deck 5 is the one w/the deep balconies true aft (very noticeable compared to 6)
  4. We were exactly 1 week behind Hurricane Fiona 🌀 on a Canada New England cruise Oct 2022. A couple Canadian ports were canceled with others substituted and the itinerary generally changed around to accommodate the clean up. And our final cruise in Oct the year cruising shut down was a Canadian cruise w/similar port changes due to a hurricane.
  5. Yep, your pictures just keep getting more amazing! When you're off this ship, I can hear you talking about your adventures like the grandparents showing off the grandkids - only these ARE great and everyone WILL want to see and hear 😊
  6. Quick - pack that pretty thing 🤴🎖️away before they ask for it back and congrats!!
  7. So funny - I flashed on the kid who holds up the plate and says "look, Mommy, I ate all my veggies. Can I have dessert now?" Yes @MeganGC1983 you can have dessert - liquid or solid 😉
  8. That's exactly what DH says - he'd not waiting.
  9. Got it. I clearly had the wrong "pink thing" in mind. I will say, our square pink thing was not comfortable.
  10. I don't eat seafood of any kind and don't like overly spicy foods, so Tamarind was a struggle for me. As @RuthCsuggested, I had the tenderloin w/o Wasabi crust. Also got the ribs and satay sampler. They brought a few things prepared just for me that usually have oyster or fish sauce. All were very good; I would go back tonight if I were on a ship! The staff is very open to conversations about food preference and will modify to their abilities.
  11. And recently, TV under "excursions" has a listing of meeting times and locations, which is something you see in the Navigator App that you need to know but obviously cannot see on your card.
  12. The pink "chair thing" is probably this: It's kind of a square chair - not a sleeper. We've had those in a Neptune Suite and recently in s Signature Suite; they fit 1 person.
  13. It should have a larger balcony. Not looking at the deck plan to confirm, but usually 4 has the BIG decks.
  14. Same - noticed it yesterday when it was mentioned on a couple other Lives. CC kept being not available at times and I thought that may have impacted the notifications. 🤷‍♀️
  15. Oy my gosh - that smell is the reason I go to theaters! 🍿Not really, but it could be. I have a love/hate relationship with 🍿 I really like the taste but cannot stand the hulls - I pick them out for days...
  16. Such a cool experience and great picture! You have some great pictures (this for sure being one) that would look good printed on metal or glass then arranged as a collage. I use Fracture - they do a fabulous job & send discount codes. I L🧡VE this picture! It's like the penguins are relocating, lol.
  17. Online - your PCC will see you paid when they look at "their" cruises. Safe travels - enjoy your cruise!
  18. Cuz they do appreciate you reading LIVEs, 😆 🤣 Sorry @Sherry84 that was just too easy
  19. But you used your Red Card and got a 5% discount, right?🙄
  20. That was Housekeeping response and why they're still there - nobody wants to touch someone else's used orifice cleaning tools.😳
  21. Kept running into a couple kids (high school age) in elevator one cruise at a time we thought was not holiday (school would be in session) and finally asked them how they were missing so many days of school. One of them shrugged his shoulders and said "home schooled."🤷‍♀️🤷‍♂️ Guess home school administrators vacation planning is more fluid now 😉
