  1. Is there a quiz after that you have to pass before you're allowed to disembark? 🤫
  2. Congrats @mtd716 on getting what you wanted by adding CO! Getting AARP on the rebook is not baffling - your membership was verified before you booked as the one w/CO is considered a new booking; they actually cancel the other one and create a new one when they downgrade you. Outcome would have been different if you were simply adding CO. Job well done - safe travels, enjoy your cruise!
  3. Hey @Toofarfromthesea welcome back! I'll take on a couple of your items: *There are no dining packages - you book whatever specialty dining you'd like and you can do that pre-cruise online or onboard. Whether part of HIA or separate, if you have dates you want, you might consider doing that early as times do book up. No lunch package, either, but yes you can book lunch in Pinnacle Grill (onboard only). *There is a XXXL robe - you have to ask your cabin steward. They're limited and I've found also asking in the spa is the best way to get one. You can purchase robes, but I don't remember the cost. It's usually in your cabin along with the cost for a couple other items. *Laundry on HAL is awesome! They handle special requests, just slip a note in the bag. You only need to purchase pressing if you aren't having something washed as pressing is included w/washing. You can have some items folded and others hung - your call. You can buy per bag (onboard only) or unlimited (pre-cruise or onboard). Prices have recently changed, not sure about Hawaii cost, likely $25-$35/bag. For the unlimited, log into your cruise manager and look under packages - the price for your specific cruise will be there. If you do by the bag, the cost is for as much as you can fit into the bag - roll items then stack in the bag to maximize how much you fit. I've put so much in 1 bag it was returned in 3 baskets plus hangers! You may see daily costs for laundry (here on CC, not on HAL) but there is no actual daily option; that is the unlimited package. Safe travels - enjoy your cruise!
  4. Didn't see dogs at terminal or on our ship but have read there is one living on the Venezia. They could be at any terminal, port or on the ship.
  5. Grand Dutch Cafe on K'Dam (haven't been to it on the other 2 ships, but I'm sure they're equally fabulous) and true aft balconies on AK itineraries.
  6. Are you able to cancel the HAL reservation and book elsewhere on your own for 2 nights? As @Mary229 said, there are plenty of "cruise hotels" with shuttle service in FLL. Safe travels - enjoy your cruise!
  7. Definitely not an upgrade vs true aft. You might call and see if you can get moved; worse that happens is you're told no; best case, you get moved. Safe travels - enjoy your cruise!
  8. Hey @JeanneEDW HAL has fabulous laundry service, so that should also help cut down on packing.
  9. @mcrcruiser stay safe - hope you're able to stay out of the floods. Gotta say, jealous a bit on the a/c as we're over 100 everyday and car regularly shows 115 or more.
  10. Not an issue, you are allowed to fill your bottle in the Lido. They just ask you put the water in a cup then pour it into your bottle.
  11. Yes, those robes are different, but the ones provided in other cabins are waffle weave cotton and get the job done saving space in your luggage. Sometimes cabin stewards are able to find one of the "suite ones" if you ask.
  12. I almost mentioned that. Maybe you can still grab a pair to use for the duration from the spa?
  13. Yep, I get those, too, and agree HAL needs to update their Pre-cruise checklist to remove VeriFLY. Safe travels - enjoy your cruise!
  14. I frequently get the "400 Bad Request" no matter what device I use - phone, tablet or computer. All 3 use different browsers, so it's not just Chrome. I haven't tried Firefox (tablet can't run it) but will try. I usually don't get it using Incagnito Mode, but occasionally do. Clearing cache and cookies doesn't help. I used to get it mostly late night and early mornings, but lately, as recently as yesterday, I get it in the middle of the day. Frustrating...
  15. Yes you will have a robe in your cabin. Safe travels - enjoy your cruise!
  16. Dh asks me to text him dates so he can request time off work. Then I don't hear a peep until a couple days before when he asks what day & time we need to leave for the airport. He packs the night before. He LOVES cruising, just isn't a "prep" kinda guy.
  17. We were fortunate to snag a forward cabin and loved it. Yes, it's a bit windier, but not always (probably) and the views going into port are worth any wind you do have. It's like your own personal Crow's Nest, but with a balcony. And relaxing out on a large balcony at the end of a port day as you sail away is quite nice. You can enjoy breakfast on that balcony as you come into port and have a view few others have. Quite different than a forward side balcony - I would not have a cabin there. Congrats and enjoy!!
  18. Yes!! Fabulously tasting cold water - with no additional charge buying a water package! 🤯
  19. Quick edit - we were on N Amsterdam, not N Statendam, when my sister had the inside w/window. It was 10043. Apologies for any confusion.
  20. Thanks for the kind words. I didn't do CO because I really didn't think there was value for an interior. However, if those cabins do have windows, that's a game changer! They sure aren't on the deckplan, so I appreciate the message and the link to the thread re Halfacts. My sister had one of those on N Statendam and the natural light, peek a boo view and access to the deck was very nice. I have work to do now. Thanks again! 🤗
  21. Exactly what we do. Gives us plenty of ice and cold water for the day and also for our bottles when going ashore.
  22. She is not a solo - we're cabin mates 🫣 But I will still have her reach out to you directly and not at all an issue. I appreciate you looking after us and did not intend to cause you anxiety. I'm looking for friends, here, lol.
