  1. It was really pretty. The driver asked if we wanted the top on the bus (double decker) open or closed. We all said "open!!" and he rolled it back. We sat up top and my DH spent most of the trip standing up taking pictures. We were very glad we did it and since it came with our HOHO ticket, we considered it a pleasant bonus. The one we did doesn't stop anywhere - it started and ended in Termini.
  2. Aligned with this @Ileneilene123 you will not receive anything separately - you need to follow the links in your booking confirmation.
  3. During last years drydock, the staircase at the casino was removed, the spa was reconfigured and the ship became ADA compliant.
  4. Once you sort out if you do indeed have the AARP OBC, you will not be able to use it until you board July 20 as it cannot be used prior to boarding/can only be used onboard.
  5. A country veterinarian in Michigan https://todaysveterinarypractice.com/personal-professional-development/the-back-page-a-country-veterinarians-perspective-an-interview-with-dr-jan-pol/#:~:text=Born and raised in the,its doors opened in 1981.
  6. Same. I really like that show and Critter Fixers. DH doesn't understand why I watch - he grew up on a farm and says he's had his arm elbow deep in enough cows that he has no desire to see it on a large screen 🫣 Now we can watch Dr Pol's son Charles work on his farm - last I saw him, he was trying to learn how to drive his dad's 🚜
  7. You WILL do it - and you'll have a great time. Horrible Pic cuz we were driving by, but here's the Colosseum from our night tour.
  8. Thanks for the heads-up - I didn't know he was ending his show.
  9. @Quartzsite Cruiser I think you've mastered the predicted Beryl pattern!! Yes,OK. (TX dwellers) should all be ok. I hope everyone in her path comes through unscathed. I do wish we would get some rain, though- the cracks in the yard are horrible.
  10. Absolutely beautiful! What do you do with the quilts when you finish them?
  11. @firefly333 I had the link on my phone: https://www.bigbustours.com/en/rome/rome-tour-tickets-and-passes You would be looking at the 48 hour "essential" We enjoyed the nighttime tour that was included - it was beautiful and gave us a good preview of what was in store. Even if you don't use them, their maps are great mark your hotel then see where your tour & anything you might be interested in is. You'll also see where the HOHO stops are.
  12. I pre-purchased the HOHO ticket, did 3 days and used some of the free stuff that came w/it, so it was a good deal. We still walked A LOT and took a bus twice, used the HOHO like it was a bus. I'll find the link for where I bought it, just give me a bit to get back at my computer. I knew you probably won't have texting, but the HOHO sent us texts in advance of service interruptions which helped us plan each day.
  13. @firefly333 you will be fine - any planning you do before will just be a plus. We really found the HOHO maps helpful even on days that we didn't use a HOHO. We marked our hotel on it, then we were able to see attractions and the HOHO stops to help us get our bearings.
  14. That first picture sure does make it look empty and you could get a picture. This is what we saw - you'd have thought Bieber was making an appearance, lol. This was Oct 28, so well past "season." If I get to go back, I'll try Jan 6am.
  15. I did Venezia RT NYC last Sept and Disembarkation was as much a ship* show as embarkation. In fairness, NYC was experiencing one of the worst rainstorms in history, so that might have impacted it, but cripes it was awful. Teppanyaki is fabulous!! Lunch is same menu & portion sizes as dinner, but lower cost & less crowded.
  16. Any chance Nick (the guy who filmed the "show") is part of their group or does he just have incredible timing?
  17. Geez on Carnival. I was hoping that Volendam thread would get locked soon - I'm not certain how much longer I can hold my tongue. I am heading over to read about the Carnival shenanigans, though 🫣
  18. Hugs 🫂 🤗 @grapau27 to you and Pauline as you remember her late brother today.💔❤️ Your memory garden is lovely.
  19. The place was packed! Is there ever a time that Fountain doesn't have a sea of people? But yes, it does look better in person - it's beautiful.
  20. We were getting a show as loud as last night then a brief rain blew through and it stopped. But not before the cat the down the hall and the dogs huddled in the bathroom. Hopefully it doesn't start back up.
  21. Exactly my experience this week. Although my membership is good through Sept 2025.
  22. @Cruising-along and the International Cafe is a must visit 🫣
  23. @Wayward Son I hope you're right - there's no more room in The Club, lol.
  24. Trevi Fountain - cool walkable neighborhood w/great cafes, gelato and cappuccino. Almost impossible to get a picture w/o crowds (and this was end of Oct/beg Nov). We spent more time there than planned due to the great food and shops. There's a Fountain to refill your water bottle in Trevi; we were there so long, we filled them twice. Pantheon I cannot get the picture of the front of the Pantheon to load, so this is all I can show you. It was awesome even on a cold, windy day. Corfu, Greece You're welcome 😎 Flexibility and patience help in ensuring you have a great trip with the right kind of memories. Yes, there is some (a lot, lol) of planning involved due to the crowds and availability of tickets, but it is worth it. Safe travels - enjoy your trip!
