  1. Our favorite excursion in Ketchikan is the ATV tour - you drive (caravan style) up abandoned logging trails. It is beautiful and fun. This is a great excursion for the ever changing weather in Ketchikan - no worries if it rains, excursion is not canceled. We prefer if it's lightly raining or recently rained as wet trails make the drive more fun. Train for sure in Skagway - beautiful!!
  2. What a find - I've never seen one of those and would be interested in what you learn.
  3. Yes, but be sure to have it done at the Shore Exc desk. Or you can leave as is and use OBC toward gratuities. Safe travels- enjoy your cruise!
  4. @msjb22 not sure about PS, but kettles are not permitted in cabins on HAL. PS have microwave and other things that are not in other cabins, so it may be different for them.
  5. @ger_77 the Summerfest pictures are fabulous - looks like a lot of hard work enjoyed by many - congrats!!
  6. Hugs 🫂 🤗 @Cruzin Terri The picture is beautiful @seagarsmoker, glad the new job continues to go well. Prayers 🙏 and hugs 🤗 @smitty34877, Tana and family. You and DH remain in my thoughts and prayers @marshhawk. @kazu 🤞 on your house getting a new owner and prayers 🙏 for you & Ivan and both your care teams for your procedures. @ottahand7 congrats to you & DH on the 🐟 🐠 🎣 🐡 Prayers 🙏 and positive thoughts for all and for our country.
  7. @rafinmd Happy Birthday 🎂 🥳 🎉 to your nephew Keith!
  8. @Seasick Sailor Happy Birthday 🎂 🥳 to your DH!
  9. You could check halfacts - if there aren't pictures of that cabin, there may be some of a "sister" cabin. Welcome to CC!
  10. Online, go to dining under "manage my booking." On the App, bottom center click "experiences " then right above it "dining & drinks" and right above that "reservations available." Then scroll to the venue in which you'd like to make reservations. Below is for PG, click "reserve now" and you'll see date & time options.
  11. Not the original OP - it was a person who had been following.
  12. Thank you @Mtn2Sea for sharing your amazing photos. Looks like it was a great excursion.
  13. The new thread re Volendam is now closed, too. Maybe now he'll let it go. I am - it's BBQ time 🍖🍽️ https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/3018429-why-would-a-topic-be-closed-to-further-replies-after-one-day-on-cruise-critic/?do=findComment&comment=67642368
  14. Rhanks for the heads-up. So far, reports don't really have much info. NBC is only saying blood was seen on the side of his head and ear. 🙏
  15. @RMLincoln beautiful flowers. @StLouisCruisers 🙏 Ren has an easy recovery. RIP Richard Simmons. His 76th birthday was yesterday.
  16. Haven't gotten any work done - I went down a rabbit hole searching for rodent-proof dog food bins. Ugh...🫣 We have very thick, heavy duty plastic stackable bins that we've used for the 17 years we've lived in this house (dog food lives in the garage). A couple years ago, we saw evidence of little nibbles on the corners of the bottom bin & set out traps. We caught a couple field mice (we have no back neighbors - we are adjacent to a greenbelt so field mice are common) and all has been good until this month. I've been hearing something in the attic and there are big holes in the corners of the bottom bin, plus I clearly see the "gifts" they've left for us. So we put out industrial sticky pads; they have not worked yet, so the "squatters remain at large 😒 I'm seeing plenty of options for smaller metal bins, but nothing to accommodate a 50# bag. The big dog is 125# so we get his food 50# at a time; anything less would just be buying too frequently & expensive. I'm not looking to use an old school 33 gal metal trash can - way too big and just, no 🙄 I experimented w/a 13gal kitchen trashcan, but it's really too deep. 🙋‍♀️Any suggestions? For a source for the dog food bin, to clarify.
  17. Corkage fee is $20/bottle, but feedback differs on if you'll actually be charged. We always pack wine in our carry-on per policy and answer "yes" when asked if we're bringing on wine when it's scanned, but have never been charged. Others report they have been charged. So, we're always prepared to pay and pleased when not charged. As to amount you can bring on, currently says "reasonable amount" - whatever that may be. We have taken on 2 bottles each w/o issue.
  18. Thanks @StLouisCruisers for the wonderful pictures - the black swans were beautiful and what a special memory to have dinner w/the captain. @marshhawk good news your DH ate all his chicken, even if it was awful to you, so long as you find something to eat - we can't have you not eating. @kazu congrats on getting your house ready!! Hope 🤞the perspective buyers fall in love with it. Happy Summerfest @ger_77. Today is a little work then a lot of learning the new phone. Prayers 🙏 and positive thoughts for all.
  19. @kazu Big dog was feeing camera shy 🤭 😳 but his sister wanted to be sure she sent Ivan birthday wishes herself. I told her I had already wished him a happy birthday but she insisted she had to say it herself, so Happy Birthday, Ivan from Athena.
  20. @marshhawk all I can say is my heart aches for you; I wish I had better words and magic words. 🤗 and 🙏
  21. Onboard. You should see fliers posted at bars w/the details.
