@CruiserBruce do go to the Mariner Lunch if you're able. As @Mary229 said, ours was lovely w/an excellent menu, many officers in attendance, several officers dining at passenger tables and a lovely toast from the Captain.

Yes land days as part of a package count, any you do on your own do not.

We visited Denali 🏔️May 2022; of course, it was beautiful! We hiked some, there was quite a bit of snow and patches of ice that prevented us from going too far, but it was a bucket list item for DH and did not disappoint. We had a beautiful blue sky day, so it was lovely. No pictures as they're on my computer - I look forward to seeing what fellow Dailyites post. It was 61° headed to stormy 70° when I checked 2 hours ago. Lovely picture @ger_77 you look so happy. HR has scheduled a call w/me this morning and boss has an OOO posted 🤷‍♀️ let's see who shows. Don't know what dinner will be, but whatever it is will be a joy to prep and clean up - the new faucet is wonderful!! Can't put anything away under the sink yet as the plumber didn't use a towel or bucket so all the water from the old one poured out and the base is still wet. Ugh. But I'm thrilled w/the faucet. Prayers 🙏 and positive thoughts for all.

It's not an issue. I've used their transfer several times when we've come in early.

Very nice! None of mine had any colors but it was still great to witness.

Neptune and Pinnacle suites only have in room coffee makers. You can order from room service any time day or night. If you want "fancy" coffee, you can go to Explorations Cafe or GDC, depending on your ship.

That's a nice picture, though; better than any I was able to get. My friend's sister took this in her backyard w/her camera and a telescope.

The lounge is another place to "chill" and hang out, their cabin cards will open the door. There are drinks & snacks they can enjoy there or take out (to their cabin or elsewhere). A huge benefit of the lounge is the Concierge service - they can help w/everything from arranging dining & excursion bookings to maintenance requests, fresh flowers to just about anything parents may think of, they do a great job. Oh, I almost forgot one of the best perks for parents will be breakfast in Pinnacle Grill, you won't be able to join them, but they really should try to go at least once. There's no additional charge and it's a nice treat for suite guests only

Well said - thank you for saying it. As a cruise ship passenger recently subjected to the abuse of non-service dogs and their owners, I am unfortunately very familiar w/the flagrant disregard of HALs service animal policy. It's heartbreaking. Service animals absolutely should always be allowed on board - impostors never!

Welcome to CC! And to Alaska - AK is amazing. I'll answer a couple questions. *Fixed vs Open dining - since y'all prefer not to eat after 6pm or wait in line, just switch to Early Dining so you have a guaranteed table at the same time every night. It fills quickly, so you should change now as it will likely be full if you wait until you're on board. If there are any nights you're still on excursion, you can always do Lido or room service those nights. *Priority boarding - parents have it by way if their suite. If they need assistance, you can board w/them to help, but not cool to hop a free ride (think of all the people who spent years & $$ money earning that benefit) *Internet - if you and parents don't need to be on the internet at the same time, you can just use their log in; that's what DH and I do. *Free Laundry - parents have free laundry by way of their suite. Pack less and use the laundry service; HAL has the best laundry service in the industry!! *Concierge Lounge - parents have this by way of their suite - encourage them to use it often, it will really enhance their cruise.
