  1. Yes but do not have to resubmit docs each time, just call to request it be applied.
  2. @LJanet we go to AK each May and Sept. Of course weather is dynamic, but generally, we find May warmer and Sept wetter; assume Aug would likely be more similar to Sept.
  3. Bon Voyage @POA1 Bon Voyage @Huskerchick Bon Voyage Poohby Joe Looking forward to all your research findings and very excited to learn about & see the special offerings of an Easter cruise. A request, if I may - will you let us know if Sunrise Service is offered for Easter?
  4. The banana fruit crisp was odd - strange texture and just "off." Even the scoop of ice cream didn't help. All the others were good.
  5. We order the breakfast croissant bread budding w/o pomegranate seeds from room service w/our pre-breakfast coffee. It's warm, heaven in a bowl. Warning - it might be addictive. That was a great discovery on NS last fall.
  6. I thinks it's due to a large amount of provisions that had to be brought on. @DAllenTCY may have more info.
  7. Good collection of days today. The quote rings especially true today as I remember my brother on his birthday; thank you @JazzyVfor mentioning him.💔 Pass on the meal (shrimp), yes on the drink & wine, not been to the port. The pictures so far look nice. @ottahand7 your wine tasting sounds fun - maybe you'll find a new favorite. Nothing planned today, it's just too hard. The "eye rains" started early this morning as I read a text from my older brother saying he was blubbering like an idiot while telling himself if we didn't have today we wouldn't have had our brother. Does it ever get better? When I said he left behind 7 children, I left out the "bonuses" - it's 12 children. We will release balloons 🎈 for him this afternoon. I will cook a ham today, so maybe I do have something planned. I was going to cook it yesterday, but drove around town searching for cat food - vet was out, they ordered more & printed a script so I could get a bag elsewhere. Nope - closest Petsmart no longer carries prescription food as they no longer have a vet. Next closest pet store doesn't carry that kind, only for dogs - SMH. Ordered from Chewy and uploaded the Rx but the vets order will probably come in before Chewy gets mine processed. So by the time I got home from that unsuccessful scavenger hunt, I was too frustrated to cook. Pathetic - couldn't toss a pan in the oven, it's not like I had to cut stuff up, stir liquids, babysit a pot...all I had to do was put a hunk of meat in a pan and put it in the oven. Sometimes we just need a break. Thank goodness the yard guy made a little progress - rain is forecast again today. Currently 59° headed to wet 70°. Prayers 🙏 and positive thoughts for all.
  8. Not an upgrade when it's under a noisy public deck. Nothing worse than hearing scraping, banging chairs early AM and late PM.
  9. I canceled and rebooked with a code w/no issue. Just know if you paid w/CC it will be a few days before the refund hits your card. If you paid w/OBC, it will be back in your account very quickly.
  10. One would think that if HAL is really looking to increase revenue and passenger spend, they would offer these again. It's nearly 100% profit as there are no 3rd party to pay (being led by HAL crew), Crew is already being paid and it takes place w/in the confines of the ship (so no additional port fees). The only expenditure (hence the "nearly 100%" profit) is if they were to distribute "bling" to participants. On Carnival, they gave us special lanyards and ball caps, so it was very minimal outlay. HAL can't say it's against policy or a safety concern, as CCL allows it on Carnival ships, where they are well attended and sell out quickly. I don't know about their other lines as I have only been on HAL & Carnival post-Covid. I found the "City on the Sea" film and discussion interesting, but would still attend a Behind the Scenes tour is offered.
  11. Back when DH first applied, HAL wasn't using SheerID we had to send his DD214 in. Then each booking we had to call to request the OBC get added, which it always was w/o resubmit ting the DD214, just request the OBC. Now that they use SheerID, he had to "apply" through them, but we still have to call in to request OBC get added to the booking. It's not ever been automatically added for our bookings. I don't know if it's just the way their system works or because we put him as Pax #2.
  12. Gosh yes!! What's better than a basket of kittens on Cuddly Kitten Day?! Adorable - thanks for sharing. Day officially brightened.
  13. Seems to be a pattern. Dec 21 sailing K'dam left several hours late due to lengthy replenishment.
  14. I've thoroughly enjoyed following this cruise and appreciate the great info and even greater attitudes! The "tag team" posting has been fun. The pictures have been fabulous - looking forward to rest of them. Safe travels to all!
  15. The VQs on 10 provide great views, easy access to Crow's Nest for great coffee at Explorations Cafe (extra charge) and the secret deck. Plus quick access to the pool.
  16. Thermalpass is extra charge, not included w/the Spa cabins, but their locations provide easy access to the spa. So, you should be able to use the Thermalpass a lot. It gives you unlimited access to the Hydropool and heated ceramic loungers plus the different saunas. You can buy a day pass or for the duration of your cruise. The views are amazing up there - whether from a VQ spa cabin balcony, spa Oceanview or the ThermalSpa. Here are some ThermalSpa pictures from K'dam
  17. Happy Heavenly Birthday to your mom @RMLincoln
  18. Thanks for mentioning, it is awful. Prayers for all of them and their families.
