  1. Interesting collection of days - ears are important and I think they deserve celebration. Pass on the quote and meal, maybe the drink, would try the wine, not been to the port. I have a facial at noon then a little work to do. Currently 63° headed to 81°. Rain still expected mid week. Prayers and positive thoughts for all. 🙏
  2. Policy states it is to be in carry-on, which we do. Last time, after our bags went thru x-ray, the guy even asked us, "you have 2 bottles of wine?" To which we answered "yes." Still no corkage fee charged. But if we ever do get charged, I won't complain.
  3. And was likely not related to work done during dry dock - it was freezing last cruise before dry dock and freezing 1st cruise after dry dock. Cooler is better than being too warm, but that was downright cold.
  4. I agree @canadianbear the Tiramisu is fabulous!! And pretty.
  5. Yay to rescuing cats, I haven't had banana cream pie in quite a while but it sounds great, I don't need any more stuff - lots of memories in the old stuff. Not sure about the quote, pass on meal & drink, yes to the wine, not been to the port. Bon Voyage⛴️ @LAFFNVEGAS Today is wash day - laundry, dogs and cars. Laundry requires a trip to laundromat since washer is still not working and the towels from bathing the dogs will need to be washed, so dogs will happen first and I'll do clothes when DH gets home from work so I can take the SUV. I'll wash my car when I go to grocery store, do the dogs when I get back then wash SUV & clothes when DH gets home. Will also go to post office - they show package was picked up, but it wasn't, so where is it? That makes for a full day of in & out. All necessary, none what I consider fun. Currently 50° headed to sunny 84° with rains returning mid week. Prayers and positive thoughts for all. 🙏
  6. @Eric from San Diego there have been reports of senior level officers (captains?) going from HAL to Seabourn.
  7. I have not tried recently to use it, but the last time I tried it did not work - kept asking if I was there like @Skorpora
  8. We have not although we put in carry-on as instructed and it's fully visible to security during the scan at the port. We're ready and willing to pay it per policy, but have not been charged.
  9. The food was good once we got it, but that dining room never warmed up. Hopefully it was a fluke and they have it adjusted by July.
  10. Rabbit 🐇 Rabbit 🐰white rabbit 🐇 Important days - my pups don't mind their pills when topped w/peanut butter. Agree w/the quote, pass on the meal and drink, would try the wine, not been to the port, big days in history - l❤️ve Yellowstone. Happy Birthday @aliaschief Welcome home @SeaSickSailor must feel good to not be in jail Yesterday's visit to eye doctor was long. Says the Rx I got in Oct was made correctly but it's not what I need. Even w/different glasses, things will be fuzzy because of Dry Eye; the procedure she wanted to do was not approved by insurance so they will appeal and I'll go back next month. Hard to work at a computer all day when things aren't clear. She also said the twitching is likely muscular, but will wait until I see the neurologist in a week. I am falling apart. Currently 43° headed to 73°. I think the rain is done until next week. Yesterday's driving was rough w/the rain. Today I'm not getting out, so of course it will be dry. Prayers and positive thoughts for all. 🙏
  11. Welcome to HAL!! We always paid for laundry before receiving it as a 4* benefit and have never regretted it. We quite enjoy toting lighter and smaller luggage 🧳 There are several threads on the fabulous HAL laundry service - enjoy!!
  12. @lazey1 extra hugs 🤗 as you remember your daughter today.💔
  13. LOL - 😆 It was brutal. Spend ridiculous amounts of time waiting for food and or service while you're freezing your tookies off - the payoff was not worth it. Brrr 🥶🥺
  14. That's great news - continued prayers 🙏 and positive thoughts.
  15. @Nickelpenny thanks for sharing the dolphin pictures - so cool!!
  16. I was also on that Nov/Dec TA sailing on NS, as well on the Rome RT before it. The Rome sailing was pre-dry dock; TA was post-dry dock. Neither was a good MDR experience, both were tables for 2. The pre-dry dock, we switched mostly to Lido & specialty; last time we ate in MDR, we were stopped by Matre D as we were walking out - DH told him 30+ min was too long to wait for coffee. For the TA, we had CO but it was no better and was so cold we gave up and stuck to MDR late dining. My travel mate (not DH) that cruise is not a buffet person, so no Lido. Please do let us know @0106 how CO and MDR compare for you. And regardless, safe travels and enjoy your cruise!
  17. This happened on my last cruise (K'dam Dec 21 - Jan 6 HI) - several on roll call said they received upgrade offers, but several of us said we did not get anything. Called in and they did make an offer. I didn't accept it, but they were offering. That booking was direct - no PCC, no TA.
