  1. Guess I'll find out for certain when I get there in a few weeks.
  2. According to the PTV site, that tram stop seems alive and well. When I was there in early December, a bus service replaced the first one or two stops towards Coburg (the QV market) due to roadworks but there is no mention of that now in the PTV journey planner. 😕
  3. At the top of HAL's website is a link to "Look up Protocols" by voyage or booking number. Looking up the details for that voyage number it appears requirements were last updated very recently (on February 2, 2023).
  4. Passengers on Viking orion apparently had to do just that this morning with an onboard fire while docked at White Bay this morning. Just reported on ABC radio news. See also https://www.2gb.com/breaking-fire-breaks-out-on-board-cruise-ship-in-sydney/

  6. She is till 'bumbling' along at currently 2.3kn as per MarineTraffic. No other vessels in her immediate vicinity which discounts bum scraping.
  7. Thank you everybody for all the useful info in this thread. Have just booked a Noordam cruise for next year with an FCD and upgrading from a VH to VA saved me close to A$600 net. CO charge was simply included in the total amount due at final payment. 😁
  8. For Android phones, the app requires Android 10 or up. Don't know about iPhones, no mention in the app info.

  10. You're probably thinking of the 'Wahine' disaster in April 1968 in which 53 people lost their lives.
  11. I'll be there before you (9 March), so if you have any specific questions, let me know and I'll try and find out.
  12. Oh dear - I must admit I only checked that the links worked. If there is something that you are particularly interested in, maybe contact the attraction and query the validity dates. - Good luck! When will you be in Melbourne?
  13. I'm sure I accessed WiFi without the app on my old phone on Westerdam in November. I had Navigator on my tablet but my phone was too old to run it.
  14. Yes you can by supplying printed details of vaccination status and testing results. Just takes longer.
  15. @shuyak Good news update: As I am investigating the Myki options for someone on my roll call, I tried the links on the Explorer page again and can report that they now work!! And YES, there are discounts to be had from the various attractions. Here is the page again https://www.ptv.vic.gov.au/tickets/myki/buy-a-myki-and-top-up/myki-explorer/
  16. No syrup or jam on hot cross/fruit buns for me please. I have salami on mine.
  17. Thanks for clarifying the situation. Good that you were able to book another excursion.
  18. Is that Tony as in 'La Lido Loca'? I just want to watch as I'll be back on Noordam next month.
  19. As advised above, your antigen test does not have to be medically observed. I am booked on a Holland America cruise out of Auckland myself next month and the 'Important Notification' I received last week stated: "... Guests ages 2 and above are required to take a viral COVID-19 test prior to embarkation and attest to a negative result. A PCR test may be taken within 48 hours before embarkation or a self-administered Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) may be taken within 24 hours. Guests who opt for the RAT must take a photo with their mobile device showing the results along with their full name, date and time of the test. Please view requirements at https://bit.ly/hal_twfaq " (bolding of text by me) No mention of need for medical observation. In the requirements FAQ mentioned it states: For cruises visiting Australia that allow an at-home, self-administered Antigen COVID-19 test (RAT), guests should take one photo with their mobile device that meets all of the criteria outlined below: Negative RAT test next to the guest’s government issued photo ID with a clock showing the time the test was complete (a wristwatch, mobile phone screen or a wall clock, etc.).
