Once on a seven day cruise do a royal midnight gala buffet. Princess has this and it is one of things they do I really like. You can order food and drinks from the app and someone just shows up with it. They are pretty good about drinks in lounges quickly. You can get lost in a sea of people in the theaters though trying to geolocate you via the RFID tag you walk around with. Late at night and during likely busy times It has taken almost an hour for drinks to be delivered to the stateroom, but you can get a bunch of water and red bulls delivered to your room to stock the cooler. Princess medallion system also can track your people you are cruising with to see exactly where they are via the app. If you get separated from your group you can find them easily down to maybe 25ft. I hope royal rolls out something like that.

A delivery system like princess has. Order something on your phone and a staff member shows up with your drinks or food. I saw someone get a pizza delivered to vista lounge last night.

Based on how busy the non smoking side of the casino is, i'd say they would do OK. It might depend on the demographic, but I don't think there are many smokers on this trip out of galveston. I even walked through the small smoking side and it wasn't bad at all compared to my last royal cruise out of florida had tons of smokers. They should have kept churchill as the smokers lounge with big exhaust fans. Then make the casino non smoking. When smokers need a smoke, that lounge is right next to the casino.

I turned on the news this morning via the firestick while I was getting ready and its back working. small hassles to keep the tv running, but worth it for me. Princess TV channels are like fox news, cnn, and nat geo.... I am going to watch AEW rasltin on wednesday before bed 😆

ran into an issue with youtube tv. It says "YouTube TV is not available in your country". So whatever satellite we switched over to on the way from galveston to belize the geolocation has changed to somewhere youtube tv doesn't like. https://www.iplocation.net/ seems to think I am in Atlanta Georgia.

It sucks when the game you want to play is only on the smoking side. On royal people use the casino as a smoking lounge and it gets really thick. Hasn't been bad on regal in the casino. I don't smell any smoke on the non side. It's 2023. People shouldn't be smoking indoors in public anymore. Or give the smokers a lounge with powerful exhaust fans, but not the casino.

thanks for that! I may try bringing a big flash drive next cruise. I did notice the USB port. Tempted to plug the firestick power into it so there is not a cord draped across to the desk.

I am watching youtube tv just fine. Occasionally I notice it drops down to a lower picture quality, but no stuttering. Way better than what princess offers. I am still having some tech problems. It seems like if the firestick goes into sleep mode I cannot get the HDMI to show back up. It is just a black screen. What seems to work turning off the tv, and unplugging the network cable and firestick for a minute or so. Then it switches back to the HDMI okay. I've had to do that twice now. Which included some fussing around with the remotes and rebooting stuff.

Club 6 on the phone app is now called "Double Down Bar". Which looks like a sports bar type atmosphere. The map says Churchill's is an arcade and has a picture of kiddie casino on the phone app. So I don't think they are smoking in there. I will go check it out later today. Pinballs83 will be happy if I find a Pinball machine in there. 😃 there is very few kids on this trip out of Galveston. There is kind of a door/hallway with opened doors. Go left for the club 6 casino expansion, go right for the main casino. There is still a main entrance to the casino on 6 atrium area. It looks like they can setup of a divider wall between the casino expansion and club 6. It is currently open, but they might have closed it off for the football game? Skywalkers was a cool place. I haven't been on a ship that has one in a long time. They used to let people smoke up there is why I didnt go often.

I'm on a casino offer myself. For not being a big gambler they gave me nice offer. Here is some pics. They do still have the digital hold em table, but it's now in the casino expansion into Club 6. Club 6 still has the dance floor and bar, but smaller than the last time I was on the ship. I haven't noticed Churchill? Was it by club 6, cigar lounge? If so it might have been merged with the extra casino space. The entrance to the casino expansion plate still says Club 6. Here are a few pictures.

Currently on Regal Princess. They took out half of club 6 and they are currently setting up more slot machines. One table and maybe 25 slots. Only a couple are operational now and casino staff are working on getting the games running. The digital hold em poker table is gone and is replaced by a bank of six aristocrat curved screen slots that are not turned on yet.

Seems like they start issuing them 30 days out on my last cruise per posts on our Facebook group. Went from balcony to mini suite for $100.

Wifi to wifi Hotspot from the laptop using medallion net and I'm in business.

OK, figured it out... The universal remote has the source button to bring up that menu, but you have to use the princess remote to click ok. If you use my universal remote it asks for the password when you try to switch to hdmi. Also make sure your device is outputting a video signal. When my firestick goes in sleep mode it kicks back to the princess tv. I had to wake it up before it would switch to hdmi.

I got my firestick hooked up to the stateroom tv but when I try and get it to switch to hdmi it asks for a four digit password. Does anyone know what it is? I tried doing it from the bridge cam too per a guide and it still asks for the password. Tried with a universal remote and the joystick buttons under the TV.

While I haven't got any great offers from Royal yet ($100 off a cruise @ 1400 points across two cruises), I donated at least a few hundred bucks to the princess casino. The princess comp offers from that have paid for gambling assuming I was going to cruise with them anyways. Comp'd drink and internet, discounted fare, on board credit, free play, spa crap etc. Maybe clubroyaloffers.com will send me a nice December discount.

9297 oasis and 11703 symphony

Ship looks amazing. Oasis class is my favorite so far so I will probably really like Icon. Starting to get excited =D. I am on the 2nd and 6th sailing. I will take pictures. I got an aft Balcony on the 2nd voyage which I don't think really exist on Oasis besides the aqua suites.

I messed that up. I am one day from Diamond... last cruise should have been one more day! oh well.

I go for like deck 9 to 11. I usually take the stairs unless I'm carrying food, so being in between the promenade to top deck works out. I've hear people complain boardwalk view is too noisy, but I think it's fine. If anything the balconies are less private. Just close your curtains because you can see into the rooms across the way at night. I've seen people getting dressed, like whoops don't want to see that. We had some real birds living in central park oasis in September. I saw two different species. I didn't notice the fake bird noise on oasis, but I did on Symphony.

Pretty sure oasis did an 80s party. Only 70s party this week on Symphony unless it is tonight.
