My laptop has a mobile hotspot that can forward the ship wifi to multiple devices (works great in the stateroom). I noticed my phone S10+ has this feature as well. The issue with the S10+ is the mobile hotspot only works when the phone is out of Airplane mode. My question is.... Can i turn off mobile data, turn off airplane mode and turn on mobile hotspot. With those settings if someone sends me a text message or a phone call at sea, will I incur a big charge? Or does having mobile data off block texts and phone calls like airplane mode?

I normally just stack plates on the coffee table and the attendant always gets them. One time I had something with stinky onions I didnt eat all of and put it on the hallway. Felt guilty about it and almost walked it to the windjammer or somewhere. But Lots of other people where doing it. I just sat it near another set of dirty dishes. It disappeared pretty quickly. I've heard you can phone room service to clear out old trays from the hallway. I'm on vacation, but I try not to be a slob.

I got a solo balcony on Quantum next year Alaska 7d $1200. I was looking for solo cruises and noticed balcony was super cheap compared to the other room types. Clicked on it and it was a solo balcony.... Booked. Haven't seen another one come up on the website. I need to get a royal TA. The princess one I use is really good.

Regal had the old slow internet in April. I'm going again in December, hope it has Starlink. I was on Starlink with royal Caribbean and it worked great. On royal i was able to use my laptop as a mobile Hotspot in the stateroom. Then I could easily get the firestick and Nintendo online without web browsers login.

Seems like the non side it was hard to find one less than 50c a spin. I just get up and move if someone starts smoking next to me.

Hey me too! I will be on the 2nd voyage deck 14 looking off the back. When I checked on that cruise that was the only cabin available that would show up. Never had one looking off the back. Excited. 4 months....

Oasis was rock solid all week anywhere I tried on the sihp. I got about 10 down 3 up constantly. Good enough to watch internet tv. I was at the MDR watching baseball on my phone one night when I was by myself =D. Walking down the hallway there was cisco boxes pretty close together.

I am not much a gambler but dropped a couple hundred dollars in the casino slots, mostly on a day the port was canceled. It seems like it might be worth it to gamble some. I think I will set aside a couple hundred bucks for each cruise to piss away on the slots. My TA was able to re-fare all of my booked cruises because of a casino offers that I didn't even realize I had. One cruise went from 2100 to 1600. It looks like they comp'd, drinks, wifi, casino credit, on board credit, etc. It says "complimentary $514" on the cruise info now when I look at the drink package. So I lost less than I was discounted which works out if you plan on cruising anyways. I was just on a royal cruise that had a cow game that was compelling. Attack From Planet Moolah. I hope a princess ship I go on will have that one.

I wouldn't buy the key for fast boarding at Bayonne Cape Liberty. That was the easiest and fastest boarding experience of a cruise yet and Oasis is mostly full. Moving around with your carry-on bag is kind of annoying on the first day.

Oasis out of NY had people in shorts and and t-shirts on formal night. I don't really care.

Get passports if you cruise a lot.

I've managed to book a 7 say solo cruise for $1200 on Quantum. OK deals are out there. Be willing to go out of prime time or check other depart ports if that's an option.

I figured out a windows 10 laptop can act as a mobile hotspot. This lets me get multiple devices like the amazon firestick, nintendo switch, on the internet which can be hard to impossible on some devices because of the web page login. I am going to watch AEW rastlin on the firestick before bed and play on my phone. Connect to Voom. On your win 10 laptop search mobile hotspot and turn it on. Then connect devices to the laptop. Some cell phones have this feature as well. Might be a good option for people trying to save on the internet. Then when I go venture out on the ship I switch it back to my phone.

I'm on Oasis and the safe is totally battery operated. No wires going to it. They money is spent already. No way are they going back to cruise cards without rfid location. Yes, the app can be frustrating, but it's been fine on the ship. I like princess's medallion technology.

Cabana balcony November 2024. The balcony is almost as big as the room. Looking forward to seeing the new ship design. Impressed by the renderings.

You can feed a slot paper money, but if you want to cash out the medallion is required. Not sure about table games, but I bet you can.

I was on regal the week before Easter. The ship was full with lots of families for princess and the service was still pretty good. No problem getting a drink.

First time with Royal since the 90s.... Going on Oasis in a few weeks and didn't realize I needed to reserve show seats on the app. The comedy, water and etc is all sold out. I was smart enough to do my time dining reservations, but didn't think about the shows. As a solo cruiser without a reservation can you normally get a seat? I am guessing people went through and reserved every single show, but may not actually go to each one.

I'm doing two 7 day Alaska cruises next year. The princess one is way more expensive than rc quantum for reasons people have mentioned above.

I'm cruising from Port liberty on oasis in September and was surprised i wasn't offered a Newark Airport transfer. I guess I will take an Uber unless there is a better option.

Double check he has all his information entered into the app. Pretty sure it sends you to the blue lane if they still need a picture, passport information, and etc.

I just booked for nov 2 2024. The website offered me a double sized cabana balcony for the same price as regular balconies. It was pretty affordable. Right afterwards I got a players club casino offer. I haven't looked at it closely to see if I could have used it.

I found the rocking of the boat was making the motion light kick on in the middle of the night. It was the bathroom door and stuff I had hanging up in the closet. Keeping the bathroom closed took care of most of it.
