  1. What time was your reservation?
  2. If you booked the cruise on or after 7/1/2023 you would have booked under Simply More, which includes the wine and beer during lunch and dinner.
  3. Did you book with Simply More or not? If not, then yes that is the daily price for the Basic package. If you booked with SM, the purchase would be to upgrade to the Prestige Package and you’d pay the difference between the two as the basic package is included in SM. 69.95-39.95….$30
  4. Yes, you can buy it anytime. And the upgraded pricing starts on the day you purchase it through end of cruise. I think a great idea to wait a day or so. Also, will be Captains Party and New To Oceania parties first few days which will have free drinks.
  5. Yes, we did. The first offer was for $200 off a $1000 payment. Which we just had our TA make an additional $1000 payment to our balance. The second offer was for extra points, which maxed out at 40,000 points. We used that offer when we made our final payment.
  6. It has to be two separate and distinct offers from Amex. Not sure if that is what you are noting or just use the original offer twice?? If the latter, no. With regard to who. Since we had a TA. We just called them and requested they apply the amount needed to get the offer to our outstanding balance.
  7. It is an Oceania invoice….to look at it, it is identical to ones we get directly from Oceania. Perhaps their version may show total costs from a commissions standpoint?? Which then also show gifts they have ordered. They always just send the page which shows the amenities…..perhaps so they don’t share what the commissionable fare is?? Not sure really how it works. At the top left corner it actually states Agency Statement.
  8. We only get it to show if we have the TA send their own copy of the invoice. It then shows under Gift Orders.
  9. You are only charged a deposit for wait listing if you are wanting to be added to the Priority Wait List. Standard Wait List does not require a deposit. At least that is as I recall.
  10. Just keep an eye open for your next Oceania adventure! All you can do sometimes.
  11. Our cruise in October has been wait listed for several months except for a category or two every once in a while. And usually then only one cabin would show available. It has been completely Wait Listed since about 10 days prior to final payment.
  12. Search their FAQs…put in Specialty Restaurant Reservations while in the FAQ search feature. Access FAQ at bottom of their home website page.
  13. Looks like crazy being taken to new levels.
  14. They also feature the Alaska Explorer Youth Program geared to the 5-12 year olds.
  15. Thank you for your response. 😉
  16. But as I posted above, at least situation not as bad on Sirena with regards to Jacque items as you were posting!! So some good news.
  17. Why is it when I look on their website for Sirena, the Jacque items are available in the GDR under the dinner menu. Not sure they were ever available for lunch in the GDR. It does seem to be more of a dinner style menu and the GDR is open for lunch on a very limited basis.
  18. I think they would get along handsomely.
  19. Remember though, this person eats nearly all of their evening meals on the TC, with the exception of their specialty restaurants. That way he can wear shorts, a tee and his ball cap. But yet uses the analogy why spend $350-$500 per person to eat Pizza Hut pizza and Applebees (Ember references) equivalent food. Well…..if I wanted to eat buffet food for my cruise just like Golden Corral (bad buffet place in USA) all the time, I sure wouldn’t be paying $350-500 per person. Of course….TC better than GC, just a dumb analogy like his. I will get his little quip back or a laugh on my comment, but honestly may as well be talking to a wall.
  20. I’m beginning to think those “looks” were solely for you!!
  21. It’s called an option. According to you nobody ate there anyways so I guess that argument doesn’t make sense.
  22. Not sure adding a pizza oven and then having a venue open in the evening that was not open in the evenings before is an obvious cost cutting measure. But you do you……..
  23. My pronunciation depends on how many glasses of wine I have had when asked to pronounce it for the inquiring folks.
  24. Thanks. That is what I was assuming in reading through the information.
  25. General question regarding the SBC. Is it a refundable or non refundable credit? Assuming if you don’t use it all, then it just goes away and not able to get at end of cruise? Thanks.
