Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. That is unfortunate. Kotor is one of the ports we are very interested in seeing on our summer cruise on the Vista.
  2. We were in 8049 on the Holiday Cruise this past winter. No noise issues for us.
  3. Yes, that seems high. We stayed free on IHG points.
  4. We stayed there before our holiday cruise on Sirena. Older hotel, but still nice. We loved Toro Toro.
  5. A couple years ago, my wife and I decided we aren't going to order any food until we have our first order of drinks delivered. Too many times the food comes before your drink. We try order one course at a time. Ever since we started doing this, our dinners have been much more enjoyable. On the ship they will want us to order all courses at once, but we still wait for the first round of drinks. We started doing this after our Friday night dinner at our local restaurant served us two rounds of drinks, appetizers, entrees, and desert in 36 minutes.
  6. Good to see Martini's opening earlier on Vista than it was on our holiday cruise on Sirena.
  7. After a few days of getting over-medium eggs served over-hard, I learned to order over-easy and then they came the way I wanted them.
  8. We were on the Sirena for the holiday cruise from Miami and enjoyed it. I was surprised how good the wi-fi was, never had one issue. Excellent service from Putu in Martini's, he made that place special. First time on the "R" class ships and we wouldn't hesitate to go on the "R" ships again.
  9. Just got off the Sirena yesterday and they still have the Germaine as the top champagne by the glass. One night in the Grand Dining Room they were offering the Heidsieck Monopole with the wine paring dinner, but not available by the glass throughout the ship. One glass of Germaine was enough to know that I wasn't getting another one.
  10. I ended up selling it at $22 per share while on the cruise for a 47% profit in 30 days. I will look to buy back in at a lower price to get OBC for my upcoming cruises.
  11. I bought the 100 shares on June 1 for a July 1 cruise and just emailed copies of the transaction from the brokerage account since it wasn't on a statement yet. That was good enough for the credit.
  12. Hi, I’ve never cruised on Regent and it’s rare to find a cruise with the Panama Canal to actually work with my wife’s teaching schedule. I found a wonderful 16 day cruise over Christmas and New Year’s but it shows “waitlist”. How likely would an opening occur? Is it worth trying to reserve?
