  1. put bacon on most anything and I will try it. Lol
  2. on the MG, they also load a free drink on your card. Still cheap, but better than a glass of wine.
  3. I used to not be a fan, but once I tried the P&A Bloody Mary, I converted.
  4. Feeling any better? It sucks to be sick, but especially on a cruise.
  5. just ask your cabin steward if they would like it. Ours is usually happy to take it.
  6. Thanks for doing this live. Hope you have a great cruise!
  7. Almost home, Sid. Thanks for the most excellent live.
  8. Glad you enjoyed your day in San Juan. We stayed at the Casablanca hotel in August and ate at both Cafe El Punto and Barrachina. Surprisingly, service was better at El Punto. Food was good in both places and my husband also had the whole fish - he loved it.
  9. Color me jelly! Great you got to see the whales.
  10. LOL. It got to the point on the MG I made my husband stand in front of the door of some of those restrooms. While Carnival tried to make everything hands free, the timers are so slow I could be done before the door ever fully closed and locked. I was hoping they didn't repeat the same mistake on the Celebration. Oh well, maybe the Jubilee will be better.
  11. Sid, Enjoy dinner at Rudi's. That's my fav of the specialty restaurants on Mardi Gras. And it is healthy to look at our lifestyles every once in awhile and try to change some things up.
  12. Have a Guy's Burger for me. I have to wait until NYE for mine!
  13. Very true. Pick an older ship for a three or four night cruise and you are more likely to be noticed by the casino staff. On a recent Mardi Gras cruise I had over 16,000 points. Got a steakhouse dinner for two. On other ships, I would have gotten that plus a spa treatment.
  14. Glad she took the offer. Have a great evening and go Bucs.
  15. Agreed as to service (top notch), but we consider it a "warm tub" or "aquarium." LOL
  16. Congrats on finishing up the work week. It's parteeee time!
  17. In cases like this, some cruise lines will give you a nominal OBC (think like $25 pp) to cover the cost of the lunch you missed onboard. You should still be able to get dinner on the ship.
  18. I had to do this once with my mom. It was fairly easy. I started with a call to the insurance company, who instructed me what to do. Next I called Carnival and cancelled. Three to four weeks later I received a check in the full amount of her fare. Carnival separately refunded taxes and fees. In your case, when you know you have to cancel, I would cancel the specialty dining and shore excursion first. That will get Carnival processing that refund. Then call the insurance company for further instructions. Hope your wife's surgery goes well and you are able to cruise as planned.
