  1. @laudergayle Thanks; not interested in the Bliss but I saw that Djamel was GM. I cruised with him a few years ago and have been hoping to come across him again; no chance if he is on the Bliss!!
  2. Nearly down to 50 days till we board the Spirit in Auckland. Anyone with the Officer List from a recent M&G please post on here. Who is the Concierge please? Thanks A P
  3. @Smitheroo Congratulations that you now understand but lots still don't; they should look at it this way Day 5 your account is $543. Day 6 you buy 8 FCC at $250 each ($2000) so your account now reads $2543 ($543 + $2000). Day 7 The FCC people put a credit of $1000 in your account which now reads $1543 ($2543- $1000) That means you have in your My NCL 8 FCCs worth $250 each for which you have paid $125 each. FORGET all the rubbish they talk about Free Money and OBC. They took $2000 with one hand and gave you back $1000 with the other. Spend the $1000 on the COST OF THE FCCs not on overpriced "rubbish" on the ship they are trying to con you to do.
  4. What happened was that CC changed the login method to email addresses and many Roll Calls were "lost or "misplaced" in the process. Logout, login again with your email address and it will reappear.
  5. Remember that the suite meals at this level do not change so on a long cruise become quite boring.
  6. They certainly have Tabasco available all the time everywhere it seems.

  9. I hope everyone realises that it is for a Specific Date on a Specific Ship. A bit of a pain, good if a general 10% on top of any other offer and is on Any Cruise.
  10. @tmal2 On the last cruise we went on envelopes were left in our cabin with the names of everyone that had provided service to us. Which cruise line please? If that ever happens on NCL I can see an uprising!!

Is it possible to change to La Romana International Airport, Carr. La Romana - Higuey 5.5, La Romana 22000, Dominican Republic; it would be a lot easier.
  12. NCL actually arrange tours or accept tours that allow you to leave at one port and join at another, Egypt, Israel and Chile/Peru, so it can happen. Keep pushing and make it happen but make sure you have the permission IN WRITING!! Missing the ship is a VERY different kettle of fish!! Your cabin is cleared with everything given to the port contact and what @www3traveler says is what will happen. Not only is the Captain (cruise line) .fined the Cruise Line will take you to court to get the fine back.
  13. @heathriel Do they give any type of accommodation for this type of change? I presume you are wondering if they will give you a refund or similar. I very much doubt it as their T&Cs allow them to alter itineraries "at will". As you are not getting a sea day but will be in port there is no likelihood of a Fee reduction which may happen going from a port day to a sea day. That is usually when you suddenly get a refund.

  16. @egurbi Also, will NCL actually respond to inquiries about upgrade charges, since my understanding is that they contract the whole process out? Only one way to find out!!!! Try it and see. Then let us know the answer too.
  17. @ontheweb ... so after tasting it we took it back to our cabin. That is the norm as they always do it towards the end when the staff are a little more free.
  18. I agree, inform them, BUT and it is a BIG BUT, be prepared for a serenade from the wait staff in the restaurant!!
  19. In mainland American ports the ship has to be cleared of ALL passengers, including those doing a B2B. before anyone is allowed to board, it is often referred to as requiring a "clean ship". We were on one where a couple were "hiding" as, being B2B, they assumed they would not have to get off. It took an extra hour to clean the ship and get it ready for embarkation.
  20. I assume that doing B2B on the Pride will be uncommon but does anyone know if a "clean ship" is required in Honolulu as is required in other US ports? If it is; what is the situation like there? Does the Pride do the following? Dining with Officers? Latitudes Cocktail Party? Free Ship Tour? Wines Round the World?   21. Unless you take upcharge dishes from the menu when on board. The system will know from your booking that you have the 2 free meals.
  22. @fstuff1 It would be interesting to see the definitive source of the document you show. I bet NCL had nothing to do with providing it.
  23. I often have a notice on my door, asking for help wit coins or advertising Cruise Critic and have not lost it. However I use a small round magnet that no one will steal!! Expect to lose it if you use a flash magnet11
  24. After dinner it always goes down well with a double Drambuie when my wife leaves to go to the show!!
