  1. New information. Some have stated that they have a guarantee room and they were able to book as of 7-1-2024 -their dining room reservation. Also have seen posts that passengers don’t have their cruise paid in full & they were able to book dining. Some have reported that they’re not platinum or elite and it’s their first Princess cruise and they’re not paid in full ,but they were able to book dining room reservations . I have just compiled this list loosely from the posts under the dining threads of those that were able to book recently , so not set in stone on accuracy. I would think reserve collection dining room will be wherever traditional is, but no need to make a reservation for those. Hopefully , others can just add to this list to keep everybody informed. The reservable (Flexible is Princesses new term) a.k.a. dine my way starts at 5 PM and there are slots available every 20 minutes. Traditional dining seems to be 5 PM and 7:30 PM with a few variations. Open seating AKA walk-in is just that. Caribbean Princess Island dining room is traditional 5 PM and 7:30 PM Coral dining room is walk-in? And Palm Is reservable? Coral Princess Provence-Traditional 5 pm ( shared table)& 7:30 pm( private table) Bordeaux- reservable 5 pm-8:20 pm every 20 minutes & walk ins Crown Princess Botticelli is reservable every 20 minute reservations Michelangelo is traditional 5 pm & 7:30pm DA Vinci- walk in Diamond Princess Savoy and Vivaldi are reservable International dining room is traditional at 5:20 PM and 7:50 pm Pacific Moon and Santa Fe are walk-in Discovery Princess Juneau- Traditional 5 pm & 7:30 pm( someone else reported reservable??) Ketchikan- reservable every 20 minute slots Skagway- walk in Enchanted Princess Amalfi dining room -reservable every 20 minutes from 5 pm-8:20pm Santorini-Traditional 5 pm & 7:30 pm Capri- walk in Emerald Princess Michelangelo is traditional DA Vinci walk-in Botticelli is reservable Grand Princess Michelangelo is traditional at 5 PM and 7:30 PM Botticelli is reservable Island Princess-2024 & 2025 Provence- Traditional 5 pm & 7:30 pm Bordeaux- reservable, every 20 minutes & walk ins Island Princess-2026 Provence- reservable every 20 minutes Majestic Princess Symphony -Traditional at 5pm & 7:30 pm Regal Princess Symphony- Traditional 5 pm ( private or shared table) or 7:30pm( private table only) Allegro-reservable 5 pm - 8:40 pm,every 20 minute reservation time slots Concerto- walk in Royal Princess Concerto is traditional at 5 PM and 7:20 PM Allegro is Reservable every 20 minutes Symphony is walk in Ruby Princess Michelangelo is traditional at 5 PM ( shared or private table)and 7:30 PM or someone reported 7:20 pm??( private table) Botticelli- reservable, every 20 min .time slots- can get private table Sapphire Princess Vivaldi & Savoy-reservable every 20 minutes Sky-2024 & 2025 This ship is not consistent with what passengers are booking,so?? Soleil-Traditional at 5:30 pm & 7:50 pm AND reservable every 20 minute reservations November 2024 Soleil- reservable every 20 minutes Estrella- walk in Cielo-reservable every 20 minutes Sky 2026 Soleil- reservable, every 20 minute time slots
  2. Have a feeling on Royal for September 28, 2024 ( this date is around /soon the corner)Traditional DR in Concerto is full, perhaps once onboard you can get in? Glad you were able to reserve Allegro DR ( reservable reservation slots of 20 minute apart) as your second choice. July 2025 is a year away,so yes I would expect DR of choice to be available to you at this date. It is anyone’s guess at this point how this new dining will play out when it actually begins- September 14/15, 2024. Going to be a learning curve for staff on each ship & passengers for sure. I do think passengers were really missing the traditional dining, but throw COVID in ( not as prevelant, but still here) and now quite a few want private tables instead of shared. So lots of DR choices to “ fit” the puzzle.
  3. @ziggyuk thanks for the information on The Ruby dining room. Yes, I was pretty sure Michelangelo DR was for traditional dining. ( same table, same time, same wait staff, etc) Most have reported 7:30 pm , not 7:20 pm for second seating, but ……. I know this new dining change has been confusing,so that’s why I was trying to gather information for all in one post/ thread.
  4. @KarmaCruisers Hope you had a nice day cruising glacier bay today.
  5. Is your cruise on Royal Princess on or after September 14, 2024? If your voyage is from now until September 14, there are totally different “rules “ / ins & outs . if you’re trying to tell which dining rooms are for each type of dining after September 14, then I have a thread started new dining ship by ship and it will tell you. Here is information for Royal. Royal Princess Concerto is traditional at 5 PM and 7:20 PM Allegro is Reservable every 20 minutes Symphony is walk in
  6. @ziggyuk just curious -your 7:20 pm reservation was this in the Botticelli dining room? I’m just compiling a list on another thread trying to make it as accurate as possible at this moment. If you don’t mind sharing what dining room you booked, that would be great.
  7. Which Dining room did you book? I am just listing which dining rooms are traditional and which ones are reservable every 20 minutes. Thanks if you don’t mind sharing. i will update my list if necessary.
  8. Thanks. Apparently Sky Princess Soleil DR for 2024 is doing traditional ( set time of 5:30pm & 7:50pm) and reservable every 20 minutes -that’s what cruise critic members are having experience with .so I’ll put both on my list.
  9. Burrata looks very good, but wonder why they don’t have it listed as vegetarian? So that’s the only reason why it didn’t mention it in my previous post.
  10. @YVRteacher at Sabatini’s Italian when you get onboard and when Sabatini’s is open on the first night( probably at 5 pm, or when there may be somebody staff wise hanging around at 4:30 go in person and ask). Ask when Italian night is in the main dining room. This is usually when I go to Sabatini‘s. You may also want to ask them if they can prepare any off menu items for vegetarians. Here’s what I believe is on the menu, a vegetarian soup or Insalata mista salad and you choose one of those. Under Antipasti I don’t see any vegetarian items and primi piatti course I see a porcini mushroom risotto or you choose Penne primavera. Second Piatti course Parmesan Melanzane.. And desserts I don’t have a list of, but you should be good there. hope you see your specialty dining somewhere listed in your dining app or Reservations or somewhere on your itinerary because that could become a problem if they gave it to you complementary and nobody on the ship can see it and you can’t prove it. Hope you’ve already thought of all that ,but one time our travel agent gifted it to us, and we could not find it anywhere in our itinerary and we never had “ certificate “ in our room ( when they use to do it that way) so always pays to be prepared
  11. So Bordeaux dining room was for the reservable ,every 20 minutes slots? Thanks. just trying to have accurate information to post under each ship. Appreciate it.
  12. @muffydawg I am just curious for the Island princess what dining room were you able to book and was it the traditional or the reserve every 20 minutes .just trying to see if my list of dining rooms are indeed correct for what people are actually booking. This is what I show. Island Princess-2024 & 2025 Provence- Traditional 5 pm & 7:30 pm Bordeaux- reservable, every 20 minute reservations & walk ins
  13. @YVRteacher most of the Princess ships have a clothesline in the shower/ bath so you can wash your clothes all of them in the self laundry or in the sink.
  14. @YVRteacher love your style of writing already. Love your title, fits all the lands you will be visiting ,clever. I’ll be following along on your live cruise journey. And don’t worry about not having heels. Heels are not required for formal nights. Just wear whatever “non trip “ shoes & outfit you’ve got packed to the dining room on formal nights, you should be fine. I am totally impressed that you have carry-on for your cruise and for 7 weeks at that. I’m sure you already know that there are self run laundry facilities on most decks of Princess cruises and you can take your own soap with you or you can purchase it in the laundry room. Most of the laundry rooms have a fee to wash and dry. Enjoy your summer vacation.
  15. @555 .what ship are you sailing on? If it is The Sun Princess , yes I have heard totally “ different animal” per se,than other ships reservations. And I think the answer to :can you book one night traditional dining room and the other nights in the reservable dining room that you can make a reservation every 20 minutes .I don’t think there’s a definitive answer on that yet. Have you tried going into the app or the web Version & trying to make your reservations ? probably the only way to find out for sure. ( also incase you didn’t already know -all the regular/ main dining rooms have the same menu ) Some people have reported they could make a reservation day by day in traditional and then fill in with specialty restaurants . Also there is a checkmark box for traditional that says whole voyage or entire voyage for what days. So I would just try what you want and see what happens .
  16. I have seen all sorts of answers on this question. Some people have even been able to book dining reservations for cruises in 2026, but I don’t know their status( elite/platinum) or if they’re paid in full. So not sure -there’s not too many absolute rules at this point, very difficult to figure out. My opinion is you should not be able to make as of July 2024 a dining reservation for 2026 ,but I have seen it posted that passengers have.
  17. Well darn on trying to get your family all together for dinner on an upcoming cruise and the call center wasn’t very helpful ,but heard that many times. Maybe because the two of you are in a reserve class cabin already setup by Princess to go to the reserve collection dining room?.No you don’t have to go to that dining room ,but your kids and grandkids will not be able to go to the reserve collection dining room, because they’re not in your cabin ,I’m assuming?. Maybe Princesses system just won’t let you book dinner reservations because of that? I know you said you just wanted all of you to go to the regular dining room. Maybe your kids /grandkids have to make their own dinner reservation first. And then somehow link your reservation to theirs. Maybe it’s just trying to put you out of the system because it knows what type of cabin you’re in? I don’t know -just guesses on my part. Do you have a travel agent? A travel agent could probably help you with all of this since it’s not a straight forward reservation because of your reserve collection cabin? You may not have a travel agent for this cruise, but they are usually very helpful in getting things straightened out or questions answered. Well, darn on Princess call center telling you that first time cruisers such as your kids and grandkids cannot make dinner reservations until 60 days before sailing. Keep trying .you did not mention if your cruise is soon, but perhaps you have a lot of time?
  18. This is what has been posted by others of what’s happening( i.e. they made reservations already or looked at app for their voyage)on the Coral Princess starting September 14 or 15th, 2024 and going forward ,of course all subject to change . Coral Princess Provence-Traditional 5 pm ( shared table)& 7:30 pm( private table) Bordeaux- reservable 5 pm-8:20 pm every 20 minutes & walk ins
  19. @DonEllen on my end -I see a follow/ unfollow button/tab at the very top of the thread near the share button on the right hand side.
  20. Maybe this link will help?
  21. @bunzini and @Sea Hag thanks.Perhaps this is the link?
  22. @kluv2cruz This is the information that I have based upon other posters that have made a reservation . of course this has just been compiled by others, so accuracy maybe?. But it’s the best information available as other cruise critic members post. Coral Princess Provence-Traditional 5 pm ( shared table)& 7:30 pm( private table) Bordeaux- reservable 5 pm-8:20 pm every 20 minutes & walk ins
  23. I have a thread that I started called new dining reservations ship by ship .wish I knew how to share it, but I have compiled which dining room is which on each ship, but I just have gathered this information from others that have made an actual reservation so accuracy is ? But to the best of intentions.
  24. I wish I knew how to share.(I see the share button, but it’s for other things other than cruise critic) Perhaps someone else could help out? It's under New Dining Reservations-ship to….. thread.
  25. What ship are you trying to book 5 PM traditional seating? Or are you just trying to book 5 PM in one of the reservable dining rooms? I show for the “grand “/ Gem type ships. Michelangelo is the traditional at 5 PM and 7:30 PM and the reservable is in Botticelli with Reservations every 20 minutes. at least that’s what passengers have been able to do that have posted. I have a different thread that lists ships and dining rooms on one list and it’s just been compiled by posts just like this one. thanks.
