  1. @KarmaCruisers when you’ve been sailing previously on Princess or any other cruise line do you typically have leg swelling? I would just imagine it is all the salt in the food on the ship that you’re not used to at home. But who knows. just continue to keep walking and just drink bottled water ( plus package) from now until you depart and see if that makes any difference, but I would think it would be too much salt in the food ? Check the sodium content on the bottle of water, it’s usually lower than tapwater but… not enough to make much difference in most people. if your leg swelling doesn’t go down by the time you get off the ship, then you may need to go see somebody about that, don’t ignore it. enjoy your day today.
  2. This is what information I have based on CC members experience in booking. Coral Princess Provence-Traditional 5 pm ( shared table)& 7:30 pm( private table) Bordeaux- reservable 5 pm-8:40 pm every 20 minutes(early dining times you may share a table or have a private table and the later times private table only) & Walk ins
  3. @Thunderbird19 Thanks. Do you have any information for Caribbean Princess in the island dining room as far as shared or private tables? And the same for the palm dining room? So for instance, in the island dining room at 5 PM do you have a choice to do a shared table or a private table or both? and for the 730pm dining are you able to only do a private table? and what about the Palm dining room? Is there a time cut off that you can only do private table? No problem if you don’t have any of these answers, but that seems to be the case on some of the other ships.
  4. @JimbodsI do not have particular information for the Southampton port, but yes suite guests do have priority boarding, but with that said -if you’re not one of the first ones to arrive at the port and they’ve already begun general boarding, you board right along with them. In Southampton, I do not think there is a separate line for suites to check in. I think there is a suite, platinum, & elite waiting lounge. Not everyone likes to get to the port early or cannot get to the port early, etc. But yes because you’re in a suite ,you potentially can be one of the first to board
  5. @Ramblin Wreck Cruiser You definitely went through a lot just to book your specialty reservations. Glad you got your travel agent involved. My advice to most on this forum is to please reach out to your travel agent. That’s why “one “uses a travel agent. They are there on your behalf to help. So many people on cruise critic don’t want to bother their travel agent. Of course, quite a few people looking for solutions don’t have a travel agent but… So glad that it worked out for you ,but yes Princess app/ website seems to work for some ,not for others, etc. many frustrations I am reading about . I have also heard quite a few people that have the plus or premier package and they go ahead and book their specialty dinner and their credit card is charged and they just wait till they get onboard to rectify. Who knows if that’s even the proper way to do it?? Some people have been successful in getting it charged back to their credit card and some I have heard had to get it back in onboard credit once they were onboard trying to get their refund. They (Princess) need to make it a little bit more user-friendly, but doesn’t sound like it’s happening at the moment.
  6. Try the web version, maybe that will work? so your cruise is September 2024 that you’re trying to make dining reservations for? Quite a few people have experienced not being able to make reservations. Keep trying, contact your travel agent if you have one, use a different computer use a different phone, etc. If you’re able to get into the app, perhaps you’re trying for 5 PM and it’s full already .try for a different time ,try for a different dining room, etc. but perhaps you’re not able to get into the app at all? yes, frustrations for many all-around
  7. New information for today. Please keep updating as you are able to book your dining room reservations. New Princess dining and which dining rooms offers what Some have stated that they have a guarantee room and they were able to book as of 7-1-2024 -their dining room reservation. Also have seen posts that passengers don’t have their cruise paid in full & they were able to book dining. Some have reported that they’re not platinum or elite and it’s their first Princess cruise and they’re not paid in full ,but they were able to book dining room reservations . I have just compiled this list loosely from the posts under the dining threads of those that were able to book recently , so not set in stone on accuracy. I would think reserve collection dining room ( former club class) will be wherever traditional is??, but no need to make a reservation for those. Check your cabin “ card” that should be delivered. Hopefully , others can just add to this list to keep everybody informed. The reservable (Flexible is Princesses new term) a.k.a. dine my way starts at 5 PM and there are slots available every 20 minutes. Traditional dining seems to be 5 PM and 7:30 PM with a few variations. Open seating AKA walk-in is just that. Caribbean Princess Island dining room is traditional 5 PM and 7:30 PM Coral dining room is walk-in? & Reserve collection dining room- entrance on starboard And Palm Is reservable? Coral Princess Provence-Traditional 5 pm ( shared table)& 7:30 pm( private table) Bordeaux- reservable 5 pm-8:20 pm every 20 minutes & walk ins Crown Princess Botticelli is reservable every 20 minute reservations Michelangelo is traditional 5 pm & 7:30pm DA Vinci- walk in Diamond Princess Savoy and Vivaldi are reservable International dining room is traditional at 5:20 PM and 7:50 pm Pacific Moon and Santa Fe are walk-in Discovery Princess Juneau- Traditional 5 pm & 7:30 pm( someone else reported reservable??) Ketchikan- reservable every 20 minute slots Skagway- walk in Enchanted Princess Amalfi dining room -reservable every 20 minutes from 5 pm-8:20pm Santorini-Traditional 5 pm & 7:30 pm Capri- walk in Emerald Princess Michelangelo is traditional DA Vinci walk-in Botticelli is reservable Grand Princess Michelangelo is traditional at 5 PM and 7:30 PM Botticelli is reservable DAVinci- walk in? & Also Reserve collection Dining room- entrance on starboard Island Princess-2024 & 2025 Provence- Traditional 5 pm & 7:30 pm Bordeaux- reservable, every 20 minutes & walk ins Island Princess-2026 Provence- reservable every 20 minutes Majestic Princess- 2024-2025 Symphony -Traditional at 5pm & 7:30 pm Regal Princess Symphony- Traditional 5 pm ( private or shared table) or 7:30pm( private table only) Allegro-reservable 5 pm - 8:40 pm,every 20 minute reservation time slots Concerto- walk in Royal Princess Concerto is traditional at 5 PM and 7:20 PM Allegro is Reservable every 20 minutes Symphony is walk in Ruby Princess Michelangelo is traditional at 5 PM ( shared or private table)and 7:20 pm (private table) Botticelli- reservable, every 20 min .time slots- can get private table Sapphire Princess Vivaldi & Savoy-reservable every 20 minutes Sky-2024 & 2025 This ship is not consistent with what passengers are booking,so?? Soleil-Traditional at 5:30 pm & 7:50 pm AND reservable every 20 minute reservations September 2024? Or 2025- Traditional late seating only private tables, not shared Able to share table in reservable DR ( every 20 minutes) for 7:30 pm November 2024 Soleil- reservable every 20 minutes Estrella- walk in Cielo-reservable every 20 minutes Sky 2026 Soleil- reservable, every 20 minute time slots
  8. @mthomp5 what if you try a different dining room or time and see if that is available. Might not be your preferred time or room, but since your cruise is so close( September 2024). Maybe the time that you’re showing on your app of 5 PM is already full? Don’t forget there’s always a walk-in dining room, or specialty dining ,or buffet or casual dining. Frustrating for sure on all of this, but I’m sure there will be quite a few people once they get onboard trying to get into the dining room of their choice and the time of their choice. Lots of people make reservations and don’t show up for whatever reason. Could be a long port day and they just decided they don’t want to go to the dining room for dinner that night or they have so many reservations made they don’t know which ones they’ve canceled or which ones they’ve made, and so many other scenarios-so many variables and this new dining program is going to test the staff and the passengers. It already has for passengers. Quite a few passengers definitely wanted the traditional brought back. My husband and I quite liked in the past the late traditional dining and it was definitely a less crowded dining room, but we enjoyed the later seating as we could have a pre-dinner cocktail and nibble and never felt full before dinner and it gave us plenty of time after especially if departing port at 6 PM to have a nice leisure time getting ready for dinner most evenings. But then we were known to go to the late show and then go check out music ,so it wasn’t like we were eating dinner late and then going straight to bed. Choices are good. These new dining choices will work itself out. I am sure as they start in the middle of September, but definitely going to be potentially a mess at the beginning.
  9. This is from Princess.com: Before you sail, your Onboard Credit can be used to purchase shore excursions online through Cruise Personalizer. When you check out, we’ll automatically apply your credit to the payment due unless you uncheck the "onboard credit applied" box on the "Reservation Summary" screen. Once on board, you can use Onboard Credit on shore excursions, specialty dining, spa treatments, beverage packages and more. Purchases will be added to your stateroom folio and your Onboard Credit will be automatically applied before your credit card is charged at the end of your cruise.
  10. @KAJ24 Some OBC use to be refundable, some not. I’m not sure on that, but make sure you spend all of it if that applies to you. Can always check at guest services once onboard to see if you have any refundable OBC or it might be listed as such on your documents. This is from Princess.com FAQ’s: Once on board, you can use Onboard Credit on shore excursions, specialty dining, spa treatments, beverage packages and more. Purchases will be added to your stateroom folio and your Onboard Credit will be automatically applied before your credit card is charged at the end of your cruise.
  11. @cr8tiv1 thanks for the information on Reserve collection dining location for Grand Princess and Caribbean Princess.
  12. @latebloomer56 I don’t have DaVinci listed on The Grand, but I assume it is the walk in restaurant , just by deduction of what I have listed. My guess would be all ships would hold reserve collection meals in traditional dining room, but no one that I have seen has posted this. So yes,my guess on The Grand Princess is Michelangelo . Time will tell for sure and if you have that type of cabin, I would think that you would have something in your room that would tell you where “ your” DR is. But, since all this dining is new, who knows how it will actually play out. no need to reserve any dining at all if you have reserve collection mini or full suite, except specialty restaurants.
  13. @rideev darn on not being able to book traditional dining for your cruise. Yes, traditional is set time, set table, & set wait staff, etc. Did you try both 5 pm & 7:20? Or only one or the other? Have you been able to book Allegro, even if that is not your first choice? I know quite a few people have been having issues logging into their apps, but they’ve been able to do it on the web version and vice versa. No idea if a travel agent could help you out on this or not ,but if you have one, I would reach out to them. And maybe perhaps when you get onboard it won’t be a big deal?? Perhaps the DR & time of choice will be accomplished once onboard. Who knows , but at this point frustrating for sure . Royal Princess Concerto is traditional at 5 PM and 7:20 PM Allegro is Reservable every 20 minutes Symphony is walk in
  14. Might be a ship by ship roll out for dining reservations for 1 + years out?? So far Sky Princess & Island Princess has been bookable for 2026,this has been reported by cruise critic members. Others have reported that they keep getting error messages and they just keep trying and they’re able to get a reservation. Also members have said they’re not paid for a cruise in full ,but they’re able to book dining room reservations. Others have said they are not platinum or elite and it’s their first Princess cruise and they’re not paid in full and they’ve been able to book dining room reservations. So it seems to be all over the board at this moment. Keep trying for reservations if that is what you desire. The only “thing “that I’m not seeing Cruise critic members talk about is the walk-in restaurants, they are available once one cruises after September 14/15,but nobody’s really asking about those. So who knows when this new dining program takes effect in September if the walk-in places will be totally empty? There is a lot of places to dine -in the evening ,so sounds like the majority of cruise critic members are wanting to book a reservation for main dining room(s) and get it over with, but of course there’s the buffet, specialty restaurants, casual restaurants, etc.
  15. @ceilie1 so on Coral Princess April 2025 Bordeaux DR was for reservable dining every 20 minutes time slots? That is what I have compiled on a different thread. Thanks.
  16. So Sky Princess in December 2024? Reservation for Cielo - traditional ? or the dining room that takes reservations every 20 minutes. Thanks so much,Sky Princess at the moment is one of the only Princess ships with conflicting information year to year. Passengers have dining booked for 2026 already on Sky. Thanks so much My information is Cielo is the reservable DR with time slots for every 20 minutes to reserve.
  17. @dog Thanks for the information. Sorry, I hope I’m not the one that’s been confusing to anyone. I’m just trying to compile one list for everybody to look at that’s correct. And I appreciate your help. For March on the sky, the Celio dining room your 530pm reservation -is that traditional or is that the reservable every 20 minute reservation dining room ? also for March 2026 on the Enchanted in the Santorini dining room is your 5:20 PM for traditional or the reserve dining room which has 20 minute time-slots? thanks so much Sky Princess seems to be the only ship with conflicting information, but …. So who knows why.
  18. @dog so you booked Sky Princess for April 2025 with dining reservations showing Cielo DR with Reservations every 20 minutes and you show traditional at 5:30 PM and 7:50 PM in Soleil dining room? I think my information is correct. I’m just trying to update my list as others are booking. Thanks, appreciate it.
  19. @BeforeSunsetLemonade Looking forward to following along on your live AK cruise. Very informative so far. Enjoy all the scenery.
  20. @KarmaCruisers Nice glacier bay photos. Yes glacier bay is a very relaxing balcony day. Hang in there and just continue to enjoy your vacation. Put one foot in front of the other & enjoy life. Good attitude about trying to do better. You have to love yourself first. Hopefully your cousins ( cabin mates)are encouraging. Enjoying following along.
  21. @Boku I am trying for it not to be confusing. That’s why I’ve listed it ship by ship and what other passengers are actually booking and all the pertinent information all in one spot. I am sure there will be changes as all of this new dining comes into play and goes along, but at least this is a start.
  22. @Ken the cruiser enjoy your cruise and very excited to be following along with your live from ,enjoyed quite a few in the past.
  23. @palolake yes the Princess website does say :priority specialty dining reservations for reserve collection minis. Receive special assistance with priority Reservations at your favorite specialty restaurants. I would say if you have an opportunity to book specialty now ,prior to your voyage, I would, if you know when & where you want to dine. But if you don’t know where you want to dine or which evening until you get onboard, I’m sure someone ( cruise staff in specialty?) can help you with the special assistance. They probably hold a certain number of reservations for special purposes, like casino comps, suites, reserve collection minis, etc.
  24. @ziggyuk thank you so much for the 7:20 pm correction,it’s updated for Ruby Princess, Michelangelo DR. Appreciate it.
