  1. Yes, I remember those! And as Forest Gump would say “That’s all I have to say about that!” Anything else would be NSFFT (Not suitable for family thread). 😏
  2. Great stingray video, Greg. Have you ever looked at the underside of them? Maybe it is just me, but they look like a face. A picture of one from this summer.
  3. I was just going to say Look at those prices. We had some of those glasses, but someone got rid of them. I found out after the fact. Had hurricane glasses from NCL, Carnival, Royal, and from where I had the best Cat 5 ever, Pat O’Brien’s.
  4. The bus looked like it was really packed in. Agree with the touch of a stingray, smooth and silky. How did you manage with your arm out of the sling?
  5. That is a little bit of a hike, if you walked there from Eagle Beach.
  6. Susan hates driving in the larger cities, so I usually drive those parts of our trips. Plus, I would be too nervous with her driving those places.
  7. Got to love winter hockey. I just got an email that tickets are available for the Winter Classic on January 2, 2023 at Fenway Park. A matchup between our Pens and the Bruins. My son made the first Winter Classic in 2008 at Orchard Park between the Pens and Sabres. That was a memorable game with the snow, plus a Pen’s win with Sid getting the game winner in a shoot out. He was there with some of his grad school buddies. I took him to the 2011 Winter Classic at Heinz Field between the Pens and Caps. Unfortunately, we saw our Pens have a loss in that one. The Pens had their new arena open that season, so I had a package that included the home opener to christen the new arena, and the Winter Classic. So we were supposed to be the first event at the new arena, then they decided to bring in a singer earlier to open it. I know it was just a ploy to make me spend more money, but I did it. Paul McCartney put on one of the best concerts I ever saw. Sorry, but talk of winter hockey took me down memory lane.
  8. My day so far today. Took our daughter out to breakfast this morning. She has a few things on her agenda today, including filling out an application for a new cat. Grandson is not quite ready for a new one, because the loss of Lucy hit him really hard. Susan and I stopped and got our flu shots before making our drive to Erie. We were going there to take some groceries and lunch to her sister who has Covid. Just dropped at her door and left, because neither of us need to catch it right now. We did our shopping at Wegmans. I really wish they had one close to us. We use to shop at the ones in Buffalo and Rochester NY, when our son lived there. I guess when you get this close, you are in Bills country. Driving home now, and seeing some examples of people not remembering how to drive on snow and ice. Several cars off the road and in the bushes.
  9. Hope you got there early enough to get loungers and an umbrella. They are pricy there.
  10. Bob, thanks for the great review and great pictures, especially those from Hawaii. Brings back some good memories. I think that one picture you posted of the beach with the arch along the Nāpali coast, is the same beach they set us down on, on our helicopter tour. Thanks for taking us along.
  11. Yeah, then the next thing you know, you are watching this DVD
  12. Since we may be traveling to Erie today, I thought I would check the traffic cameras. Looks like most of the area got a decent coating of snow, but traffic seems to be moving ok. I am not ready for this.
  13. I woke up and looked out the window, and said “WHAT IS THIS S***?” That’s right, it is SNOW!!! I made a little snowball to bring in to Susan. Now it is up to 33° and it had changed to freezing rain.
  14. Seven pages in, and I don’t know how I missed the start of this. Oh well, I am adding one more LIVE that I can’t keep up with. I like the drink list. It is great to have a goal.
  15. That’s why I like our zoned heating. Three thermostats in our house, so we keep bedrooms a little cooler. Other areas set at different temperatures.
  16. I think I may have a photo of me from 2006, pulling a heaving line that was attached to the mooring line of the Serenade.
  17. I have really been having trouble keeping up with this thread and the LIVEs. Today was a day for errands. Lunch today. It was cloudy, windy, and a temperature that said feels like 31°, so it was hard to get motivated to go out for a walk. But we did, and saw this. IMG_6105.MOV I think if I would have stood there long enough, she would have walked up to me.
  18. One thing you didn’t mention, is that you can use the Starbucks app to pay for your drinks at Starbucks on the ship. You will also earn stars, but you can’t use stars on the ship to pay for the drinks.
  19. Greg, that is such a wonderful story. I am sure Elaine was glad she met you and Linda, and that she was able to share remembrances with you. I wish you and Linda a happy anniversary, and many more.
  20. I think it was one of the Oasis cruises we did last January, they were still using those horrible paper straws. Anyhow, it was interesting that we saw the captain’s officers getting handfuls of the Starbucks straws every morning, and nothing else from there. They must have hated those paper ones also.
  21. Now I am getting confused between your thread and John’s thread, with who is eating what meals. All I know is it all looks good, and it is making me hungry. I think we will have hibachi for lunch today. 😋
