  1. Last time, we went to Coco Beach Club, but those prices are pretty high now. At least it had a heated pool. We usually hang out at Harbor Beach. It is pretty close to food venues. Water there, and in the Oasis pool may be a little cool. I think they need to update their map on the island to show the new adult places.
  2. Thanks for that. My daughter did a lot of research before their first trip there, and did the genie+ and lightning lanes. I know I will be picking her brain for recommendations. I think with so many days there, and park hopper passes for those days, we will see what we want. Plus, we will just take some time to enjoy the resort. Found these in the wedding book, and wondered if they are still good. ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ
  3. We were on Allure this month. We did Symphony, then the beach house for the holidays after that cruise, then Allure. Needed one more point to bump us up to D+, so we figured as long as we were in Florida, why not.
  4. It appears I have my Disney research cut out for me. After talking about our post Utopia cruise plans, we thought we would try something different than staying at the Portofino hotel at Universal. Since we took our grandson there last summer, his mom and dad took him to the one in California last Thanksgiving, and they plan on going again in March. With three Universal trips for him, Disney seemed like a better option. So now we are booked for seven days at the Wilderness lodge. We have park hopper passes, and many of the meals included, but now I have to find out about booking times, genies, and all those other good things. It was so much easier years ago.
  5. Are you getting paper cruise compasses? Once onboard & connected to the ship wifi, use this linkโ€ฆ https://minio.rccl.com/compass/cruisecompass.pdf That should give you the daily Cruise Compass in PDF form and you can save them to your phone or iPad.
  6. Good to see they downsized to 10 oz cans. Those 12 oz ones were getting heavy. ๐Ÿ˜‚
  7. This may be the one you are thinking of, although this diagram is from Anthem. I had downloaded it while looking at cabins for that ship. It shows the double Davits in front of Harryโ€™s cabin.
  8. Congratulations on your 25th Anniversary. We will be celebrating ours on our Utopia cruise this summer, although it is a bigger number than yours. Donโ€™t know how I missed seeing these on Symphony or Allure. I am pretty sure I visited Starbucks more than once. Maybe I was singularly focused on getting a latte if the machine in the Crown lounge was not ready.
  9. Yeah, but that is adults (18+) only. No kids in that area.
  10. That sucks to have that at the end of a nice cruise. Me, I would be looking at booking another cruise just to get rid of some stress. At least you have one booked, and sailing soon. Let us know on Daniโ€™s thread if you do a live from VV.
  11. Realized I hadnโ€™t posted a wildlife photo for a while. We finally had a couple nice days to get out for a walk. Ten miles today. Saw a few of these.
  12. I had chicken Pad Thai, so no tails on it Susan had shrimp fried rice, and no tails there, either. I am slowly working my way through their huge menu. Everything so far has been pretty good.
  13. Yes, Princess line, but a new ship we booked for next year, because it was so much less than Oasis.
  14. The Dome on the Sun is one of the things that intrigues me on that ship. Very similar concept they will use for shows at night, and as a solarium pool during the day. At least the inaugural for Icon is going smoother. The inaugural for Sun was supposed to be a week from Wednesday, and they just announced last Wednesday that it was cancelled.
  15. I saw a video when the show was going on, and it didnโ€™t look like sight lines were very good from the back, at least from their camera vantage point. Will be interested in how it is.
  16. I can honestly say I have never had a meal in WJ like that. Wouldnโ€™t it be nice if they served that on every cruise.
  17. We saw those on Symphony last month. That is exactly what I said when I saw those for sale.
  18. + 1. Have a great cruise on the new ship. I would be interested in your opinions of the Aquadome. From the video I saw, it looks like a nice place, but it it looked like a limited capacity for the show and the sight lines did not look good. Maybe that was because it was filmed from near the back, but performers would disappear from view when they got near the front.
  19. Thank you, Dani. That looks like a very nice service, but it doesnโ€™t look like that airport to port. I may have to give them a call. Lots of time to find one before August. That looks like a possibility. A Suburban would fit our crew and bags. I still want to look into a stretch limo, because the grandkids would get a kick out of it. I did that on one cruise we sailed out of New Orleans where we had six adults and a lot of bags. Not sure how many bags we will have this trip, because we are staying a week after the cruise. I may want to get some tips from you on Disney. Our daughter and her family rented a beach house for the week after the cruise, and Susan and I plan to take our California grandson back to Universal and maybe do a couple days at Disney parks. Likely we will stay at Portofino again, because we liked it so much. It has been years since we have been to Disney, and things have changed a lot since then. Thanks. Did you use them from Orlando airport to Port Canaveral?
  20. When we were on Symphony last month, Royal was selling ducks for $3. I guess that was for those parents that had kids unable to find one. They could just buy and hide it where they could find it. Wonder if this is going to be a new item on all the ships
  21. You are bound to hit some setbacks, Greg. That is what happened when my mom had hers done. Just keep working at it, and it will get better.
  22. I am looking for a recommendation from some of our friends here. Our plans for Summer of Fun 4.0 continue, and part of that is to take the grandkids and our daughter and SIL on the Utopia. I just booked all of our flights to Orlando MCO). Has anyone used a car service they can recommend. Since there will be seven of us, plus luggage, I would like to keep all of us in one vehicle like a van or stretch limo, instead of using a couple Ubers. We would be going to our hotel at Port Canaveral, since we arrive the day before the cruise. If anyone has someone they could recommend, I would appreciate it.
