  1. Enjoy that cruise. We did that R/T from San Francisco on the Grand Princess for my retirement cruise. Are they substituting a port for Lahaina?
  2. Busy day for us. Our grandson’s team had their championship game today. It was a low scoring game, and the two teams were tied at the end of regulation. Overtime, and their opponent had first possession. Grandson tossed the winning TD pass on their first OT possession, and they came away with their championship win. Susan and I came home, and did our good deed for the day. Yesterday, while I cleaned up leaves and mowed our yard, she took our walking blower to our 93yo neighbor’s house and blew his leaves all in piles. So, after the game, we both went over and disposed of all his leaves and I mowed his grass for him. Now to get cleaned up and dinner out.
  3. Enjoy that time with your granddaughters, and congratulations on the news that #6 is on the way. I don’t think I could properly spoil any more than the 3 we have. We were talking to our neighbor, and their grandkid count is up to 10 now (9 boys and 1 girl) That is great that the wedding went off without a hitch. Lovely photo.
  4. Greg, glad your surgery went well. Now it is just a matter of getting up and working it. As for the brand new bag, that is just giving me shivers up and down my spine. Especially the thought of keeping it in for 10 days. 😬
  5. Yes you do. They are open for booking, 45-55 days before sailing. I booked shows for the Symphony 12/16 sailing a week ago. Log in to your account online, and select Entertainment.
  6. Good luck with your knee surgery tomorrow, and with the bike. How long will they have you use the bike? I assume it is to help with your range of motion, or to keep things flexible. You will probably be shocked at how much they charge your insurance for use of one of those. I know I was shocked to see they charged 10k for the month I wore a WiFi heart monitor.
  7. Looks very much like ours this morning, except the roads were also covered. People were out, relearning their winter driving skills.
  8. Our trick or treaters were pretty steady for the first hour and a half of the two hour time frame. We ended up with maybe 150. Quite a few cars driving into our neighborhood, and dropping off kids. Several kids said ours was their favorite house, since we were giving out full size bars. And, we heard the phrase “For real”, when we told some to take more than one. 😂
  9. I was awake late last night to check in for our December cruise. Then I woke up to this, this morning. Hmm, go out and build a snowman or back to bed? Think I will choose option 2. It is 28° at 6:30.
  10. Our trick or treat hours just ended. We still had about 40 pieces of candy left, and we were telling several of the kids to take a few. We set up a card table at the end of our drive, and some of our immediate neighbors do the same. We spend the evening catching up with everyone and spreading neighborhood gossip. By the end of the evening, it was down to 38°, and we are supposed to get snow overnight. I am not ready for that. It is a good thing we had some warm, cinnamon apple cider with a little fireball added to take off the chill.
  11. We started watching the first few episodes of Bodies, then got pulled away from it when we saw that Bosch Legacy, Season 2 was released. We just finished the first 6 episodes, but have to wait till Friday for the next two to be released. The final two will be released on November 10th. I am so used to seeing Titus Welliver playing Harry, that is who I see when I read the books. I think they did good to cast him in that roll.
  12. Let’s hope they stay stable, and you only have to continue with follow-up scans. I know there is a lot of anxiety, waiting on scan results and waiting to see the doctor about them. Hoping your scan results are good.
  13. We almost had that situation recently. After I fixed the corner of the wall that Susan introduced the car to, she decided she wanted a nice, big shoe rack in that corner. So I got a big one that was pretty tall. Backed the SUV in, started to open the rear hatch, and there wasn’t enough room to clear the new shoe rack. Then it was a matter of finding the sweet spot where the rear hatch would open and the garage door would close. It works now, but with only 2” clearance at the door and at the rack. She hasn’t tried to back that one in yet. oh, and we have two SUVs, our boat, gas grill, table saw, radial saw, and a fridge in our garage too. Good thing I have a two level storage barn for our other outdoor things.
  14. We have another cold, rainy day today. Yesterday was the final football game for the PeeWee team our granddaughter cheers for. Raincoats and gloves were the outfits of the day. Their team went undefeated again this season, and they managed a win in this championship game with a score of 6-0. We were all soaked after this game that will billed as the Super Bowl. Even the cheerleaders received Super Bowl medals.
  15. @singinalot Crystal, let me add my voice to those who were sorry to hear your news. Wishing you the best as you start a new chapter in your life. @dani negreanu Dani, it was good to see a pot from you this morning. We continue to pray for your safety.
  16. You are lucky you caught it right away. When Susan had Lyme disease this summer, her aches and pains were so bad, she could hardly get out of bed for a week. She caught hers pretty early too, but I guess not soon enough.
  17. I think we will only put up our pencil tree in our family room this year, since we are leaving so early for Florida. That will have to wait till after Thanksgiving, because that is where we set up for Thanksgiving dinner, and we will have 12-14 people plus our big table we set up.
  18. Yesterday was my grandson’s last, regular season football game. They won 38-14. Next Saturday is the championship game. They are playing a team they beat in the regular season, so he is hoping for a repeat.
