  1. @Sea Dog Greg, I hope Linda has a good outcome, and that you get some relief for your knee until you have it replaced. I walked by this place yesterday, and thought of you. It looked interesting inside, but I doubt I will get to try it out with the grandkids along.
  2. Lunch today was at Wicked Tuna at the 2nd Avenue Pier. A tall Blue Moon and a Shrimp Po’Boy for me. Granddaughter is learning some of my bad habits. A Banana Pudding Cheesecake for her. Don’t remember what this sushi was, but my daughter says it was good.
  3. We are staying at the Homewood Suites Oceanfront. It is near the Skywheel. We moved to this one, mid-stay last year, after finding the Breakers to be dirty and unacceptable. Since the grandkids liked this place, we decided to return to it.
  4. We did a couple yesterday, but I didn’t get pictures because a rainstorm moved in as they were getting finished. It is nice that we have water slides, lazy river, pool, and hot tubs under cover, so the rain wasn’t a problem.
  5. She is doing better, but is on meds for the next couple weeks yet. Much more planned for the next few days, before we head home.
  6. A couple things I learned today. 1. I can no longer keep up in a race with these kids. 2. I can no longer put away as much food as they do. I do have a food picture from today’s lunch. Oh wait, that was a painkiller. This is the food. A shrimp boil. It was pretty good Meanwhile, my one grandson ate two crab leg dinners, and his sister had one. And this was just for lunch. What is a trip to MB without some mini golf. As expected, my golfing grandson had the low score. All in all, they are having a flipping good time.
  7. I learned a long time ago, to not stress over little messes (or big ones either), when the kids or grandkids are around. It makes our time much more enjoyable. since we keep one full time in the summers, we would go crazy thinking about messes.
  8. Our flight from Pittsburgh to Myrtle Beach yesterday was bumpy all the way. The grandkids wasted no time in jumping into the fun. We have a nice ocean front view for the week. I did experience one of those Southern Hurricanes, but I must say it was a pretty weak one. No food pictures, because it wasn’t photo worthy. No fine dining in this week’s forecast. A couple photos from last night on the beach. I kind of like this one of the pier. Hope everyone has a great start to their week.
  9. Sorry to hear of the passing of Eric’s friend. Dialysis does take a toll on the body. My father was a three day a week dialysis patient for several years before he passed away.
  10. What a difference a couple years make. Our last Celebrity sailing was January, 2020, and we paid an average of $320 a night total for the two of us. That was for a balcony, and it included premium beverage package, Wi-Fi, and gratuities, for both of us, plus $500 in OBC. Their prices are about double that now.
  11. Been busy the last couple of days with all the grandkids. We watched my daughter’s two, while she was out to dinner with some of her teacher coworkers. They were all here again today, and we went out to a fitness trail while Susan had a doctor’s appointment. The kids have put up a magnetic board in our living room, and they are counting down to the next big adventure. They are excited to spend next week there. Meanwhile, I found a Green Hawaiian on the restaurant menu tonight. I guess tomorrow will be packing day. I am just glad Susan is better than she was a week ago.
  12. The problem with the Sony TVs, is they last too long. I keep saying I want to replace ours with a larger one, but this one keeps going like the energizer bunny. cute grandkids. You should keep them around longer and spoil them some more.
  13. Today has been a jam packed day. Started with bike riding this morning. Then it was time to finally hitch up the boat for this season’s first voyage. But first, a stop for subs. This place has the largest ones. The boys were ready to go. Some leftover sub rolls for the wildlife. It was a beautiful, sunny day on the lake. After my granddaughter’s gymnastic class, she and my daughter joined us. Granddaughter had the first tube ride of the season. Now, the boat is put away, and we are enjoying a Doobie Brothers tribute band.
  14. Last night’s fireworks show was not as good as the one the night before. Due to the winds, and temperature, the smoke was getting pushed toward the viewing area. It made the fireworks look like lightning in a cloud. We did have a good time. All the kids seemed to gravitate to my vehicle. I think I counted my three plus 7 others. Maybe it was because I had blankets for them to hang out on. And maybe because I showed up with lots of glow sticks. IMG_7858.mp4 I think I enjoyed them all with thes, more than the fireworks.
  15. We will see what she finds out on Friday. The good thing is, she says she feels like herself today. I keep telling her to not push it, and take it easy. She is going to go with me and the grandkids, as we get some lunch then relax on the boat in the sun this afternoon.
  16. I am really annoyed with her doctor. She can’t even see her until the 7th, and then, it will be with a nurse practitioner. They told her they probably will not even test to confirm, because they would just put her on the drugs she was prescribed when she went to urgent care. Susan is just tired of the constant headaches, fever that keeps coming back, and body aches. She wants to feel better, yesterday. She will miss out, once again, tonight, as we meet up with my daughter and her family, along with several friends, for another fireworks show. At least tonight’s show is closer to home.
  17. It has been a long time since I have seen long lines at gas stations. Drove by two Sheetz stations, and the lines are 1/4 mile long. They are selling gas today for $1.776
