Helping out at my daughterβs house this morning, so I started searching for Ricky. I thought I found him, but he looked like instead of being inside a box, the box was inside him. Oh wait, that is my granddaughterβs, work in progress, Valentineβs Day box. I did track him down, and found him getting ready for the game. Looks like he prefers the 50 yard line.

Went out to the lake for a walk this morning, before the high winds are due to arrive. (20-30 mph winds with gusts to 50 mph) Saw three eagles, and we should start seeing many more in the next two months. This one was a little far away for a good iPhone photo. I may need to carry my Nikon, which has a better zoom. I tried to get closer to two of them sitting in a tree, but they took flight. I didnβt realize their average wingspan is 7 feet. Oh well, five miles walked before 10 am.

Icon - Are they prepared for the amount of kids?

Who do you think they are targeting with all their amped ships? That is their demographics -
I hate those excursions that say you are too old to book them. I have been told it an insurance decision for whatever individual operator Royal is using, and the age limitations are not determined by Royal. They probably had too many people over a certain age getting injured in some fashion, so insurance carrier would tell them to put an age limit on them. Of course, it probably doesnβt make much sense, since they have everyone sign a waiver anyhow. It is just those out-of-shape old people that give us old people, that stay in shape, a bad name. I would book Summit again in a heartbeat. I liked that ship.

I guess count me as one of those who like the pool at Margaritaville in Falmouth, but only because I like the Cuban sandwich there. The last time we were there, we were sitting in the margarita glass shaped hot tub, when my wife looked down and saw some money on the ground under it. $150!!! So I climbed out and went down to retrieve it. I thought, dang, this will pay for all our food and drink today. Then I got the bill for something like $14,000. I guess their $150 doesnβt go as far as ours. π€£

We flew with them about nine or ten years ago, because we could get a direct flight from Cleveland to San Francisco for around $100. What I remember about them was their seats were very hard, didnβt recline, and they had less space between your seat and the one in front. It seems like anywhere we would want to fly now had extremely long layovers. I know you can pay extra for those couple of reclining seats in the first couple rows, but they are comparable to a regular seat on a SW aircraft. Once you add in seat selection fees, carry on fees, bag fees, costs for a soda or a snack, etc., I am not sure you are saving much at all.

Dani, thank you for asking. Last week was the last of her chemotherapy sessions before surgery. Next week will be more testing in preparation for surgery the following week. The doctors are encouraged by her progress, but they need to wait until after surgery and any necessary biopsies to determine what may be needed next. We are not ready to stop holding our breath yet.

Fancy. I donβt suppose Mike uses any of these things anymore. This was my flight computer when I was learning to fly. It kind of reminded me of using a slide rule. Then there were the paper maps to chart your flight. This one encompasses Pittsburgh and Cleveland, with all the smaller airports. I learned to fly out of a small airport in Grove City, PA, and I can still make out some of the lines plotting courses to other airports in the area. I wish I would have kept up with it, but marriage and kids got in the way, and I suddenly had other things to spend money on.

Congratulations on your first cruise as Pinnacles. Sorry to hear about your lost bag, and I hope it get found. Your problem with your computer reminds me that I need to do a new backup on ours. Been meaning to do that. And as far as your unused drink vouchers, if we meet up on a cruise again, I may be able to help you out with those. π

I think I am flying the wrong airline. My Daughter-in-law just sent me these pictures from her flight to Singapore. Definitely more room on the plane than my short flights And better food And I can say that I have never been served lobster on a flight Nice lights from there. I guess I will be enjoying the sites thru her eyes
