  1. Raspberry pistachio vacherin was still on the Boulud favorites last week on Constellation- one fo my favorites so hope this is only a Beyond thing!
  2. Thanks for the update- we have an Equinox cruise upcoming so good to know about the timing
  3. Same check in experience for the Feb 28 Eclipse sailing, but unfortunately this was the worst cruise we have been on since restart for coughing and sneezing. Multiple room service trays in the hall and cruise director was out sick towards the end and into the next cruise. Glad to hear yours was better!
  4. We have been to Israel twice on cruises. The first time Ashdod was canceled at 11 pm the night before arrival and we went to Haifa for the 4 days instead. We were given free telephone access to call tour operators. Our tour operator knew before we called and had already made arrangements to meet us at Haifa. More travel time but was still amazing trip. The 2nd trip last fall went as planned- Israel is so worth multiple visits!
  5. Most recommendations ( in the US CDC and most medical institutions) recommend 5 day isolation after testing positive and no retest recommended as some will test positive for weeks even though no longer contagious .
  6. This would encourage more to report and be willing to be isolated. That is Celebrity’s Covid policy, at least for now and has been their policy for Noro and flu for quite some time.
  7. https://travel-israel.info/about-us/moti-bar-tuv
  8. We did this itinerary onCelebrity 10 years ago but more recently (Nov 22), a similar itinerary on Azamara. We did a ship tour to Cairo ( mainly because of distance away from Alexandria) and it was a long day but we were able to see all that we wanted. We did use Ramasside tours for private tour of Alexandria and were very pleased. For Israel would highly recommend using a private guide- costly but so worth it! We used Moti Bar-Tuv both in 2011 as well as last year and saw and learned so much! We were able to customize to our specifications and were at each site well before all the large groups. Since we had visited before we were able to set up some different experiences not on the “ typical tourist” list for the last trip but still go back to some of the laces that most touched us previously. We did not spend overnights off the ship but started out early each morning with our guide and planned the routes to make best use of time.
  9. After following all the threads earlier in the year, we were a bit concerned before our Eclipse cruise as we would be dining in MDR. However, main dining food was overall very good/ excellent. One night did have the spring rolls and lobster ravioli included in the apps. The soups were good. Toronedos were excellent as was steak Diane. There was not a beef choice every night except for the everyday menu steak so did miss that. I was able to get the child’s filet on the non- beef offering nights. There was always a poultry choice and often a pork . Each fish option was really good ( different fish each night of the 10 and only one tilapia 😉).DH ate fish every night except for the toronedos night. While not vegetarians, we enjoyed several of those options “ to share”. We would not hesitate to dine in MDR for future cruises.
  10. On recent Eclipse, iPads were 1 generation old ( 9th gen. vs current 10th) There were Mac’s and Apple Watches but did not check the years.
  11. I spoke with Captain's club rep but again this was pre- Covid so there has been lots of turnover in staffing since then... Perhaps ask for a supervisor if the initial rep doesnt know the answer or understand the issue
  12. Volunteer Point in the Falklands was incredible. Nyree and Estancia tours were great!
  13. We did that ( left in the evening before an overnight) but that was pre-Covid. Even then, we had to clear it through Celebrity pre-cruise and follow up with guest services on board. Definitely should check with Celebrity.
  14. It is a good benefit but be aware that there may still be copays and overages for which the retiree is responsible (especially if you are not able to find a network provider with guarantee of benefits), so we have added the relatively inexpensive Geoblue annual policy to our coverage from the fepblue website regarding overseas coverage:"Under all three of our coverage options, you pay the difference between our payment and the amount billed, in addition to your cost share amounts unless the Overseas Assistance Center, GMMI, has arranged direct billing with your provider."
  15. Even while docked/tendered near shore, there was absolutely no service on the balcony and had to get closer to the door at times to be able to have stable connection and we were in a mid ship concierge cabin. When most were off the ship, we were able to stream one show, There was relatively good connection in the library and of course the I-lounge. It seems that, altho Starlink was added to Eclipse, the infrastructure to support it being available in all cabins has not yet been updated. This was not the case on Silhouette in January- the internet was stable and very fast- streaming was done without buffering.
  16. even premium starlink had trouble logging on and staying logged on recent Eclipse down under
  17. They were on recent Eclipse concierge lunch menu
  18. Thanks for the head's up! - will call them tomorrow to request price adjustment on booked cruise
  19. As was George’s taxi- prompt email contact and there early for each pick up
  20. currently available on the Eclipse in MDR- I didn’t see a kid’s menu, just asked for it .
  21. The Intercontinental does as well.
  22. In our recent experience the OBC part was almost immediate. The credit card piece was 1-2 weeks.
  23. There was some motion when we were moving quickly between ports but, and I am prone to motion sickness, did not find it that bad
