  1. I believe an18% service charge might be added above the amount for any meals purchased outright as of a few weeks ago. Someone may give us confirmation on that.
  2. Chances are, you won’t get your bid upgrade .. but I wouldn’t completely count it out. Someone may cancel late in the game and then the bids can be accepted up the line. There are always some no shows and/or cancellations.
  3. While you do have to have someone rebook it under the current promotion, a good Princess CVP (Cruise Vacation Planner) should be able to move the flights for you. Maybe? Mine has done it for me before.
  4. That has been my experience, too with the crew and staff on Princess. sure hope you are now feeling well. I’ve really enjoyed following along with your live feed!
  5. I am so sorry to hear this. my advice is eat a green apple and club soda with bitters .. sure hope you feel better!
  6. If just the birthdate and name were required (although, the OP indicated there were more personal questions), I’m sure it has to do with insurance reasons. If one lied about his or her age, I’m sure they have voided any chance of insurance coverage if they lie about it. I would have easily given them my birthday year .. maybe the month and date if I was just there on the line. I would have no problem giving them this data as well, it’s out there everywhere. But, I would offered it little by little for why they needed it. if they asked for my SSN, I would have a problem with that … 😆
  7. I am not sure with certainty who this falls upon but I would imagine it is the Port of San Francisco. Such a wonderful city but wow, they have mismanaged things for a number of years. I will leave it at that!
  8. So, the last time we saw him, he asked if he could see my phone because he wanted to take a photo of us .. this is what he did … haha!
  9. I love this so much! Our son is really quite the character! Thank you for that …
  10. @Host CJSKIDS .. sorry to hear about the bad weather. But like you, I’d never let that ruin a cruise. If you happen to go by the Take 5 Bar, can you let Amel know his parents in California are sending their love his way? If already asked you to do this, my apologies. I don’t want to make you run around on your vacation.
  11. You may want to upgrade. The theater not only has rehearsals during the day but also shows until 10:30 or so.
  12. That would be him and him alone. I swear, I think he weighs the same as the day we got married. Me? Not so much, as hard as I try!
  13. I could watch those two shows a hundred times each! The production cast on the Discovery last month were absolutely superb!
  14. That’s exactly why they do it! Your bid could be accepted on the day of the cruise due to last minute cancellations.
  15. We have even asked at the casino cage where it is applied. They’ve never even balked at giving it to both of us as long as we are there gambling. If it was $50, they might be a bit more conservative.
  16. So glad to be of help! Now, watch those emails pour in! 🤞
  17. Greta news! It’s odd to see indoor smoking allowed because it is very frowned upon in the SF Bay Area .. well, at least for cigarettes. When we flew to Las Vegas once, the flight attendant said, “welcome to California’s smoking section” when we landed. 😆 She couldn’t have been more right, although, there is no restaurant on the strip that allows smoking as of several years ago. There are places here in California where you aren’t even allowed to smoke in your own multi unit housing. And I don’t really go out to bars, but don’t think it is allowed there either.
  18. We are on the Crown on 2/2 .. is that the one you’re going on? If so, let’s plan on meeting up in the piazza or Vines one day. We are also on the Crown later in February and then a B2B in late April of this year. Hopefully, we see you during one of those sailings, in port or on the ship! 🚢 Until then, happy holidays.
  19. A Move Over offer is where your cruise on which you’ve booked has been oversold and they offer to give you a similar cruise in the same or better category for no charge along with any perks you may have booked on the oversold cruise. What you’ve paid for that original cruise will be offered to you on your new sailing as refundable OBC. They are rare and if you get the offer, it’s imperative you respond by email immediately if your heart isn’t set on that particular cruise and your schedule is flexible. I’ve gotten 3 or 4 of these over the years, mostly when we’ve booked a cheaper cabin. The offers probably go to those paying less first. But, it may just depend on which cabins they really need. In my experience, those offers are snatched up pronto!
  20. Be sure to go into your personalizer on the Princess website and go to My Account, then My Profile, then go to Account/ Contact info. Be sure that your Email contact is checked. It does seem to fall off from time to time.
  21. Mine has done the same thing. I log out and back in the next day and bingo, problem solved. You may just have to fiddle with it in the app a day or so later. The shipping to my home is now complete.
  22. Hi sfpd3000 … I haven’t seen you on these boards recently! Hope all is well. We were actually booked on this sailing but canceled it about 3 months back. We’ve been just spending a couple of months at home on dry land. I miss the Royal class ships here in our home port so have traveled north and south for the Majestic and then, the Discovery. I will be back to the port of SF in February, though. Are you still working at the port of SF?
  23. Two of mine are sold out, as well. One of them, we probably won’t take a move over as it was already obtained through a move over from last year. I doubt if they will offer move over on that one. The other one, we’d be happy to cruise but also be more than happy for a move over offer. We have realized they are pretty much offering the move overs for cheaper rooms first and for those without a package fare next. It seems to increased the odds. Our most recent offer was for an inside cabin. Of course, we took it.
