  1. If two people re booked in the same cabin, the plus or premium fare packages would need to be bought for the two passengers in each cabin, even once onboard. It would be best if you could get the teens in their own room. A CVP (cruise vacation planner) down at Princess or a good TA would be your best bet.
  2. We used ours against a cruise we have booked for late April! The statement credit came through a few days later.
  3. I’m so sorry to hear it is giving you such trouble. Be sure to try to get reservations as soon as you board .. if you can’t, my offer still stands. I will just go twice if you don’t care to take my time slot.
  4. Our accounts are always on different credit cards ever since I traveled solo. It never would allow me to authorize my DH under my credit card on the old app so, we just go to the guest services desk on day 1 and get them combined. It’s a good way to get to know one of the guest services reps anyway .. you know, not going with a complaint but just a simple request. I’m not about to try fixing it so, will just roll with it on the new app as it is working properly for me at this point. And yes, if you can’t see both folios on your journey account, your accounts are not combined.
  5. That 50% off solo supplement perk sounds fantastic! I am, of course, just dreaming but would love that perk to be adopted by Princess.
  6. I do believe mine is showing the green lane and even shows a QR code in the next screen because I am so close to my sail date. That’s pretty much how it worked in the old app as well … at least in the later versions.
  7. I’ve had no issue with booking reservations for that very cruise. Perhaps try booking it in the old app, take a screen so you at least have a reservation. If all fails, we have two reservations for the Catch for 5:20 PM and will give one up if you would like that snag that time frame. BTW, I just checked on the old app and there are a myriad of times available for booking for the Catch. I have an assumption that many of the tables are left open to make onboard. Too many times in the past, large groups have booked up all the tables and those with premier packages couldn’t get a reservation once onboard.
  8. Mine shows we are on the green lane on the first page of the app when it opens.
  9. I just checked on my Majestic cruise for the fall and it is showing the current price for the specialty restaurants, not the $53 and $63 prices.
  10. We rarely go shoreside and when we do, it’s not to shop at Diamonds international.
  11. Oh oh ,.. when and where is your cruise? Just trying to make sense of all of this.
  12. Unfortunately, you probably won’t be able to do so now that final payment has been made.
  13. I saw a few for a decent single supplement but nothing like we saw last back in 2022. let me see if I can attach the file. Solo Offers as of December 4.pdf
  14. I am still not showing the increased price. Btw, I’m in the US, if that makes a difference
  15. I’ve not used it but my neighbor has. Certain stores, shops and restaurants give you the option to pay with your medallion account vs your credit card or cash. My neighbor noted that she got a discount at a restaurant in Cabo for using her medallion to pay for her food .. I think it was 15% off.
  16. I never set it up for onshore and when I installed the original app and all my info transferred to my new app. There’s no indication I need to set it up to use the new app.
  17. I read it would be out of commission in February. Not sure if there is a date planned for February, though. It might depend on how well the new app is working out. People are resistant to change .. so, depending on the number of complaints, they may have to extend it. My guess is that if people give it a chance, they will actually like it.
  18. I should rephrase that .. it’s not really landscape mode but I don’t have to turn my iPad to portrait style to view the app. As for the muster station, go to Journey, Explore the Ship Map and go to Muster Station. I’m really liking this.
  19. We also received the call but not worth it for us as we so very rarely stay in hotels. So, it would only offer us $3100 for $3500 worth of product we’d actually use.
  20. I have actually had the front desk transfer my OBC to my brother and his wife when they cruised with us. I’m not saying I make a habit of this but it is doable.
  21. @HaveDogWillTravel .. great review, as always. I’ve heard the Diamond Strings Duo, as well and agree. They are so very talented and their range of music isn’t what I would expect from violinists. Seeing the whale breaching right off the side of the ship must have been phenomenal. Wow! What a treat!
  22. I have been looking through the new app and am finding many new improvements. First of all, it’s not making me log in every time I check it like it did yesterday. All my bookmarks for my cruise next week as well as my dinner reservations all moved over properly. All of my other information also did so. It’s no longer timing me out. It is showing I’m in the green lane and showing me what package I’ve purchased. I can see what muster station I’m in even before I board the ship. And, I know this is a small thing but you don’t have to turn the screen to portrait to view it anymore. You can use it in portrait mode if you wish, but I mostly use my iPad to check the schedule and such and the old app only allowed the one way view. This new app takes into account that you can use your iPad or your phone and you can view the screen in landscape or portrait. Well done! The new app also puts any dinner reservations you might have onto your JourneyView schedule. I’m not sure if it also adds excursions or spa appointments that have been confirmed but would imagine it does. The new JourneyView screen reads more like the Patter, so it is more easy to read. That was actually fixed earlier this year but I like the format. So far, after it was being a bit fussy yesterday, I now really like it and it seems like it is better than the old app. Most new technology is like that. There are little bugs that oftentimes just resolves themselves with a little bit of patience. The only thing that I think is not an improvement is that it is not showing all the future cruises I have booked. That may come with time. I logged in with using my user name and password vs using my booking number so, would like to see that happen with any updates. I didn’t look closely into Explore my Ship but would like to see all ships in the fleet available in the new app, whether I’m at home or onboard. I like this feature when I’m in the future cruise offices to pick out a cabin. I will poke around a bit more and see if I can find this.
  23. Are you sure that’s per per day? If so, not a deal. But if it’s only $90 per person, I’d jump on that offer. You’re already way up front, might as well go for the better cabin.
  24. We also went to the Super Tuscan dinner on the Royal earlier this year and some friends went last year, as well. It was $45 pp, I believe. I hadn’t heard they were serving it as a lunch but that would be welcomed as it was too much food to eat so late at night.
  25. I think I probably mistook the carb for shrimp! Good catch!
