  1. I've worn prescription glasses for years. I've had to take them off at different times for different photos. It doesn't really bother me. Takes seconds to do so I'm ok with it at this point. I will be submitting a photo next week for my next cruise.
  2. Interesting. I was posting about the topic that was being discussed. My response to that topic remains the same. Thanks, and enjoy your weekend.
  3. I certainly enjoy sailing on MSC. I always find food to wat. Dining room food is fine. In my last MSC cruise, I shook my head wondering what people were complaining about when it came to the Main dining rooms. I sail on MSC to relax. So, I dont really need to be running around for entertainment options. But, I've never been bored. If the price is right, I sail.
  4. Thanks. Yes, I saw one shirt on Amazon that says Symphony, but it is certainly not one that we would buy. I'm hoping to find more than one option. Thanks
  5. Hello All, my first question has a duplicate post for some reason. My second questions is where can I order Symphony or Royal Caribbean clothing before the cruise? I looked online and there isn't much selection. A first time cruises is going with me on the Symphony in December. I would like to get them a shirt or something else prior to the cruise starting so I can give it as a gift in advance. Any suggestions based on success with ordering them online before cruise? Thanks so much!
  6. Anyone have pictures of the Room Service menu on the Symphony? That would be really helpful. Thanks so much!
  7. OmG! How many people are in that cabin for that price?
  8. That's one reason I usually book closer to sail date. I know many folks on here talk about booking early for best deals and cabin options, but with my flexibility, I have been happy with last minute booking benefits. Works for me.
  9. True. Encore has limited open, outdoor deck space. I was really disappointed saling on the Encore earlier this year. That ship is off my list.
  10. Wow! Please tell me more about this strategy. When did you last have success with this strategy? Which ship were you on? What per person price did you pay? Thanks so much!
  11. I will gladly report anyone I see and smell using it. Cant stand the smell and it's just rude to he using it out there like that. I've reported folks at hotels and will gladly report folks on a ship. I dont get into debates with people about it. I just report them.
  12. You were sick on Day 1 of your cruise and in quarantine by that evening. Sounds like you arrived to your cruise already with COVID, your symptoms worsened that day, and it spread to your family while on the cruise. Wow. Talk about bad timing.
  13. Yes, I had similar thoughts that Black Friday this year might not be all that exciting since demand is pretty high and some people are actually paying the higher prices. The prices earlier this year for sailings earlier this year and the add on items were nice. But, since folks are back and excited to cruise, not so much. My early December cruise has some ugly prices for the add on items. ๐Ÿ™ its before the holidays so it's not due to the holidays either. I often sail that same week and get better prices. Oh well. I'm still hopeful and will check for any BF deals.
  14. Good luck to the OP. On what specific date does the Black Friday sale start? I know it can vary by retailer, so I want to make sure I know when to check for what Royal has to offer? Thanks
  15. Hello, are you able to see if any other ships will be there Friday, December 16 with the Symphony? Update; I used the links and figured it out. Symphony and Jewell with Symphony arriving first. Thanks. The links were easy to use. Thanks.
  16. Oh, thats an interesting situation with Costco. I'm never booked with them so I dont know how that all works. Perhaps if you book another cruise in the future, there is a website that I dont think I am allowed to name here, but it allows you to look up an entire list of sailings for the June and July dates that you can travel for any cruise line that you are interested in and destination or itinerary you like and you can filter by solo and it will show you the single occupancy rate or percentage so you can see if any cruise lines offer a lower single supplement on sailings of your interest in the timeframe that you want. I have used that site as just a first step when looking for solo cabins. Then I check the cruise line's website to confirm the total price and then contact the cruise line directly to book. I also usually have more options if I dont book as far out. The single supplement deals usually pop up closer to sail dates. Just sharing an option for in the future, if that's applicable Good luck ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ›ณ
  17. Yes, I love balcony cabins for the same reason. Was your balcony bigger than a regular size balcony?
  18. I've been assigned a cabin within one week of sailing. (I've also booked a cruise within one week of sailing, lol.) Not knowing my guarantee cabin assignment far in advance really did not bother me. I paid to be on the ship so I knew I would be on the ship. I was happy to be sailing so I did not worry about it. I've booked guarantees many times in past years. Some times I got great locations and sometimes I got ok locations. It was always ok with me for the money paid. I also book and select my cabins sometimes. There are reasons for both choices. With either choice, I just do my research and then I try not to stress too much. Its vacation. Good luck.
  19. Hello All, are there any updates on how things are going and any changes?
  20. Cool. Other than the laundry, what made it worth the extra $300 for you two? Thanks
  21. Ok. Looks amazing. Unfortunately that's out of my price range right now. Maybe one day. ๐Ÿ™‚
