  1. Love that balcony. What kind of cabin is that? Thanks!
  2. Yep, the October 7 date was an error. Sounds like somewhere in the system The correct date was being activated which caused the cancellation to occur. I guess no one wanted to say that aloud since it seems confusing that the error would happen. Sounds frustrating for sure. Not sure I would stop sailing Royal in this situation since the on ship experience and staff is separate from staff that are part of this process. But, it's your choice of course. Good luck.
  3. Not to me. As shared by others, NCL has better options for sure. MSC does as well. I do not waste my money on it on Royal ships. There isn't enough variety and they are tiny.
  4. I think they said they are sailing on the Symphony. Just a FYi
  5. Hello from a fellow solo cruiser. You did not mention how many days this sailing is, but from a person that has sailed solo in a balcony ocean view cabin, that price seems a bit high to me (including pre-Covid pricing). Maybe it's because its June so you're sailing during summer vacation time or maybe its longer than a 7 day cruise, but I just wanted to share that perhaps if you have any flexibility you can find a better price than all those options you posted for that sailing. I understand that you may have been told that you may be paying thr price for 2 passengers although you are sailing solo. As a solo cruiser, I have usually been able to not pay a full supplement if I work on the timing of the sailing or the timing of when I'm booking a sailing. You mentioned that you last sailed 10 years ago so I just wanted to share that info just in case It might be helpful and you have any flexibility. If the itinerary was simply amazing and I had to book that date right now, maybe I would book it, but if not, no. I would not accept those prices. Also if it's a longer cruise, than maybe that's why it's that cost. good luck.
  6. Man, sounds frustrating. But, that oct 7 date sounds interesting also.
  7. What are the theme nights that some people dress up for on this cruise? Luke 70s night or white night. Thanks
  8. When you say the Windjammer on the Oasis does not look like this, what do you mean? How is it different? Thanks so much for all that you are sharing!
  9. My family in Central Florida came up to northern Georgia on Monday to get ahead of the existing traffic a d to not be in Florida during the storm. They retired last year so this is their first hurricane season in Florida.
  10. Do you know how long he will be on Symphony? Wondering if he will be there in December when we sail. Thx
  11. Hmmm... That little list of just 6 categories is very limiting. It also seems a little more male focused versus gender equal. I'm sure many women wear shorts and tshirts, but on.Caribbean cruises I often wear little simple summer dresses during the day. Not dinner dresses, but simple stuff for sightseeing in ports and hanging out on the ship during the day. Smh looking at that form. I've done the bag of laundry service on a different line and put a nice mix of stuff in the bags. No issues or extra charges.
  12. You're staying in your same cabin? I've done B2Bs but not usually the same ship or even cruise line sometimes. I like mixing it up to compare. Next year I might be doing my first B2B on the same ship but totally different itineraries. Excited
  13. Thank you. Maybe next week will be more eventful.

  15. Oh no. I would have been on the edge of my seat during all those falls. And feeling bad for them. I hope everyone gets some rest tonight and feels better tomorrow.
  16. Anyone heard any updates on how the drydock process is going? I know it's still early. So, just curious.
  17. I dont know ifit's just me, but I get nervous during the ice show. I never want anyone to fall. I get anxious that Someone is going to fall. They are all great, but I guess falls in a show are inevitable.
  18. Oh no, going on a British Isles cruise is what I had planned before the pandemic and everything shut down. I really want to revive that plan. I did look for other dates for that itinerary, but could not find one sooner that is really similar. So, I'm still torn.
  19. I'm working on a similar plan, but with a combo of Royal and NCl cruises in June and July. But, I'm debating if being on a ship for nearly 6 weeks is a good fit for me. I've done land stays for around 3+ weeks and was fine. But, not sure about 6 weeks on a ship. I'm debating just doing the 12 day Norway on Jewel out of Amsterdam in June, fly home to Southern USA for around 10 days, and then fly back into London to do the 15 day British Isles on NCL. The in between cruise would be Iceland and Ireland still on Jewel. That cruise looks ok, but its not having me jump up and down about just having to do it. It would basically allow me to not have to waste money and flights going back and forth between cruises,.but, maybe that's just me being naive about that itinerary. I dont like being wasteful about time or money. I think flying home is not the best option, but neither is going on a cruise that I just kind of like. But, again, maybe I just need to do more research on that itinerary. I really wanted to go on the Norway and British Isles itineraries so I did a lot more research for those ports than Iceland. Also, where is all this money coming from, hahhaha. And time off from work, hahhaha. It's agreat dream though 🙂
