  1. Yep. That's a great word for it. I'm trying to help an aunt plan a family cruise. I've cruised a lot more than everyone that wants to go. I'm looking at the prices saying, omg, I wouldn't even pay that for some of these itineraries so I certainly don't want to ask a whole family group to have to pay that price. I just sailed on Celebrity Ascent for less than some of these Royal ship prices. They are too inflated.
  2. Oh, I'm considering trying Utopia out of PC. I'm not familiar with the phrase you posted above. What does that mean? Whatever it means, do you think sailing on the Utopia will be like that also. I too, only like 7+ day sailings, but that's not an option for the start of Utopia. Thanks
  3. Great. Now the question is just pricing which is still high for the Wonder. Thanks
  4. Does anyone know what the itinerary for the May 18, June 15, June 29, etc dates will be? I can see some of it, but the side of the pic cuts off. I'm wondering if it's the same 4 port sailing that includes Cozumel, Costa Maya, Honduras, and Coco Cay that Wonder is doing in the spring. Thanks
  5. And a lot if revenue for them. Those short sailings on Utopia are priced pretty hefty. (Yes, I know it's a new ship.) I want to try Utopia but man, just 4 days seems like such a waste for that type of ship. I know folks say we can just book a B2B, but those sailings are so overpriced. So, I would be booking two overpriced short sailings just to get what should be one sailing anyway on an Oasis class ship. My thought is that they could let the older Oasis class ships change to short cruises and let the newer ships keep longer itineraries. Oh well. I know that has already been discussed on this site so I don't want to sidetrack my own thread. My goal for this thread is to figure out when we can book the Wonder for a 7 night cruise for a family cruise in 2025. Looks like we should do that in June as soon as all the kids in the family finish school.
  6. Wonderful, thank you so much. I am looking at thr June dates. Oddly, there is a 7 day sailing on June 18 and a 7 day sailing on June 22. That math does not add up. They have two different itineraries, but the number of days between those dates isn't 7, hmmm. Am I reading those dates wrong? Also, wish I could see more of thr itinerary information. Thanks so much for posting! I appreciate your help.
  7. Oh no, the Wonder will be doing 3 and 4 night cruises like the Utopia? Oh no. We are trying to plan a 7 night family cruise on the Wonder out of Florida in either June 2025 or during the holiday season of 2025.
  8. I am helping an aunt plan a family cruise for 2025. We are looking at Oasis class ships. I have been able to find some sailings for Oasis and for Symphony, but we're not able to find sailings for Wonder of the Seas for the latter part of 2025. I did see the Wonder sailings up through late spring, but not the summer yet. A lot of you folks are in the know about these kinds of things. 😉 When do you think the latter half of 2025 will be released for Wonder? Does anyone have any idea where she might be sailing during the summer or during the 2025 holiday season? It would work best for us if she is still sailing out of Florida. But I see that Royal has been moving their ships around to other departure points like the Symphony out of New Jersey and other ships out of Texas. She wants to book June, Thanksgiving, or Christmas 2025 on the Wonder. Thanks so much!
  9. I was on the same sailing. Just got home today. Wishing I was still on that awesome ship.
  10. I am on Ascent now. We did bring a few bottles of water in our carry on. We departed the Ft. Lauderdale cruise port. There was not any issue taking it on.
  11. Thanks. I attended and it was nice. Thanks
  12. Hello, how was Coral Beach? Do you recommend it more than Public Beach?
  13. I'm currently on Ascent now as well. Awesome ship. No significant noises. In an SV. A bit of rocking earlier in the cruise so I got a bit concerned about noise at night (based on comments here). Luckily for us, no noise issues at night so far. Today is smoother sailing so far. Looking forward to a great day at sea to explore the ship more.
  14. Oh, I was looking forward to this option u til this price was posted. No thank you.
  15. Same question. Any8ne do this recently? You can also call Blue Lagoon directly. Thier number is on their website.
  16. Wow, a morning welcome party. Is that a norm?
  17. Man, an extra $800 per day is just mind boggling to me. I would definitley nit pay that either. I'm with you on that. Just a waste of money.
  18. I hope that the Awaken show returns this week. On the prior cruise, they said it as canceled due to technical issues. I hope those are fixed so you can enjoy the shoe this week.
  19. Oh, I was saying that prior to the fee, we would see folks ordering a lot and not eating it. So, high amounts of food waste. The amount of ordering and plates left with lots of uneaten food seems to have declined since then as some folks refuse to pay a fee for ordering so they don't order. But, yes, I get it. If you do order and pay the fee, some folks will choose to order a lot since they had to pay a fee. Similar to what some cruise lines reported about midnight buffets. Lots of food waste. Thanks
  20. I think we were in the minority that thought that it was fine to add some type of fee for room service so that folks would stop being so wasteful with ordering so much food and then not eating it. The amount of food we used to see on plates in halls was crazy. I'm not a fan of a high fee, but just something that would reduce thoughtless ordering just because it was at no extra cost. Now, we are in the camp with folks that are saying hey, that's enough raising of prices overall (on everything), hahahaha.
