  1. Yes, you can actually order them on the app in the Preferences section.
  2. Yes, I saw that last week, but thanks for pointing it out for folks who may not have read it.
  3. We’re Elite+ on Celebrity, so we’ll stay with them. 3 Star on HAL, which will give us a backup. So sad about Princess.
  4. After reading all these comments I’m starting to regret booking our upcoming cruise. We had a lot of FCCs to use, so I hate to lose them, but it seems that just about everyone has such negative comments lately.
  5. Thanks for your review. I also find Celebrity buffets to be far superior to Princess. There is a big difference in price, so I understand why Princess just can’t provide the same quality. I am surprised at the service you encountered. Princess usually has exemplary service on all ships, one of their best attributes. I had a bad feeling that these silly premium desserts would cause northing but frustration for passengers and staff. A very poorly thought out decision by Princess.
  6. Celebrity wins hands down for us. We have a Princess cruise in September for the British Isles to use up FCC and then we’re done. Number one is that smoking is allowed in the casino and the smoke drifts into other areas. They also have an indoor smoking lounge and every time the door opens the smoke hits you in the face. It disgusting. Food is now mediocre since the lockdown. The buffet is terrible. The staterooms are small with tiny bathrooms and tiny shower stalls with a tacky shower curtain. You have to upgrade to a mini suite or suite to get a sofa and chair, otherwise you drink or eat on the bed or at the desk. Balconies are very small, unless Caribe deck on Grand class. You have to sit sideways to stretch your legs out. Oversized balconies are few, especially on Royal class. Yes, Princess is less expensive and there’s a reason for that.
  7. We typically don’t do buffets very often. When we did, specifically on Edge class, I didn’t see too much difference. You should ask on the Celebrity boards as lots of Celebrity sailors talk about the buffets.
  8. All excellent ideas and I’m 100% in agreement. However, have you not just described Celebrity, Virgin, Azamara, Oceania and others? Why even wait for Princess to implement changes when it’s already available elsewhere. If I were President of Princess I would probably just throw in the towel.
  9. Mediterranean on Koningsdam 2018. First time in Tuscany and we went to a vineyard. The views were spectacular and I wept with joy. We’ve done 40+ cruises on many different lines, but this one stays in my heart.
  10. Change the smoking policy to no indoor smoking and only allowed in designated outdoor areas. All of the other changes I’d make would be major structural issues so we’d need to start from scratch.
  11. We’re on Rotterdam TA in the fall. We also love Pinnacle class on HAL. Princess has become Princess Walmart, so we’re done with them.
  12. Celebrity’s Edge class is really outstanding. Love Apex and Beyond. We’ve already booked Ascent for 2024. You will love it! Beautiful and extremely innovative, great food and entertainment. Very different experience than HAL or Princess.
  13. My DH and I eat fish and seafood now but for years we were strict vegetarians. CG was extremely difficult back then and not worth the up-charge, but it’s nice now because their fish and seafood is lovely. I would recommend Sabatini’s, as there many more options to choose from.
  14. We’re booked on Rotterdam TA. Love the Pinnacle class ships. We have one Princess cruise booked for September to use up FCC and that will be it for us. Princess is so far from what it used to be. HAL has been pretty consistent with its product and I love certain features like the Crow’s Nest. Prefer HAL food and we really enjoy the Music Walk. To each their own, right!
  15. A little more info would help. Who is her/she? Who booked the cruise and in whose name. Is she the primary guest or travel companion? When is your cruise?
  16. If you take a look at @wowzzon Sky Princess newest thread he mentions in post #134 that the Captain was discussing Sea Princess. Either it’s a typo or that’s the new name
  17. I think it will be Sea Princess
  18. Yes! Or “dress” shorts! You really just have to smile.
  19. From your lips to “other people’s ears”. Respect is the word of the day.
  20. How terribly disappointing for you! We would have done the same, I’m sure. It seems that Princess is consistently short staffed on a few ships. Next up for us is Regal out of Southampton and we’re getting a tad concerned.
  21. Both of your outfits, as you’ve described, are just perfect! You DH sounds like a very respectful and mannered gentleman. And, you will be lovely in your LBD. Enjoy your cruise!
  22. Who said you had to wear a tux? Just one pair of decent long pants and a collared shirt. Is that so hard to do? Leave the shorts in the cabin for only 1 hour while you eat in the MDR. Please.
