  1. Be aware that bogo might only be able to be used night 1 and night 2 as it is written and intended. Though yes I see some managed ex options. I actually prebooked izumi night 2 and wanted to use bogo and he moved it to another night and said I'd be charged for izumi full price come on in night 1. I'm solo so it had to be 2 nights in a row. A couple can share it, as a solo its 2 nights. Allure said ONLY night 1 and 2. I said but I dont want izumi that I I prebooked right again again and took a lot of back and forth but he finally cancelled it and refunded my cheaper prebooked. I was on the following week and knew so I just cancelled my prebooked night 2 myself. They werent having that as a bogo, no way, no how. Might have worked with jimbo but even has said not without pushing it. I have 3 weeks on harmony coming up and something prebooked each week. Not sure if anyone has recent experience on harmony? I'm considering just cancelling what's prebooked and letting them just charge full price onboard. Not going to even try jimbos way. At least cancel week 1 and see before I cancel week 2 and 3 prebooked.
  2. I agree I think this should have been said when people booked. Carnival reps cant answer me when i asked if i could add someone who didnt have a passport. I wrote to guest services. They should be able to answer this question correctly. It's not like Panama changed. Or Costa Rica and Columbia. Someone on my roll call said well they had a friend who did a similar cruise and it wasnt enforced to board before. They should give refunds if people request them for not being told at the time of booking. No excuses. .. and having a meeting yesterday to discuss passports .. at this late stage? Rcl did the same thing, not excusing them either.
  3. Defuse a TA? I agree no way would I not use one for this many people. Group rates are refundable and I can guarantee someone will need to cancel and let the TA deal it. Dont have people mad at you.
  4. Actually I cant show times, just my times which I chokse around 730 or 8 pm. Some nights are more than 1 show time choice. I just went in to see times and it said I am limited to one reservation so it wouldnt show me other times. I can show you the days when you can book, that still shows. Like comedy looks like 5 nights Grease says only 2 night surprisingly. Usually it's also a afternoon on the last sea day. You can see on this which days its offered like day 1, day 2 etc. On each show. Nov 26 harmony.
  5. Glad to hear they fixed it. Customer service just makes up answers when they dont know. Many call until they get a answer that makes sense. Has happened to me, like being told a excursion price didnt go down, its tax. There is no tax on excursions. They make up answers too often.
  6. And again I wouldnt have believed that answer. Makes no sense. I would hang up and call again.
  7. I have little sympathy tbh. If google says entering Panama on a cruise a passport is required, and someone posted this information and they believed other posters about closed loop cruises not required .. and didnt bother to get it in writing from carnival after being told in writing a passport is required to cruise and enter Panama.. Sometimes that odd man out posting knows. Get it in writing if you think carnival is different than other cruiselines in Panama entry requirements. We skipped costa Rica when I went on radiance OTS in april .. so it's a new port to me. It also does say required. We also have had 10 or more threads if porting in colon Panama means we do a partial transit. I've steadfastly said it means no we do not. Oh guess who was right. When you think you know more than others ... sometimes you find yourself in trouble. A simple google search could have saved a lot of people all upset right now on my roll call. Not a pass card ... a passport only. I'm sure I'm going to be attacked for saying I posted this info months ago and wrote to carnival customer service. .. just left reading my roll call and those upset. I went thru this just last april.
  8. I'm on the partial that stops in colon Panama, and costa rica and Columbia. Months ago I posted that google says a passport is required to enter Panama. Not a single poster didnt argue with me. I said royal also told us late. I googled where google says air, train or cruise entering panama a passport is required. Again people said that was murky or it's a round trip from Galveston. I wrote to carnival customer service and said I'd like to add a 2nd pax as this is a extra special sailing. ..crickets . Customer service didnt say yes or no. Finally I read just yesterday there was a meeting to discuss this and john heald posted that a passport is required. It's not required for those who dont port in colon just do a partial sailing thru the waters possibly but if you are stopping at colon Panama google says clearly a passport is required. Those arguing with me now are all surprised and upset. It's not, like this wasn't discussed many time since we booked. I said in fact in Columbia at the meeting place for my excursions for Columbia they made me go to my cabin to either get my passport or take a screen shot off the ship with us. This was royal true, and carnival posters just kept insisting carnival had their own rules. Oh surprise ... john heald posted a passport is required. Our final final due oct 13th. I'm on the Galveston 14 day journey cruise. I'll bet some cabins open up suddenly on this cruise sold out since last April. .... if anyone wants to go. When you assume google isnt clear when it even said entering on a cruise a passport required ... and that my april cruise to colon was just royal. I see my roll call suddenly upset. Well I posted multiple times and copied and pasted google saying required. Of course when I say required and 50 post I'm wrong, who are they going to believe? A simple google search .. I dont see what I quoted on my posts and to carnival customer service ..but Do You Need a Passport to Go to Panama? Getting to Panama, unpacking, and spending your days by the beach feels relaxing. But do you need a passport to access this bliss? Yes! All U.S. citizens traveling to Panama must have passports that meet the following Panama entry requirements for U.S. citizens: Costa Rica has always required a passport for cruise ship passengers. So does Colombia. I could go on. Nothing says its not required. We visit all 3 ports.
  9. Ok thanks, I'm on 3 weeks and will book timeline another week. I booked the other 3.
  10. So tba tba on their names and that didnt set off alarm bells on the original booking. I would have called asap but that's me. Not sammy if you let it go. Cant blame someone else. Good luck fixing it now. Ask to have it escalated. Maybe wrote mbayley@rccl.com and explain to him you are a newbie and TBA tba on names didnt set off alarm bells, you didnt know.
  11. I would stress 2 different ships from 2 different ports. I would worry about fog and other things delaying getting off and driving from tampa to PC. Same day. .. and I love a corner aft. We were 2 hours late sept 24, boarding arm broke and had to be replaced. Then 2 stowaways had to be found. Allure Carnival breeze we had to stop the night before to rescue 2 fisherman and a dog. We were closest to them and required by law to stop and rescue them. Their boat overturned. We didnt dock until 10 am. Nothing like a loudspeaker announcement at 3 am explaining and waking us up. I dont want stress when I cruise. Same ship b2b for me.
  12. I just booked shows for harmony yesterday morning for nov 26. I booked 3 not all 5. One is called timeline. Has anyone seen timeline and was it worth seeing. Timeline of what. Also skipped the comedy show. Allure was only mens sexual humor, not a word about women. Only about mens parts. I would have liked more about both sexes, not just a mens thing. But I wondered about the show timeline? Here are the other 3.
  13. And per a memo from the bean counters has to be night 1 and 2. Allure is enforcing this. Other ships are still saying if you pay by night 1 or 2 they allow exceptions to eat later in the week.
  14. Harmony in january cozumel Costa maya and roatan. Every cruise that month.
  15. ATTN: @c-legsidk if this is the information you asked for about the 2nd pool area in the costa maya port. Tbh I got sick and didnt take pictures. And it rained. I tried to find my thread but it's too far back. Maya, Lost Mayan Kingdom lost the original post that said it can be booked for $115. Is this the new area in the port? Rcl is having trouble getting it up and bookable in the excursions for our cruises but can be booked thru googling it. Surprise if this is it as I'm guessing people assumed it would be a free pool area. I could be wrong where its located though it does say port of costa maya. Sorry posting so late but I didn't forget.
  16. Wasnt me but on grandeur another gal all her shower stuff disappeared. She bought a lot of fancy stuff I guess .. didnt even change cabins but her shower gels and what not were gone when she came back. Now I put things together so it's clear it stays.
  17. Is the 2nd leg refundable or non? If non and before final for $100 can reschedule. Hopefully its refundable deposit.
  18. The one in the dispenser is all in 1. The upgraded is 4 invidivudal tubes. I personally dont mix my shampoo and conditioner ahead of time. Dont know if I have a picture of the 4 tubes handy, but I sure wouldnt say the same all in 1 as individual shampoo and condition and body wash and lotion. I usually ask for a 2nd bar of soap. I want one in the shower and one at the sink. I'm solo so maybe they cut to 1 bar because of that.
  19. Actually the big wigs are talking about combining celebrity and royal loyalty programs. I hope they dont touch it until I hit pinnacle on royal. .. but there are threads discussing this in the last 2 weeks on cc. You can match up to diamond coming from celebrity, agree not the top tiers. I matched elite on celebrity.
  20. 1 bar of soap and a all in one body cleanser, shampoo and conditioner in the shower. At 340 loyalty pts you get upgraded toiletries or a suite, but not a balcony.
  21. The D+ letter that used to be waiting in your cabin was discontinued they said on allure. Just the generic folded paper that has all the same benefits printed as online. They saved that piece of paper. It used to say specifically what restaurants were excluded on that particular ship, like grandeur excluded hibachi and izumi from bogo but others allow izumi. .. poof.
  22. We had some kind of online class group and a religious group both. The class folks said the religious group was singing and making it hard to study, they were really loud. I stayed away and neither bothered me, though the book selection in the library was more religion than usual.
  23. Obc can be used for anything that can be bought in your planner or onboard. Yes I use mine toward my tips and anything left over toward prepuchased excursions or dinners. Ignore what it says, it's used for anything that is charged. When you go to purchase there is a place for a credit card or for obc. Type in the amount of obc you want to use.
  24. I'm on harmony b2b2b and plan on doing izumi night 1 bogo and night 2 150. Izumi is cheaper, so I'd rather pay for izumi than 150. Going to give the lobster thermidor another try. Sure loved the pull apart buttery garlicky bread. Havent yet found a preferred dessert at 150. .. but I'd pick 150 just for the service and food seems to be more what I ordered without mistakes. .. and I like lobster.
