Lol that's pretty much exactly what I did. Well one store, and liked what they have. There is only 1 working elevator. The movers will want a big tip and if I was them I wouldnt be happy but it is what itmis. I think the 12th business day is next Wednesday so they should be there no latter than then. I stopped at a mattress store that sells everything. Beds they can deliver today even but I already paid for 3 nights starting tonight. The refund thing requires 24 hours notice so I just said bring it Friday. I bought saucepan, there is no built in microwave but a sauce pan can warm up anything for a couple of days. In fact I bought 2 beds the same mattress. The one for me I got what he says is walnut. My triple dresser is actually mahogany and looks like a close enough match to me. And got a remote for mine that raises the feet and head to watch tv in bed. And bedding and pillows and all that other stuff. Too bad I already paid for 3 more nights, I'd been doing 1 or 2 nights, this time I guess I was depressed how long and booked 3 more nights, so il, just stay until friday and the salesman said he will bring up both beds and set them up. The 2nd bed he said he would throw in a wooden bed frame black or white he had there in stock. I cant wait for my new bed. He has living room furniture but I'm at a loss looking at a bunch of catalogues what to get. Several pieces, how to arrange them, pictures I cant picture what I want, comfortable. I'm excited to have a new bed. I picked nice and soft. I like a soft bed, softer than what rcl has. Idk if I needed the motor or not and the cherry headboard was also extra. Just driving by and saw the sign and pulled in and really liked their beds. Wish I'd thought of it sooner, but sometimes things happen when they should. All my kitchen stuff is on the moving truck, so I bought a sauce pan. I got chicken tenders at publix thenother day, gives me something to warm them up in on the stove and get by a few days if the truck is still delayed. Yipee. I cant wait for new beds. I left a phone message for ray, the guy I'm supposed to tell to pad the elevator. Just my bad luck they started to take apart the elevators just last Wednesday. I just checked back in here same hotel, 3rd check. 2 days, 2 days, now 3 days until friday. I still wouldnt have furniture except the beach chair in the picture above. Bob's bed he wrote about sounded perfect. So I got the whole works. I dont know if i really want a remote controlled bed, but why not. Saw what i liked and said YES. Tbh I'll probably toss out my sofa and chair they moved. I want something that looks classier. That was supposed to be temporary while i was there taking care of my parents, not meant forever. I want this place to look classier. The cherry looks dark to me, very close to the color of my triple dresser. I really think it's too late to get a hotel refund, so I just said being it friday and I'll, leave the hotel that morning.. he said probably between noon and 2 pm. I can eat out a lot too, I wouldnt starve if my kitchen stuff takes a few extra days but by my count by next week Wednesday that's 12 business days. Finally something really good happened. My realtor and Bob above were smart to plan a bed ahead of time. But i wouldn't have known to call a certain person 24 hours ahead to pad the elevator. I cant say I shopped around, just liked what I saw. Finally something really good.

Usually analysts targets do move the price, however the targets are meant to be 12 month targets. Though people hear a higher target and traders pile in. I'm kicking myself, I had 300 shares and sold and only holding 100 shares now. Wish I'd sold something other than rcl. I'm moving and bought a condo. I knew analysts kept raising their targets, and prices were up, but also I dont see the huge price Increases on rcl cruises we were seeing say 6 months ago, earnings were up 40% year over year beginning of this year, that has to slow down even if prices stay this high, growth of earnings year over year will slow by next year imo. It was time to get the move to a port city behind me. Get on with my life. I do admit I trade in and out of rcl, just this time I'm short of cash until my house sells. No sense beating myself up. Should have sold some exxon or chevron, oil instead. Usually I'm right on top of watching rcl trade and how it moves, but I've been on the move now the last week. Glad to hear rcl doing well. Today I'm relaxing and catching up with the market. I still predict earnings growth will slow, though several new ships are coming in which certainly will help with higher earnings, more berths to fill and new ships higher prices. I'm still a rcl bull. I've sure missed all the economic news. I've said since last year those predicting a bunch of rate hikes was all political talk. If the govt spending isnt slowing inflation isnt dropping to 2%. Econ 101 if the govt is printing and spending money, it causes inflation. Now they are hoping for 1 cut, down from 6 predicted late last year. People need to use common sense. I dont see a end to either war we are spending on, hence govt isnt cutting. Then jan and feb ppi and cpi didnt show a drop in inflation and for reasons I dont understand were surprised. If I knew they knew and just hoping and wishing. Go rcl. Glad to see the market again today.

Agree with biker. I heard celebrity used to do that with cabin mates, never heard of it with roya and I've done royal about 20 years. Marry him or her only way if they are adults or have them move in and declare them to be your significant other. They cant say married any more, since not all states allow same sex marriage perhaps, Idk really, but it's never been a thing just because they share your cabin on royal. Pre covid I think maybe you were allowed a guest to such as top tier event, but havent heard that since covid.

I'm a worrier perhaps? Like a lot of these mattress places are online. If they delivered it downstairs idk I could get a full mattress up 8 floors to my place. I keep thinking thru this move I wish right now I was married and have a 2nd set of hands. And then add in the guy who has to pad the one working elevator. What bad luck the day I arrived 1 of the 2 elevators was removed to just a hole in the ground. Wait until the movers find out a large 8 story high rise only has one slow working elevator. No guesses when it will be replaced, but when its replaced, then the one woeking elevator will be replaced so this will go on for a while. I need to find a place that delivers all the way to my bedroom! I sure was stupid and or naive when planning this move. My house sale is currently set for by ju e 15.. my buyer called sunday to tell me the next door neighbors tree fell and smashed the fence between us. I said the contract clearly says AS IS. Your problem, go talk to the next door neighbor yoursel. It's his tree. My broker in dallas just emailed and said the weather is still bad and another storm, which isnt helping get my stuff transferred to a bigger truck and on it's way. I guess I'm naive but truly I am surprised that a moving coordinator cant tell me where the truck with my stuff is. This 24 to 48 hours notice is baloney to me. I've moved across town but never had movers move me across the country. Too late to do it differently. Clearly I'm not smart how I did this move. Should have thrown out a lot of stuff,not paid whatever the price is. When he was figuring the extra cost he kept quoting me things like 60 cents a cubic foot. Not dollars. I kept saying so how much is that extra in dollars... over $1500??!! Omg. He kept wanting to tell me cubic feet and I wanted dollars. Well nothing else I can do except shop lol. Spectrum done, so now I'm free until the truck comes. Shower and then ill google furniture stores. I saw above a suggestion for measuring room sizes. To me they all look huge. I brought a flashlight but not my measuring thing... and I have several.,movers have all that. Cheap to buy another I know. I've seen both a lowes and a home depot between me and publix. I've had huge old historic houses, but these 2 are my first condos. And much newer and huge closets.. im so loving these big closets and so many. Shopping isnt the worst thing to have left to do. Didnt occur to me to pack more clothes. All is good here.

I have seen posts where there seem to be IT issues and it says money is owed. I blame royal IT. Sometimes you might cancel a pay restaurant and then it takes money from your reservation, not your dining. IT is glitchy imo.

I talked to my realtor today whom imo is top notch or I woukdnt have trusted him to help me buy a sight u seen condo. He had a good suggestion, though maybe kinda late to do much good. When we first priced out the move a dedicated truck was $1500 extra. Of course optimistic me assumed the truck would be soon behind me, I didnt know a tornado coming and they couldnt transfer my stuff to a shared truck. And somehow I didnt hear the up to 12 BUSINESS days it might take. You all know what hotels on friday and saturday night cost near cocoa beach. He said I should look around for a bed at least, if not a whole bedroom set. I planned to actually buy 2 more bedroom sets. I see all these commercials for purple and other mattresses. The day I was leaving my bil offered his purple mattress to me free, just as I was leaving. Lol of course. But for up to 3 weeks in a hotel it could have gone a long way toward buying a bedroom set, though I'm still not even sure what kind of mattress I might want. This one is orgwnic or that one etc. I just had no idea I'd still be in a hotel maybe even next week. I could sleep there if I had a bed. I got a quilt and 2 pillows with me in the car I brought. Plus a few throws. Maybe a nice bedroom set $1500 isn't a drop in the bucket. I see commercials in Dallas all the time for Nebraska something or other, dont see any furniture sales on tv here so far. I called slecturm and said ok I'll pay for you to install. That poor guy today spent a hour. He looked in every closet and place he could tho I of o wires. The ain bedroom tv connection is dead. He finally hooked it up wifi. Got my newish samsung in the living room and for unknown reasons put the router in the corner of the 3rd bedroom to have something to connect to that was live. I hadnt planned on looking for new furniture this soon but that money could go a ways I assume toward a new mattress. Maybe beds cost a lot more than I know. Lol seems like everything costs a lot more than I expect. I dont even know what stores, google seems like a good place to start tomorrow and at least look and get a idea. Idk if there is such a thing as tok many ceiling fans, but I'm pretty sure this is a record. Every room has the, 2 on the balcony. My master closet and master both have ceiling fans and right behind the master walk in closet there is like a 10 ft long linen closet and tub and separate show, small area, that even has a ceiling fan. I havent counted them but this seems a lot. Closets and bathrooms idk have separate ceiling fans. But I extended my hotel stay until friday. Just doing a few days at a time. Says refundable but then says I have to cancel by midnight 24 hours in advance. Anyway the spectrummguy said no way this wifi and tv could have been self install if you arent technical so it's good I scheduled someone to come and install. My one little sling chair I bought yesterday, and water looks blue today. Yes this ceiling fan is in a closet with 5 feet behind where the toilet is another tiny ceiling fan. Seems unusual to me but what do I know.. to borrow I guess I'll goggle for stores that sell bedroom for future. I actually also want new larger living room furniture. Time to enjoy more. I saw some football games at night where they do the dive show. If no dive show they were showing sports. I got sick and stayed in my boardwalk cabin a lot ... heard the games play by play. I'd look around might be shown somewhere.

I just paid a ridiculous price at target for a tiny sling chair. At least it folds it. I didnt see a brand, just said sling chair. I sat in it and seems ok, though it's very small. I will look around more later, but I made a appointment for spectrum to come out and install 2 small tvs and wifi at 10 am so I plan to be there by 9 am and obviously am not standing there waiting for a hour. I'm a,ready worried I dont have the right stuff. First she says go ahead and plug them in especially if they are smart tv. The samsung is only a few months old. Then she wants me to get on wifi before its installed to download the app so I can set up a pin number. I have 4 tv outlet places I see, and only 2 small tvs. For $65 set up fee. The guy who comes better be able to figure it out. The wifi here at the hotel isnt secure. He is supposed to call or text me on my cell phone to tell me when he is on the way. I'm currently south and driving up there. I'm assuming all the cords he needs are in the box they delivered friday. I've got my fingers crossed he can set up the tvs and wifi. All I have are the 2 tvs and my tablet I use for wifi. I turned in all my texas spectrum stuff last Monday morning. I want the same service but texas said the equipment cant cross the state line. Tell me I'll survive this and it gets get. Fingers crossed. I didnt have time to shop around much for a chair. Target is sure a overpriced choice to me but its maybe just getting hot and the season for patio furniture. In dallas in the fall it all goes on sale. Probably here season is year round. Something to spend more time looking for later on after I'm moved in. I needed a chair before tomorrow morning. I'll google search for a set I like after im moved in. I keep repeating I'll never move again. Bought a few shirts today too. I only came with 4 tee shirts thinking the truck hot on my heals. I'd pack more for a 7 day cruise than that. My house buyer in dallas called and said the next door neighbors tree fell over from the tornado and severely damaged the fence between us. I said ask him for his insurance, it's his tree. I have 0 trees. Our sales contract reads AS IS. But I've now got a damaged fence. New next door neighbor so far I'm not impressed with. He just moved in a couple months ago and has had two loud parties in his back yard. First one he rented one of those blow up jumping around play houses for kids. Must have a lot of family. I'm extra glad to not live next door to him. I know moving is the right thing for me. I hated that house, it was a money pit. Please please please let the moving truck arrive. And I want to live where I see water and nature and not a big city.

Actually twice I've done izumi sushi side. There is a ala carte, but there is also a set price sit down dinner. The sit down dinner is 39.99, I've done as bogo on both allure and harmony. but for sure there is a sit down "set price". I took a screen shot. The 39.99 I circled is full price for their sit down dinner. 1 small, 2 large and dessert for 39.99. ... and it's been allowed for me on 2 different oasis class ships.

I'd also like rcl IT to copy carnival brands anytime dining where I can eat anytime after 530 and just push a button when I want to eat. I dislike how royal handles anytime dining, either pick a set time every night or stand in line to truly get to eat any time. A lot more woukd do any time if it worked better. Carnival uses a whole dining room it's so popular. I'd like to combine the best of several lines, and it wouldnt be that costly except programming. Next time I cruise is harmony, maybe I'll inquire if they sell wow bands. Look better than a lanyard.

Usually around d the 1st of the month previous to your cruise, sometimes a few days past the 1st. But if I was sailing in july I'd certainly be looking before they are sold out.

I saw something interesting and hope rcl doesnt get ideas. P & O is charging at least the kids for events signed up for they no show. A new source of revenue. I've no showed myself for shows. I hope this idea doesnt catch on.

I admit to no artistic talent. I took a poll here and went with agreeable grey for all the walls. All my windows have the hurricane shutters locked down. Will you come and decorate for me next? Professionally cleaned and agreeable grey lol.

There is a rooms to go across the parking lot that has a patio section I thought I would walk kver just to try and get some ideas of what things people are buying these days. I started over there last night and walked thru the Audi parking lot between me and the store to look at the hours on the door and all the sudden blasting out of speakers was you are intruding on private property. We have you on camera. Please contact with your number ... and they then blasted the same message about 6 times when I turned to walk back to the hotel. People said oh it's not you they just blast that message all the time. Sure got my attention. I wouldnt buy from them I'm sure, never heard anything good, but its sunday and I was just killing time today and saw them with a store out on the main street. A fold up chair or anything I can get in my car to sit on would sure be a help. Standing around and no place to sit down gets old fast. Only so much walking around the condo I can take until I just leave.

I'm also thinking that tornado that took out the power where I live last week could be a factor. If workers had no power at home maybe they stayed home to find dry ice. By friday neighbors were saying they lost everything in their freezer. Idk. George C you seem to live close to where I left from how bad was the weather. I left about 4 pm last Monday and had already turned in my spectrum equipment so wasnt watching the weather. I had no idea it was that bad coming. How bad was it? The moving company is here in florida and knows nothing about dallas weather. I drove to vicksburg last Monday night and had no idea. How this moving company rates a 9 stars out of 10 and seems to lack I formation, just spout DOT and driving regulations sure isnt helpful imo. To have 9 stars others must be happier with them than I am right now.

Some ships seem to be using them. I did oasis last spring and dont remember about it specifically but it seems hit or miss.

I have 2 good bottles of scotch I promised my realtor. Hope the heat in my car didnt affect them. I just got to where I don't drink hardly. I also have a bottle of good anejo tequila I packed in my car. Lol gave all the rest away to cousins, but kept those 3 bottles. The 3 best. I said when we meet for lunch I'll bring them. Ha! Does heat hurt scotch? They did stay in my car overnight since last Monday until Wednesday I took them up to the new condo. Heres hoping the heat didnt ruin the scotch.

Actually maybe it's a good thing I didnt set a specific date for the delivery truck. I didnt know about the rule that someone named ray had to be told at least 24 hours in advance to pad the elevator and would have started off on the wrong foot. Thinking positive. And also it turns out I cant get in and out of the gate after dark without a clicker I now need to ask where to go to pick up. I'm assuming the mgmt company. Going to email them next. There are 3 guard shacks but they are now un manned, now you have to get a clicker to open the gate. My realtor even didnt know as he only came in during the day. I have a handbook of rules I guess I better read from cover to cover. Seems so much has to be done. You used to walk into the post office and fill out a card for a change of address. Now I was told go online and there was a $1.10 charge to forward for 6 months. I'd bet it cost more than that to process my visa card charge. And I still had a vacancy sign in my mail box on this end. I said forward from last Saturday, a week ago. Just everything seems more complicated. The change of address card changed last summer to online they told me. And I'm not tech and need to hire someone to hook up my spectrum. I didnt know which date or time so just have the self install box. The girl from the movers said maybe for a extra fee one of the movers will do it .. maybe. Just feels a bit overwhelming..but I'm trying to relax. I did know moving by myself would be hard.

I'll have to take a picture earlier in the day when the sun is fully up, this was late in the day. Yea I hope the moving truck gets out of dallas soon. If waiting is the worse thing that happens to me moving, I'll consider it lucky. Yea and change my drivers license and all that other stuff. .. though I admit I'm disappointed it could be another week getting here. Communication is key. Though I dont plan on ever moving again, this was too hard. Or move during the winter, not june heat. I've heard patience is a virtue, though it's never been my strong point. I admit I'm impatient. I just want this done and over.

I got out just in time. I was so lucky to leave late last monday. Even if it was 97 degrees, I got out before the storms. And tornadoes.. sorry you are still going thru it. I think I did the right thing for me leaving dallas. I was just there for family. Thanks for the reminder. I do think that's why the truck behind me with my stuff is taking so long. I just need to be patient. Sorry about the dallas weather you are still enduring. So hot!

Things arent going bad really, just hot hot hot but I'm starting to relax. A lot of miscommunication with movers. Like them hanging up empty hangers in the wardrobe boxes and wasting space. And what is a partial pack. I thought it was packing part of my little stuff. I'm here and safe and moved yesterday into a extended stay with fancy suites. 3 extended stays here, only this one had the suites. So other than the moving truck taking so long it's mostly all good. I got out of dallas just in front of the tornadoes so consider that extra extra lucky and might be why the truck is taking so long, no power where I left from for days after. And every hotel I've stayed in has been extra nice. Though I really loved that one in Tallahassee the best, cutest ever. I've have stayed longer had I understood it could be up to 12 BUSINESS days. I've have paid the extra $1500. What has surprised me are the businesses along the 520 road that goes from i95 over to the beach, the next road south from the one that goes by the cruise port. In dallas I'd only seen a tatoo parlor one time down in east dallas. Here they seem prolific. One shopping centre, 3 in row all say tatooes across the front. Never seen so many tatoo parlours. Also I understand weed is only legal for medicinal? I was surprised to see a store front for a weed store, never saw in dallas. It's just different but 2nd time thru looked better, just had come in the more northern route last time, never across the 2nd route south that is the fastest way to orlando airport looks like. And I love the condo. I hated the house I bought, but my dad wanted me 5 minutes away or I'd never had chosen that house, so I would have moved no matter what when they passed. I doubt anyone here thinks moving a whole house solo is their idea of fun. I got a whole kitchen here and a premium suite with a comfy arm chair. Nice desk. Nkw it's just a matter of waiting for the moving truck. I just didnt expect up to 12 BUSINESS days .. but I needed some rest and the temperature is down from last week. Nothing really bad. And im so happy with the new condo. I know who buys a condo sight unseen on the word and movies of a trusted realtor. I had it painted and super cleaned before i arrived. Other than them taking down a elevator the day i arrived, it's super, just want it over with. Walls are all now agreeable grey lol. And super clean. This picture is in person the day I arrived. Just ready for this move to be done. Water doesnt look very blue here, I guess depends on time of day. But this is my own picture.

As above 1300 to 1500 no shows on dream last January is not sailing full. It showed as sold out for a lomg time. Carnival didnt change the wording that a valid passport was required for ports either it was colon panama or Columbia which caused a lot of confusion. It showed sold out si ce April 2023 right up to a few days before final payment due when carnival sent out the notice a passport was required. Seems some PVPs told otherwise, so there could be valid reasons why last minute so many no shows, but we certainly did not sail full. It was a lovely cruise they missed. This was one of their special journey cruises and one of my favorite cruises ever. But showing it as sold out for over 6 months then suddenly there are cabins to book. Those who are managing inventory have some work to do. I'm also looking at it as a stock holder, I have quite a few shares underwater. I'll wait, no problem, as I'm sure ccl will come back but it was poorly managed giving out the info last minute a passport was required to board. I even had people arguing with me on social media it's a round trip no passport required. I knew because I'd done a similar route and I quoted google to them, people still argued for a round trip cruise passports are not required, google was wrong. Carnival should have been clearer imo. That's a lot of no shows. I know you are a loyal cheerleader and never see that carnival ever could have made communication more clear. We wouldn't change each others mind. I turned diamond that trip so I'm a happy calmer and the food was extra extra good. But that's a high number of no shows.

I did a 14 day journey cruise in January and we had close to 1500 no shows. When you just pay fees and taxes which are refunded for no shows, it snt a big deal to decide to not go. It was very nice, hardly any lines anywhere, even the stir fry rarely had more than 5 waiting. Elevators no waiting. They wouldnt tell us exactly how many no shows, could have been as low as 1300, but some said more like 1500. But a lot didnt show for their free casino cruise.
