  1. Oh I tried the firecracker spring rolls too. Good. Not sure which I love best. All my favorites.
  2. I deleted most of mine. That's a picture of the 5 pork things dumplings? I also had the tempura shrimp and veggies. I was disappointed, 1 shrimp and 1 of each veggie. 1 onion ring, 1 asparagus. That picture is the drink I mentioned shes a geisha. A bit tart. I found a picture of my favorite, the poke bowl. This is the single. Last picture is the drink and free appetizer
  3. Yes I think you mean izumi hibachi. It's more expensive but also on sale for lunch. 2 sides to this small restaurant.
  4. I think choice means 0. I'm listed as choice. No perks. Platinum on carnival is more closely aligned to diamond on rcl. Diamond is only 80 pts on rcl. That's where the perks really kick in, 4 free drinks a day. 1 free day of wifi and you can get up to 3 loyalty pts a day on royal. I get $6 free play but its $8 if you play it within first day. 1 free picture. I get 3 free water, maybe you get 2 idk, but platinum on royal really isnt much. You can look it up. I have the page here. Platinum is at 30 pts. Kinda nothing. I see a few discounts, 1 coffee drink, logo item discounts.
  5. I'm guessing they dont have sterilizers as I saw a thread where moms said they used hot shower water to warm up baby bottles in a ice tray. Bring your own soap to wash and sterilize. Moms bring a blow up pool to wash baby.
  6. I think the free soup is the miso soup. It's the first one listed.
  7. And a free soup. And those salted endanames as a appetizer free.
  8. I'm a fan of oasis class. That's why I'm having such a hard time finding a price I want to book any more. Rcl upped the price on oasis class because it's more popular and people will pay more. Shows are higher quality, better voices. More food choices. I dont understand the argument do freedom because symphony will have too many good choices to see and do it all. I get your dilemma.
  9. I was allowed to get a 2nd small plate instead of dessert which you didnt mention. Kinda wierd dessert choices. Poke is my favorite which is 23.95 ala carte. I think the set price sale price is good for what I order. The is a free soup. I got the other soup and liked it better. Also the 5 pork things. Also some other small items. I asked for a double poke bowl for the avacado slices and poke. Said mot double rice and the green stuff salad. Try the free soup. Hot tea free, though I also had shes a geisha girl drink I liked. Used voucher for the mixed drink. I liked other things better than their sushi choice same as you.
  10. I got one email only for date and time change next week at cozumel. For my excursion. My question is different. If rcl is changing dates and times in port, why arent I getting emails advising of this .. not just if I have a excursion in a port get a date and time change.
  11. Every year since covid royal has planner items on sale. I bought quite a few excursions 30% off. Twister which I thought carnival bought many years ago I got for only 25% off, includes a open bar and lunch and beach. $58.99. I remember just twister being $89 onboard carnival many years ago. I can see 6 ports on carnival, some overlap and royal is a bit cheape, maybe only a few bucks. I find carnival excursions to be high, no sales, just always higher priced, though last year this same planner sale excursions were 35%. These are the cheaper run of thr mill excursions, not coco cay which had some 50% off. Lunches were 40% off. Jamie's Italian lunch was $1 cheaper than it was on pasta day. 12.99 on the older ships like mariner, 14.99 on oasis. I booked quite a few of these. Giovanni same price, chops lunch izumi etc, about 4 lunches listed 40% off. I'd prefer Giovanni because it has the same steak fillet but the ships I have booked all are Jamie's instead. Rcl ships have one or the other. I wait all year for this sale. Eating and excursions are what I buy. .. some who want other stuff lower arent happy, but it had what I expected. 30% off I'll take it for excursions, and I booked up some lunches. Chops lunch on harmony 17.99 includes the wonderful steak fillet. I havent seen that carnival steak house is even open for lunch to get the same steak for much much less. Also on good sale wifi for 3 and 4 devices. Not interested lol. I keep hoping carnival has a excursion sale before my January dream cruise. This is one area carnival is high. Imo. Fingers crossed for a sale.
  12. I agree. If they did 9.99 people wouldn't say much but this is too much for a ropes course.
  13. Free on carnival as well as that bicycle type sky ride. They didnt start charging for this type of thing until the roller coaster.
  14. Even buying a rcl excursion they didnt give those priority to get to the meet up point in the port. It was a free for all.
  15. I saw it right after covid but not recently. People say they struggle to book all their dinners who buy pkgs.
  16. And today its struggling to hold 104. I'm hoping the stock holds here and doest sell off again, for no reason. I bought all the way down to 80ish. Dipped below 80, but I was close enough. High beta, volatile. Up and down more than most. Dont count those unhatched chickens until you sell and lock in the price. When I put in for stock obc I go to plan a cruise and look to see if the obc posted. I dont remember the last time they contacted me to tell me it posted.
  17. I always mean total price. I used to find $100 a day or less during sept high hurricane season. Now not even sept is noticeably cheaper. Where are the deals? .. I also started off mentioning right now I'm seeing $200 a day ... all in. ..to me I say "all in" meaning total per day including fees and taxes is closer to what I see, for jubilee and mardi gras .. or adventure or independence OTS starting prices, inside. .. I always mean total prices. With fees and taxes. I personally think its confusing when people just post some starting from per person before x 2 and fees and taxes. My TA quotes me the total price, he doesnt just tell me a gty price for a single person of a couple without taxes and fees. "When people are pointing to $200 a day solo inside cabin, all in and claiming lower prices.. " I think $200 a day inside starting prices are too high for older ships. Mardi gras and jubilee have some new food venues I want to check out. Mdr smaller so some anytime diners can dine once a week in these new venues for free, have to book anytime. I'll be looking to book once I get moved. I love their pizza and lobster rolls. Want to try more new food venues.
  18. Carnival fares arent all the low. I'm wanting jubilee or mardi gras and think carnival low prices are a thing of the past. I'm not booking more of either rcl or carnival right now. Neither has deals. When people are pointing to $200 a day solo inside cabin, all in and claiming lower prices.. says cruise prices are nuts. My Jan carnival 14 day has some balcony cabin at 6k if someone wants one of these great lower prices. The old $100 a day is gone from the ports I watch.
  19. Yes they can tell how many devices per log in are online. If a 3rd logs in, knocks one off.
  20. Depends flying or driving in. I stay in Galveston so I can do the free parking at a hotel. Or almost free. The one I'm booked at first 9 days free, then a $50 cash charge. Plus $10 pp shuttle. A lot stay in Galveston to park. The parking lots are not cheap. When i flew in i stayed near the airport to save a shuttle ride, as the hotel had free airport pick up.
  21. I'm not sure it's as black and white as you claim. I watch earnings and expedia said no sign of a slow down. Pushed rcl higher with it. .. just to name one who disagrees about demand slowing. I do agree it's for sure upsetting to see higher and higher prices, when I think they reached a wall in raising prices. I'm going to be watching for last minute cruises I guess.
  22. I tried to find a confirmation and none of mine say how how. Ken said $250 x .75. I'm sure you are right, but cant find it in my booking receipts.
  23. Come on you know inflation is bad but not 300%. Anyone can find a few items outside the norm. Cruise prices being one of the outliers. Up more than inflation. I'll sign on the dotted line, cruise prices are going up too fast.
  24. Hobby I can drive there in 45 minutes. IAH 1.5 hours, its twice as far. Houston has 2 airports.
  25. Yes yes yes and yes. However if you reprice to get a better tier discount it might then drop the early booking obc. My ta said early booking obc isnt combinable with nextcruise obc.. Any balcony gets a balcony discount but as you saw on the previous thread last sunday, it also is discounted by 25% if you do DP340. Need to do a group price to get the balcony discount seems to me, as the $700 off is more than the discount. Ask your ta and he will give balcony discount for all balconys. Lol I have multiple central park and a boardwalk (utopia) booked. I think I'm getting 177 balcony discount .. $250 minus 25% when DP340 applied. I'm sure I didnt say it exactly, but my experience is yes to all. Not worth adjusting last year or so. Just a $25 discount different I think. And price is higher and lose the early booking obc. Idk. Imo they got you coming and going. Next cruise obc refundable solo DP340 $75 obc, .. or wait and my ta gives $50 obc for early booking. Gain of $25 to do refundable. $100 obc of course next cruise obc nonrefundable.
