I'm about to board harmony for 3 weeks. Did allure 4 times and oasis 3 times and im sure I prefer a larger ship. I also did 4 legs on grandeur and first time I was ready for a cruise to end. Maybe bad timing. It's been many years since I did rhapsody so not a fair comparison. I just like larger ships. More food and show choices. Since you have to fly anyway... I'm looking as xmas 2025 and at adventure and not liking the prices either, so I get where you are coming from. I'm also waiting for inspiration. I booked adventure out of PC b2b dec 13 and dec 21 2024 for xmas. Nice unusual ports dec 13 or i wouldnt pay that much. Overpriced imo. The new itineraries that just dropped last Wednesday are no better in price. I'm betting you arent the only ones sitting there wondering.. but I'm doing adventure for xmas 2024.

The black friday internet deal posters have said is if you want the 3 or 4 devices. Not for just 1 device. -

Gratuity changes after booking
firefly333 replied to njkruzer's topic in Royal Caribbean International
My rates were so good I didnt even look for drops. Last of my best rates. I have some obc on each leg toward some of tips and whatever I didnt prepay and i knew about the nov 11 date. B3b coming up nov 26 and I'll be hit with the higher rate all 3 legs. At least I'm spending mostly their money. -
Gratuity changes after booking
firefly333 replied to njkruzer's topic in Royal Caribbean International
If you prepaid the new rare before nov 11 then you got the old rate. It's too late now. Lol me too. Just booking doesnt lock in tip rate, you have to prepay. -
I just booked voyager TA may 2025. Ends in Barcelona spain. For 20 years I never ventured that far, had elderly parents. Is there a price range for hotels in Barcelona if I wanted to stay a few days. I dont speak other languages will it be easy to get around? I dont even know what day of the week I get in is to try and mock book a similar date. Too early to have a idea about flight costs. I'll keep reading and try to see if there is a area I should book a hotel and figure out where to start.

Deployment 2025-26 booking season begins
firefly333 replied to SummmerInKefalonia's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I'm just curious, asking as a newbie to TA why you prefer the fall europe or spain or UK to usa, instead of spring going there via cruise. I was thinking of my luggage gets lost or something happens to my flight it doesnt matter coming home once my cruise is over. Idk the group price on indy posters say it too high I must be missing something. I just booked the TA because adventure is outrageous and wonder and if star comes in I doubt any better so just booked to book what seems a better deal. .. I'm not experienced in TAs. Just refusing to pay for adventure same as I already booked. I may be doing more TAs and it's all I see reasonable. Probably should start a new thread asking my TA questions. -
Deployment 2025-26 booking season begins
firefly333 replied to SummmerInKefalonia's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Maybe I'm looking at it the wrong way but the indy 14 day gets $250 obc for stock. The 13 day I booked only gets $100. So in my mind that equals $150 the 14 day is better. I'll owe money for auto tips. I just look at the total cost, not what if I was divided into 2 people. -

Deployment 2025-26 booking season begins

I thought $100 a day sounded pretty good but havent priced out others really lately. Just wondered what what a good rate now .. saw a bunch of posts sounded like saying some ta was overpriced I couldn't figure which one they meant. I was just curious. Rereading your reply and maybe I did a great deal. I'm talking total price. Just about $100 a day solo fees and taxes included. I dont do this per person x 2 .. I'm solo. So maybe it's a really great price:) -

I booked the TA may 2025. Out of PC. I have no idea what prices should run when I keep reading here the price is too high for a TA. I figured I could do the 13 day cruise, add a flight, maybe a couple nights before I fly home for less than a balcony 7 days on adventure. I snagged a balcony pool deck for only $30 more than a inside. What is considered a good price for a TA these days. A little over $100 a day plus the cost to fly one way. -
Serenade is the one doing the world cruise right? It's being put in last I read before the world cruise.

They booked you and earned a commission. They would have to agree to release the booking for you to take it away from them. Just dont use them going forward.

I picked up 4 tall cans I carried on last time I think 3 for $5 at krogers in Galveston. And some candy. I give pringles to my cabin steward. If he doesnt like everything I'm sure he has crew friends who do. They are on sale here a lot.

What's going on with taxes and fees pricing?
firefly333 replied to RoperDK's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I got moved not once but twice from grand Cayman and Jamaica to costa maya and roatan which had cheaper fees and taxes. They dont adjust before your cruise. We also missed costa maya and nothing onboard, they said because it was weather related. I wrote to mbayley whose office answered back it's up to each ship if they refund unused port fees and taxes. You might and might not get something onboard as obc. Each ship gets to decide if they want to keep unused fees the letter says. -
Oasis...UDP...Refreshment package questions
firefly333 replied to bluebelt's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Oasis does have a vitality bar by the gym. I went there to get vitamin water. Other than in carts as I got off the ship this was the only place I could find it. They do make some kind of smoothies, there was a menu hanging. I tried some free granola bars one morning and they were interesting. I just wanted the vitamin water. I keep one in my cabin refrigerator. There are 2 cafes with specialty coffee, promenade and deck 8, central park where the roast beef sandwiches are during lunch. Idk if you can get them in Mdr, I just go to the promenade cafe. It opens first. 630 am I believe. -

I was wondering if I'm just unlucky as my roast beef sandwiches havent been good. I thought maybe it was a bad time come later and the roast beef would be better but it hasnt been. I remember them being so much better. Maybe not fat free like george had but the beef just was better. I'll know soon lol. Crossing my fingers. -
There is a suite lounge where during happy hour you get unlimited mixed drinks. Also from 11 to 11 pm you get wine and beer in the lounge. The 4 drinks are separate and can be used anywhere anytime from any bar. The concierge should contact you about a week out. Have you already booked shows? They can help with that and scheduling ck meals. Or pay restaurants. Did you buy a dining pkg? There are seats set aside for you in shows but you still need to be booked. I'm sure I'm forgetting stuff.
