  1. We just sailed out of Canaveral on the Harmony last week and they did care what your arrival time was. Upon arriving you were sent to the designated time line for your reservation. Our time was 10:30 and we got in line behind the Suites. They also had marked separate lines for 11:00-11:30, 11:30-12:00 and 12:00-12:30. Those arriving for even later times than these were told they would have to go over to the sidewalk and wait…. Not sure what happened after we went in, but they were definitely checking.
  2. We did our safety video at the hotel before leaving for the terminal. Once onboard we went straight to our muster station and they checked us off. And yet….on every cruise…..as late as 3:30-4:00pm they are still begging people to complete their muster!!! I say cut their card off until they comply!!
  3. *Cocoa Beach Shuttle *Cruise Control Transportation *GoPort *Cortrans Shuttle (for the return as they only do port to airport runs & airport to port runs)
  4. We were on the Harmony last week. They had designated areas for the assigned boarding time. Even if you arrive early you are still sent to your assigned time line. We had a 10:30 check in time so I have no idea what happened to the lines behind us but they were checking…
  5. we are 70ish and have used these six times now. We find them to be so much less stressful since we can do them at home on our schedule
  6. I think your plan B sounds like the best, easiest and quickest….
  7. We always get trip insurance but never from the cruise line. You can get better coverage for less money through a third party. Here is where we always go to purchase and some plans will insure kids for free…. www.insuremytrip.com
  8. We book Boardwalk balconies a lot and like them. We have never had a big problem with noise. We are usually not back to the room until 10:00 or so and by then everything is over at the Aqua Theater. Our first choice is an oceanview but we don’t have a problem booking a Boardwalk if the price is much better…
  9. all sailings on all cruiselines from the US still require testing…. Don’t let these tests keep you from cruising!!!

  11. Daytona Beach Shores and Port Orange are almost exactly an hour from Canaveral. We like to stay at the Residence Inn in Daytona Beach Shores. Don’t stay in Daytona Beach because some of those can be sketchy! Make sure you are staying in the ones listed above which are farther South than Daytona.
  12. Which direction will you be coming from?? I-95 north or south or coming from the Orlando area?
  13. Any local will tell you in Miami to park at the port!!! Unless you are feeling lucky…🥺🥺
  14. The testing has NOT be dropped for any sailings from the US. I hate when articles are published with misleading headlines! Some people who never bother to read the actual article are going to not test and will miss their cruise!!
  15. We sometimes book onboard to get their OBC and then transfer it to our travel agent and also get his perks…..
  16. They usually want you out of your cabin by 8:00-8:30!! They need the extra time to turn the ship around…
  17. We book Boardwalk balconies quite a lot. We usually book a cabin that is about halfway since it is such a long walk all the way to the end. As far as noise the only time I would even notice it in the evenings was when a show was going on or maybe a movie. All was over around 10:00-10:30. We enjoyed sitting on our balcony and watching all the sights and sounds. I was even able to video the Johnny Rockets crew doing their dance on the Boardwalk several times though out the day…
  18. Definitely be aware of the arcade charges……I don’t believe it can be restricted…
  19. The Hampton Inn Brickell is a great choice. It is in a very safe and clean part of town. We enjoyed our stay there very much!!
  20. when we stayed there (pre-covid) we ate at the sports bar two, doors down from the hotel. It was very good…
  21. I don’t know what time you are arriving but since you are taking the big risk of flying in the day of I would probably stick with the RCC shuttle. However other options are: *one way car rental *Uber *Cortrans Shuttle *Cocoa Beach Shuttle *Cruise Control Transportation
  22. Country Inn & Suites is also a great choice for families and they have a great shuttle…
  23. Having everything printed definitely speeds things along…..
