  1. On our Sept Wonder cruise we ran into a very loud, vocal and RUDE terminal worker at the entrance of the garage. We arrived about 9:20 like we have many times before and although there were already FOUR cars parked on the ramp waiting for the gate to open to go in he came flying up to our car on his scooter and screamed at us that the garage didn’t open until 9:30 and for us to leave….NOW!!!😳😳. Even though the other cars were not made to leave we left and came back at 9:35. Again this same guy comes flying up on his scooter pointing his finger at us and screamed “we are still not open I have already told you that you need to leave….NOW!” By this time my husband had had enough of his attitude and told him we were not leaving and we proceeded to get in line behind the other FOUR cars who had been there the whole time which really set him off. We told him to go get his supervisor and he sped off……then the gates to the garage opened…..and we proceeded to go in and park with the others.🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ It was a very upsetting experience that I hope we never repeat with this guy again. Two weeks later we left from Terminal 5 and had the complete opposite experience. Everyone was so nice and polite and no one was yelling at anyone…..😂😂
  2. Happpened on one of our cruises. An elderly gentleman with Alzheimer’s had gotten out of his cabin in the middle of the night and his wife was frantically trying to find him. She kept losing him all week because he seemed to always try it during sleeping hours . She said she thought he would be okay to cruise but found out it was a big mistake to try and bring him. I felt sorry for her….😢😢
  3. First rule is to grab your drinks and silverware FIRST, grab a table and then go back for food!! For some reason people tend to fill their plates full and then wander around the buffet looking for a seat…….so much easier the other way!!
  4. I am not going to spend hundreds of dollars on a nice cruise and then quibble about giving the last person I hand my luggage to a tip!! Not any of my business, nor do I care, what they earn or don’t earn!! I happily give them their tip and then board the ship and look forward to my vacation…...
  5. I never, ever print my luggage tags in color and have never had a problem with delivery!!
  6. We just did our first cruise to Bermuda on the Mariner in August and absolutely loved it!!!! And best of all it was a casino comped cruise so a win-win for us!!!!🙌🙌 Cannot wait for the chance to go back!!!
  7. I didn’t think I would care for the app but I love it. I am 70ish and find it very helpful and useful to use.
  8. if you have Early “Fixed” Traditional dining then you don’t have make reservations. Sound like either you didn’t know you had My Time Dining OR they changed you to MTD from Traditional without your knowledge (which has happened to me!)
  9. Was on the Wonder last month and the Country Crew Trio in the Mason Jar bar were terrific!!! They are so good they were invited by the CEO to play on the President’s Cruise this past July out of Galveston!!
  10. we don’t mind taking a walk down our hall to find the luggage. That way we can grab it and go ahead and unpack. Ours has never been on the other side of the ship…..guess we have been lucky….😎
  11. We mostly sail out of Canaveral and always find our luggage waiting in the hall when the rooms are ready…..😎😎
  12. Have had my pacemaker for over 2yrs now and have sailed multiple times. I never go through the metal detector. I just let them know I have one and they pull me aside for a quick pat down. Never needed to produce any paperwork…but I do have my card with me if needed
  13. any local will tell you for Miami it is best to park at the port….unless you are feeling lucky….
  14. For Miami any local will tell you to park at the port….unless you are feeling lucky!!!!
  15. Just off the Wonder and the Mariner……early dining started at 5:15-5:30
  16. yes quite a lot of construction going on. I would hate to pay what it costs to park there for a week and have to leave my car outside in a parking lot, on ground level, especially during hurricane season….
  17. He wasn’t a porter…..he was the garage entrance psycho!! 😂😂
  18. when we sailed on the Wonder a couple of weeks ago we came at our usual 9:15 time and the garage was closed. We were approached by a very rude and loud port worker who literally screamed at us and told us to come back at 9:30. We were shocked but left and came back at 9:35 and it was still closed! Although there were 3 cars already sitting on the ramp waiting to go in this same crazy worker approached us still yelling it wasn’t opened! My husband told him it was 9:35 and if he had a problem with us to go get his supervisor! He stormed off, the gate was opened and we went into the garage with the other people waiting. it was the weirdest and most upsetting scenario I have ever had at this terminal. Maybe he was having a bad day or off his meds but he clearly didn’t like us for some reason. so just be aware if Terminal 1 is his permanent post you very well may not get in until after 9:30. sailed out of T5 this past Saturday and had a completely opposite experience. Everyone was so very nice even though we were early😁
  19. we just got off the Wonder Sunday and they were doing some kind of construction out there and it wasn’t open. They have parking now in front of the terminal and to the right side of the parking deck. It looked like they were expanding the surface parking on the left side
  20. Pre-book your parking and pay the little bit extra for valet!! Totally worth it since the parking garage is across the street from the terminals…
  21. There are many, many things in our world that will never be the same because of Covid. While I am very sad for the things we lost I know that I can either keep wishing for the way things were OR I can accept what I cannot change and find the positive things in my life now. At my age I am well aware I don’t have a lot of years left to travel. I still love cruising and will continue to do so as long as I can. May you all look for glasses that are “half full and not half empty” and be happy you have a glass at all….
  22. We always stay up until 12:01am on the day check in opens so we can grab the earliest spot available.
