  1. I would agree with this based upon the cost of the non alcoholic package.
  2. Not sure what you mean by turn back in. They continue to remove benefits to their most loyal customers. I was simply pointing out that what was once a perk of being elite ( at least if you didn't drink), is gone.
  3. I think you missed my point. I was talking about the miniscule provider cost to maintain a loyal patron.
  4. While I agree with what you are saying, the horror of the expense to princess for cups of coffee. Maybe $0.000000001 per cup. So many better ways to curb costs without reducing benefits to loyal customers.
  5. I'm still mad about this. Looks like the non alcoholic drink package that includes coffee is $40/day per person. For a 7 day cruise that is $560 for 2 people. Am I the only one who thinks that is insane? I still don't know how they arrived at this. A cup of coffee or two is way cheaper than the alcohol that you exchange it for. I know that princess gets them dirt cheap, but still, the alcohol bottles and beer still probably them cost $.50-$1 each, and that is more than the cost of the coffee. What a decent perk to remove from their most loyal customers. My 25th cruise with Princess might be my last. These onboard prices are ridiculously high, and now the only real elite benefit left is laundry, and that seems to have it's own trouble, as the last 2 times we have used it, they lost an article of my wife's clothing.
  6. I click on "Personal Information and Documents, then Suggested Arrivals and select Arrival Group when it's available.
  7. We have been on one Celebrity cruise and are elite on Princess. I really truly hate Princess nickle and diming, which is really Ten dollaring and twenty dollaring. There should be better ways to gain back revenue and customers without removing all the benefits from those who have been loyal passengers. They simply do not care, and as long as people buy the stuff, they will continue to increase the costs. With that said, we enjoyed our Celebrity cruise, we were on their oldest ship I think the Infinity, and it was older and smaller and needs renovation (it was scheduled for 2020, but the pandemic ended that). But I will say it was overall a positive experience. We booked one FCC with them, but haven't booked a cruise yet. I would like to try one of their newer ships. I don't care for the salt water pools though, and while Princess prices on everything onboard is super high now, Celebrity is still higher. It might be time to move back to land based vacations.
  8. Is it at all cheaper to buy any of these "packages" before the cruise vs onboard?
  9. Was coming to post this. That's a huge percentage increase.
  10. Thanks. If it's still in the documentation for swap options, then they should honor it.
  11. Haven't been here for a while. Wait, I can't exchange my mini bar setup anymore for coffee packages? That pisses me off. One of the few perks remaining for being a loyal customer. We are not buying a coffee package after I used to get it for giving them their liquor back. Is this updated on the website somewhere?
  12. I wonder about the price of the soda package. Seems on the website I see one price, and when I log in I see a slightly cheaper price. Wonder what the onboard price is? And unlike plus, can one person buy the soda package and not the other?
  13. We have it for an upcoming cruise. Can be used for anything.
  14. If you only drink 2 drinks a day, buy them separately. You would have to drink quite a few to make the plus cost worth it.
  15. We were on this cruise, along with the PCA. I was told there were 700 of them onboard. Weather was wonderful all week. Ship was great.
  16. 3 cruises Emerald Princess Panama Canal Celebrity Infinity Caribbean Regal Princess Caribbean Got covid on one of them
  17. I brought mine, but on the Regal December 10th, they did not request to see it.
  18. Sometime between a week and 60 days, but they don't really matter. No one looks at them.
  19. We had them every day on the Regal last week. If they have the white chocolate flavor, they can make it. i have been on ships that didn't have it available.
  20. We were on the week before you. Overall, we had a fantastic trip. Originally we were staying on for the next week, but changed our plans when we adopted dogs this summer. Worked out for us. Cruise food. I'm no foodie, and we don't go to the DR anymore. We ate in the buffet or burgers/pizza each day, but I always thought there were lots of options for everyone to find things they could eat. Cruise food is good, not great, and if you know this going in, you will not be surprised.
  21. I once got off a ship and while waiting to board a taxi realized I had left a camera sitting on the table in the stateroom. I now triple check the room. Managed to flag down an employee who was able to contact folks and retrieve it, but that was while no one new was occupying the room yet. Good luck.
  22. Terminal 2 and Delta. There were people standing around everywhere waiting. One thing I noticed on disembark notice was walkoff now was extended to 9:30am. This was Princess.
  23. At FLL now. Was told can only go thru security 2 hours before flight. Used to be 3 as I recall. Is this new? We had an 11:30am flight, and got to the airport at at 8:30 and they wouldn't let us in, so had to sit for a while. Wasn't sure if this was a recent change so thought I would mention it.
