Good morning/evening. The Indian Ocean remains calm. The Indian Festival and buffet was a huge success and was appreciated by all. Many of the guest were wearing some beautiful Indian designed clothing. Another great sea day with trivia and lectures. Enjoyed a nice lunch in MDR followed by a long refreshing nap. Tomorrow we visit Muscat, Oman followed by Sir Bani Yas, UAE. Tonight we will dine in Discoveries MDR and will skip the guest illusionist act. With the time day difference and touring during port days it’s been difficult staying fully up to date on what’s been happing to all our Daily subscribers. Regardless for those with medical or other issues your in my thoughts and prayers. @kazuSo happy to hear you are going cruising. Have a great weekend everyone. Bruce

Onward is presently at sea for two consecutive days before our next port Muscat, Oman. Tonight the culinary team is preparing a huge Indian Buffet pool side and they have been decorating all day. Tonight ships orchestra along with Eric and ship’s dancer and singers will perform a brand new production featuring the Tony’s. Our side trip to Taj Mahal was a great experience minus some airline delays. Some pics of around the Taj and the lavish buffet at a five star hotel in Agra. We were all pretty worn after getting up at 4 AM and getting back to ship at 2:00 AM the following day. Life is fantastic on the Onward and we are all awaiting to see what it will be like after Dubai and our detour around Africa. Closely watching current conflicts and whether we can make it to Dubai.

Hello from the Arabian Sea. We have enjoyed our first of two consecutive sea days as we sail to our next port Muscat. Oman. We played wake up trivia and came in second and then attended a most informative lecture on whales. Enjoyed a light lunch on the outside Sunset Cafe. Tonight they are having a huge Indian Themed Buffet pool side. They have been decorating all day. Indian dress is encouraged. After buffet the orchestra and ships singer and dancers will be performing a brand new production show entitled The Tony’s! Our two hour nap this afternoon helped and last night clocks set back 30 min. And tonight back a hour. Thanks for the report and post. Here is some miscellaneous pics from our last few days in India. This morning we finally returned to Mumbai and to bed at 2:00 AM from our side trip to Agra and Taj Mahal. Up at 6:30 AM for a 8 o’clock excursion to the Gates of Mumbai and the famous Taj Hotel. The square at the gate is very popular with the Indians as it’s where they celebrate their Independence. Mumbai was formerly named Bombay but the name changed in 1995. One of the most populated cities in the world within the surrounding area of 22 million. India is now the most populated country with a population of 1.4 billion people! Mumbai is the financial capitol of India and it’s wealthiest city. It’s is known as Bollywood as it’s India major filmmaking hub. Unfortunately this very over populated country has the third largest slum in the world with 1.2 million inhabitants in Mumbai using only 800 community toilets. Sad! We rode one of the many local passenger ferries out to Elephanta Island and climbed the 122 steps up to the Ba Tu Caves to witness the ancient Hindu carvings in the walls of the man made caves. After all that we are looking forward to two consecutive sea days and air conditioning. Thanks for the post and @kazu Jacqui I do pray for the fool to respond to treatment and that you can enjoy a well deserved cruise Bruce

What a day! Up at 4:00 AM to take a flight from Mumbai to Agra. Saw the beautiful Taj Mahal then Azamara provided us with a sumptuous and huge Indian Buffet at a five star hotel. We now just arrived in New Delhi awaiting a delayed flight back to Mumbai. Hopefully we will get back to ship right after midnight. It was all worth it.- 98 replies

Good morning/Evening. Just a short post for now as we will be attending a meeting soon to be briefed on our flights and day trip to Taj Mahal tomorrow. We have a 5 AM show and an estimated return to ship in Mumbai around midnight. We will need a sea day especially seeing we have a early excursion booked in Mumbai the following morning. There are 120 of us going. Back on the Indian Ocean and it continues to be as smooth as glass. Thanks for the featured reports and all your post. Bruce- 84 replies

The Fleet Report and Daily for Monday April 15th, 2024

Our Azamazing Evening was amazing. Beautiful venue, Henna painting on hands, palm reading and spectacular colorful costumed performance performing local culture and custom dancing. Today on our second day in Cochin we went to a village to watch the locals make much used of the local coconut palms. Basket, brooms, thatched roofing, coconut liquor, milk and ropes. Saw the famous fishing nets and took a poled canoe ride. Did I mention it was hot! We set sail on the Arabian Sea headed for Mumbai on Wednesday. So fortunate and Blessed to experience such a adventure. Cocktail and dinner time. Thanks for the reports and post. Bruce- 83 replies

Last night’s Azamazing Evening on Cochin, India truly was amazing. Palm reading, Henna Art, a beautiful decorated venue, local cuisine treats and elaborate culture dancing. More photos later the ships internet here in port has been pretty much useless.

Just a quick post as we have an early meal before being bussed to the sight of our Azamazing evening in Cochin, India. We had a full day of touring in sweltering heat and I’ll try and post pictures tomorrow as the internet is so slow today. Sailed in this morning on Arabian Sea and will sail away at 5:00 PM tomorrow. Thanks for the post. Bruce- 82 replies

Thanks for the Fleet Report. Enjoyed our restful sea day. Tomorrow we arrive in Cochin, India for an overnight and full day. We will have our Azamazing Evening. We skipped the Brunch Buffet in MDR Discoveries and ate lunch in Windows which always has some interesting dishes of local cuisine depending on where we are. Looking forward to our upcoming visit to Mumbai as they are flying all of us World Voyagers to Agra for what will be a long day visit to the Taj Mahal. This day trip is offered as part of the World Cruise. Technically free but I’m sure we paid for it with the initial cost of cruise. Another smooth day at sea but we have not seen much sunshine on this leg. Have a great day and weekend everyone. Bruce- 104 replies

Just a heads up. On the World Voyage we have had several folks having to go home early. Why? Their passports stamp pages were full and no more space for additional stamps. Ridiculous yes but never the least it has happened. Make sure you have ample space for immigration stamps. When renewing passports one can pay extra for extra stamp clearance pages. Another sea day on a glass like Indian Ocean. Next up a two day stay in Cochin, India and our Azamazing Evening for this segment. Life is very good on Onward.

Waking up to another glass like Indian Ocean. Just a heads up. We have had several folks have to stop the cruise as their passport stamp pages were full. Sounds ridiculous but it has happened. Make sure you have enough free pages for the beauracratic immigration folks. When renewing passports you can request extra pages.- 111 replies
