  1. OP. Check out the plethora of Azamara video streams on You Tube. They can give you a pretty good indoctrination if Azamara is right for you.
  2. No need to respond as we are all at peace but dear brother-in-law Don just passed. A good person and good life.
  3. After cruising for years and over 500 days exclusively on Hal we took a Azamara cruise. We enjoyed our first Azamara cruise so much we booked the World Cruise. Our TA presented us with a great deal on a Seabourn cruise this October so we’ll give that a try. After four Azamara cruises and the big one coming up we have found our happy place but will remain open to new experiences on different lines. To us smaller ships are better and life at sea the best. So OP give Azamara a try and enjoy.
  4. Good morning. We visited Catalina a couple of years ago on a Nieuw Amsterdam repositioning cruise from Seattle to Fort Lauderdale. Always will be a memorable cruise because we took a lucrative upsell offer and cruised in the Pinnacle Suite. We have our third appointment at bank today to finish the last step in completing our Living Trust. So far we have not received a cancellation call.🤞 Other than that it’s Monday and laundry day. BIL is still hanging in there so not sure how long this “transition” will take. Find out about the biopsy I had done on my leg tomorrow and then I’ll be a bachelor for a week as Sue visits her twin sister in NY state. Hope all of you in Hillary’s path had no issues other then lakes and reservoirs being replenished. Thanks for the Fleet Reports and postings. Bruce
  5. World Awareness Mosquito Day just mentioned on news. These pesky little pest caused over 400,000 + deaths per year. Now LA area gets a 5.1 earthquake with aftershocks. Twenty six million folks are in harms way from Hilary. Washington State forest fires are also a hazard and concern. Stay safe.
  6. We had a wonderful church service along with inspiring sermon. Will be headed for Base Exchange later for some items and then will probably watch NASCAR race from Watkins Glen. It’s already 87 degrees and will be another mid nineties day. For those of you in the path of Hillary’s I hope you remain safe. That terrain does not soak up rain well so there is the danger of flooding and landslides. Stay safe. Bonaire has to be one of my most memorable places to snorkel. Just beautiful coral formations and abundance of colorful fish. I have caught up on my habitual reading of the Daily. Thanks Rich and to all who contribute to my Daily addiction! Bruce
  7. Good morning. We are running late so will be attending church online in five minutes. Here’s some grins and will read later. Bruce
  8. Good morning. Our excessive heat will continue through the weekend and who know’s when we will get some relief. No news this morning on my brother-in-law but have heard he is not suffering. Sue is out on her walk so have not discussed plans of the day if any. Lot’s of weather systems out there and the South West will be the first to experience. Not much else to add today other then thanks for the Fleet and Care reports. Have a great day. Bruce
  9. Thank you Jacqui. We are all in the zone and expect these events but also realize we are in a line and fortunately do no not know our number. We continue to enjoy every day as if it was our last. My BIL Don had a wonderful life and he Believed their was more to come.
  10. I agree. We love Hal but after so many days it was getting repetitious. Same menus, same entertainment. How many times can one watch same dance shows? We look forward to more cruises with Hal but enjoying some new experiences. Azamara reminds us so much of our Prisendam days and has excelled. We’ll be back with Hal and their great itineraries but our days of loyalty to one line are over. Most importantly, is we love being at sea and cruising.
  11. I struggle about our fellow Hawaiians and what they must be going through and what the future faces. Not trying to sound political but besides coming to their aid, which I’m sure is more difficult because of distance we should also show our concerns and unity by flying our flag at half mast in remembrance of their lost loved ones.🇺🇸
  12. That’s good news on your health. We are booked on Seabourn Quest end of October. Montreal to Miami. It will be our first time on Seabourn. Their CC Roll Calls are pretty much non-existent. We have found it’s refreshing to experience cruising on other cruise lines. Our flights to New Zealand/Australia we break up. Like Atlanta to West Coast spend a day or two. Last time we went to Honolulu from West Coast and overnighted a day or two. Does shorten the long haul. Bruce
  13. @kazu Jacqui. Thanks for ten years of faithfully providing us with the Bon Voyage post and future cruise post. Very appreciated. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💐
  14. Good morning. We received news yesterday that Susan’s oldest sister husband is close to dying. It will be a Blessing as he has not been his kind and wonderful self since suffering from dementia. On a brighter note. @Mr. Boston Happy Birthday!🎂 Being a week of travel this week just flew by and it seems true also with August. September is on its way and we hope it starts cooling down. There is lots of activity and tropical depressions forming so these next few months will be worrisome. Please keep the folks of Hawaii in your thoughts and prayers. Not only entire families have perished but their homes and livelihood. So sad. Have a great weekend. Thanks for all who make the Daily possible. Bruce
  15. We are doing the World Cruise on Onward. How are you both doing?
  16. Lot’s of planning going on for this 156 day adventure. C’mon January.
  17. Thanks for sharing your cruise experience. Not sure why you had problems having orange juice and I have never had to pay for it.
  18. Good morning. It’s currently 73 degrees and will climb to 93. With lower humidity it’s bearable. We have been to Curaçao several times. We’ve done Caribbean enough times that many times staying onboard the ship is the destination. Always looking for cruises with different itineraries and new ports in Caribbean. We don’t attend Mariner lunches anymore. Never impressed by the meals or choices. Good time for lunch in Pinnacle. We have our bank appointment today and that should be the finishing touch to completing our Living Trust. Tonight we will meet with our church small group and it will be nice to see them again. For 18 years I volunteered at our church thrift shop as Day Manager on Tuesdays and cashier. We often were voted best thrift store in region. Raised millions of dollars that supported many local charities. Thanks Rich and all who contribute. Enjoy your day. Bruce
