  1. We were in the Mandarin Oriental for our November cruise, however it was being demolished early this year, to make way for a new apartment complex. Other passengers were located at the Intercontinental.
  2. I have the Master Suite booked for a Tokyo to Tokyo cruise next year. The second bedroom was being locked off when it was just my husband and myself, I have since added our best friends to the second room, paid more to unlock the second bedroom though.
  3. Hi, we are booked for the Vibrant Tokyo tour in March 24. Are you able to take the 3 nights accommodation and not do the arranged tours, so we can organise our own tours/guides instead? Then be able to use the bus to get to the port?
  4. Go Army, your response is really appreciated. Thank you
  5. Great responses, thank you. Regent had quoted a car to take us to the airport but the price was ridiculously expensive. Over $600 AUD 😳 Can someone please give me a little more information about clearing customs, the day before debarkation, what’s involved? Thank you.
  6. As I’m from Australia, we don’t get Regent air. We are flying on our own.
  7. We are booked for the Tokyo to Tokyo cruise, next March and have an early flight home at 8:50am out of Haneda airport. What’s the earliest we can get off the ship, or should we leave the night before and stay at the airport hotel? The ship docks in Tokyo the day before? Any advice from past passengers, that have experienced an early departure? Also are taxis available at the port, at the time we will need to leave? Thank you.
  8. Hi, I have downloaded the Regent app to use on tours and connect to my own headphones/ear buds, to make hearing the guide easier, when in large groups. But does this app get used by the guides or is it something that people don’t bother with?
  9. I’m also from Australia and find the Block Parties fun. It’s always lovely to chat with new people, no matter where they’re from in the world. The parties don’t go for long and “small chat” is very appropriate, when talking to someone new.
  10. Thanks for posting that, it was great to watch. Lots of hard work for them, to turn Navigator around in time.
  11. I can’t wait to follow your journey. Thanks for the live report 👏🏼😁
  12. Oh dear that doesn’t sound promising, sorry you experienced that, but we are there for only one night, so fingers crossed.
  13. That’s interesting as we are also sailing on the Mariner in November and Regent have booked us into the Mandarin Oriental in Miami.
  14. That’s odd as we’ve stayed in 781 & our friends in 783 and noise from the band or lounge, was never an issue for either of us. Also the stage where the band is located is more centered back below 784. , If 782 could hear it, so should all the aft level 7 cabins but it was fine from our two cabins. I’d happily stay there again.
  15. Thank you for bringing your cruise “alive” for us. I’m sure many of the readers are counting down their days before boarding and your live blog, helped get us even more excited. Great job 👏🏼
  16. I have to laugh at everyone complaining about the new time. Set your alarms and get up for ONE time to make your holiday restaurant booking. I’m in Australia and we usually cop everything at weird times, we just get on with it. When we go to Disneyland, I have to get up at 1am every day for the length of my what my trip will be, to make the dining bookings. After a week of doing that I’m zonked but happy I’m going on a wonderful holiday. Making restaurant bookings with Regent is a one time thing for the cruise, so I can easily handle that without making an issue of it. We are very privileged to be able to enjoy this wonderful cruise line………so throw any booking time at me and l’ll happily take it.
  17. I did this cruise on Scenic 1, Feb 20 and have just recently completed the Arctic cruise on Scenic 2 a few weeks ago. Is there anything specific that you want to know?
  18. We’ve also done this and the train journey is spectacular. The Anchorage Hilton however, was probably the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Our room was next to the elevator shaft and the ice machine, no sleep was had. It’s amazing how many people get ice at 2am in the morning 😳 It’s an easy walk from the hotel to the station, with your luggage and then from the station to the ship.
  19. I’m from Australia, so I can’t comment on the Regent flights, however I have done the Alaskan cruise twice. I highly recommend arriving the day or 2 prior to Anchorage, then taking the amazing train to Seward. There is a hotel in Seward right near the docks. They also run a fantastic tour by boat, where we saw whales, otters, a glacier etc. and the scenery was stunning. There is also a Sea Life Centre, which you can easily spend a few hours. We were so glad we did this first.
  20. I’ve stayed in Horizon Suite deck 8 & Seven Seas Suite deck 7, both were quiet and I’d book deck 7 again without an issue. The only problem we had was toilets not flushing……..apparently for both deck 7 & 8, September last year.
  21. We are also celebrating a birthday whilst onboard and have selected Prime 7. Can’t wait.
  22. That is because the details get attached to your passport electronically and will be seen by Immigration when you disembark entering Canada.
  23. Further down in the Additional Pre Embarkations section, it states the following; For cruises sailing from ports in the United States all guests are required to complete a COVID-19 PCR or Antigen test from a lab or pharmacy within 48 hours of arriving to the terminal. So sailing from Miami or Alaska will require testing.
