  1. You need to contact Celebrity and give them your time and information so that you will be Elite. It doesn’t happen automatically. there are no vouchers there is an a Elite, continental breakfast, at one of the specialty restaurants, at which you can get Bellini’s, Bloody Mary’s and mimosas between 8 am and 10 am. from 5-7 you can order from the Elite happy hour menu, available at most bars but not restaurants
  2. Details please. Where did you see the report? What did the passengers order? Which ship?
  3. There is no check box but you can certainly book at “simply sail” and then add back the features you want.
  4. They didn’t carry any minutes over but at one time Celebrity definitely awarded back to back cruisers 30 minutes of Internet on the 2nd cruise in order to do the survey. I got it many years ago (maybe 10?) before I ever had an Internet package. it didn’t have anything to do with being Elite, and I understand that they stopped doing it because there was some concern that it would appear that they were trying to bribe people to give good marks on the survey.
  5. I don’t know, I wasn’t in either of those restaurants. Perhaps someone who was can post their wine list
  6. Still looking for some holiday power up points to get this thread back on track
  7. Not available if you used a Big Box store as travel agent
  8. At six months out this is not unusual.
  9. Try sliding the panel with the icons, not the whole page
  10. If the only available date is Celebrity….then the question is, how to make it the best cruise for you and your family. Start with checking out the Roll Call to see if other families are posting there.
  11. Without knowing the itinerary there’s no way to answer this
  12. The ships water is perfectly fine to drink. You can take a refillable bottle to the ocean view and replenish it there. concerns about swollen ankles are misguided. It is not the water at fault, it is the salty food. Also consider that it is the same water used to make the coffee, tea, the soup, the ice cubes. If it caused swollen ankles every single person on the ship would be suffering.
  13. Celebrity is trying to find alternatives to plastic for the water they sell, trying both paper cartons and aluminum cans, but they are stilling selling water in plastic bottles and have not banned them.
  14. Keep watching Cruise Critic. Someone will surely be doing a “live from” thread and you can ask them to check on it while they are on board.
  15. I believe if you go to the Celebrity app and choose “safety” from among the choices on the bottom, it tells you the location of your assembly station
  16. OP I am sure you have done this already, but double check your junk mail file to see if by any chance there’s an email in there from Celebrity.
  17. I simply meant that an elite member and a non elite member can both sit side by side in a bar. The elite member would get their drink free, the others there would not.
  18. When some people speak of the happy hour, they mean the event that was held in the sky lounge, with passed hors d’oeuvres, and restricted access. The Captains Club host or hostess stood at the door and checked your card. There was a dress code. others use the term happy hour to mean that from 5 to 7 on most nights you can have unlimited drinks at most bars. These are non-hosted events and are not restricted to elite and above. You simply show your card and order one of the drinks from the menu and there is no charge. what celebrity has now said, is that a couple of times a cruise, they will bring back the original model. As far as I know, this has not been implemented yet. so, for the time being, if you are elite, and above, every night, except for the first night, you can order unlimited drinks from 5 to 7 from the elite happy hour menu. Not in the dining room and not room service.
  19. The two lines operate quite differently. Most of us seem to be satisfied that they do. There are lots of Royal policies I hope never come to Celebtity (and vice versa)
  20. Elite and above have a two hour happy hour, from 5 to 7 every night, except for embarkation night, valid at almost every bar on the ship, but not in the dining room, and not roomservice, with unlimited drinks from the specific menu. There is no sky lounge on beyond.
