Rich, this new font is easier to read. I really like New Times Roman though. I’m glad you enjoyed Cozumel. Can you share the name of the restaurant you ate at? By the way, was the water choppy? We were there January 2015 and it was very rough. I heard that in January it is rougher.

Patmos isn’t usually a HAL port. On our 2001 Med cruise on the Rotterdam we weren’t able to get to Athens due to a transportation strike and went to Patmos instead. What a gorgeous beautiful island!

Good morning and Happy Boxing Day. Yesterday we had a very pleasant buffet lunch at DM’s. They charge $20 each for non residents. They have seatings on the hour. Unfortunately, we were in the back of the line for our 1:00 pm seating so our plates didn’t look as pretty. The salmon Wellington was good but since we got the last few pieces it was sort of broken apart. It all tasted good though. The shrimp cocktail was the highlight. We didn’t like the dessert offerings so went back to her apartment and had chocolates and a shot of the B52 cocktail that I had taken as a gift. Today I’m relaxing and going to spend some time looking at 2024 cruises. I want to get something planned. Thinking about Hawaii or the British Isles. I never made the mussels on Saturday so that’s what we are having. Craig is going to get fresh bread and I’ll make garlic toasted bread to sop up all the delicious broth. It’s probably one of the easiest meals I make. Have a great day everyone!

OMG, I am so sorry DH wasn’t home for Christmas. Shame on the transportation company! I know you were really looking forward to having him home. Tears are okay and I’m glad your day got better.

I’ve made it that way but it is still hard to keep them in separate layers. I wish I had your bartending skills! But for my DM I didn’t want to give her all three bottles, just wanted to take her about two cups worth. Goodness, she still has a bottle of Bailey’s I gave her last year for Christmas. So, since I did it that way I just went ahead and mixed it all together. Not quite the same thing but tastes just as good. We each had two shots, and yes, it can kick your you know what.

Merry Christmas! And Happy last day of Hanukkah! We are going to my DM’s senior living residence for Christmas lunch. It’s a buffet with a Sirloin Roast and Salmon Wellington as the main course. We will take a bottle of Kim Crawford because their wine is horrible. I’m thinking about taking the ingredients for a B52 as an after dinner treat. DM loves Bailey’s! Merry Christmas Eve! Roy @rafinmd, thank you for the mention of Amaya on the Care List. She is actually our son’s significant other’s daughter, so our almost granddaughter. Poor thing is still sick and still has a temp. Our granddaughter, Summer, went home today taking our gifts with her. Our daughter was able to come by with our grandson to open their gifts. And tomorrow we will go to my Mom’s for a buffet lunch at her assisted living center. A bit more disjointed than we expected but we all have to adapt when the unexpected happens. Tonight Craig has requested mussels and I happen to have a package in the freezer. Stay warm everyone!

Good evening all! Turns out our family Christmas Eve won’t happen. DS’s SO’s DD (hope that makes sense!) is ill. They have canceled. I feel so bad for them because they have worked so hard and have so much food. And poor Amaya, being sick at Christmas, ughh. Travel safe and stay warm!

We were in Key West January 2015 on the Nieuw Amsterdam but I have no pictures. Back then I had Craig take the pictures so I’ll check his phone and see what he has. I do remember we walked around on our own and went to the Hemingway house and Truman’s Little White House. If I find anything I’ll post later.

Good morning! Normally I’m not up this early but couldn’t get back to sleep. Happy Festivus! We’ve been watching Christmas movies all week, last night was Home Alone. DGD seemed to enjoy it. I didn’t make any Christmas cookies this year but our DS’s SO did and we’ll enjoy them tomorrow. Today we are doing some last minute shopping. Then Chipotle for lunch. Happy Birthday @kochleffel!! Maxine @AncientWanderer, I remember you mentioning that your DD and DSIL were probably moving. I can totally understand why you would move also and I’m sure you will miss San Diego. How soon would this happen? Joy @Seasick Sailor, ouch on the bruise. Do you have any Arnica? You might buy some the next time you are on turn around day in Fort Lauderdale. I like to use the oral pellets and the topical gel. I will pass on today’s meal suggestion. I set out a baked pasta from the freezer. Good afternoon! Craig and I went shopping this morning. Even though I’m happy to be home this Christmas I’m in a small funk, I’m sure a lot of it is because I was so sick for most of November and part of December. I also miss being on a BHB like we were last year. Remember yesterday about my crazy cruise dream? Well wouldn’t you know but my PCC called yesterday about final payment due January 8th. I’ll have to call back to cancel but I’m going to wait until next week. I want to research the Europe cruises for 2024 first. As others have said it’s a Wyndham, but make sure it’s the Bayside Wyndham and if you want a bay view specify that when booking. It’s fun to watch the ship from your balcony and watch the going’s on. We’ve stayed there more times than I can remember. Have a great day everyone!

Good morning! Thank goodness the forecast is showing warmer weather and supposed to be in the 70’s next week. I have been having weird dreams lately. Last night I dreamt that I forgot to cancel our April transatlantic cruise and didn’t know until the day before sailing so I went ahead with the cruise. Weird because I haven’t made final payment. But I still need to cancel it, I think we’ve decided to do it in 2024. Rich @richwmn, I’ve been thinking about you and your exciting World Cruise. So glad to hear you are on your way to Ft Lauderdale. Terry @smitty34877, so nice that you are home. I’m sure recovering at home will be easier, but stairs? Wow, you are amazing. Graham @grapau27, condolences to Pauline’s friend. How tragic. Joy @Seasick Sailor, what a great picture of you two! @TiogaCruiser, I am no wine connoisseur but you really can’t go wrong with a New Zealand Souvignon Blanc. Our favorites are Kim Crawford and Nobilo. But there are a lot of good ones. Trader Joe’s has a great selection and Costco carries Kim Crawford. All within your price range.
