  1. If you can please tell Henjie hi for us, Sharon & Craig. He was on our Med cruise June 2022 Oosterdam. He will probably remember because Craig was in covid jail during that cruise and he was very nice to me since I was alone.
  2. Nice to see that shrimp cocktail has been on the menu every evening. But maybe it’s just because it’s a Grand WC.
  3. Good evening. The day got away from me, I slept in the latest I ever have. DGD Summer woke up an hour after I did and was starving. Thank goodness Papa was out and went to Chipotle for her. I made pizza for lunch. I have been to Ensenada twice. Once on a Carnival cruise about 23 years ago. I took a nice excursion to the wine country. More recently, Craig and I were there on the Koningsdam October 2021. We only walked around the port area. We will be there again in one year again on the Koningsdam on our Circle Hawaii cruise. Joy @Seasick Sailor, if you can figure out which cabin the smoker is you can report it and maybe even if you just know the area it’s coming from. We had a smoker next to us on our Med cruise June 2022 Oosterdam and I reported it and no more smoking after that. Turns out there were 4 in the cabin, an older mother, her daughter and 2 rowdy children. These were Neptune Suites. I peeked into their cabin when it was being cleaned, OMG I have never seen such a mess. I felt so sorry for our stewards having to work around the mess. We seemed to always sit next to them at breakfast in the PG. The table was the same way. Prayers for Jacqui and Kathi. Have a great evening.
  4. Great idea! I didn’t know that the Deli wasn’t on those ships. Thank you for the clarification.
  5. Okay, my mistake. The pizza place aka New York Deli and Pizza is on your ship, it’s just in a different place. I know you love your Rubens and even make your own. I love them too but don’t make them myself, Craig doesn’t like them. Anyway, you will probably be disappointed if you get one. They are very thin, not much corned beef, and not enough dressing. But the flavor is good, so for me it makes a nice lunch, and I make sure to get extra dressing. Just wanted to forwarn you. And, yes, CO wouldn’t be worth it on this ship. But I have a strong feeling that in the future CO won’t be available to passengers other than Neptune Suites/Pinnacle Suites.
  6. RNB, I must be dense. I thought it was Navy beans. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Annie, I don’t know how Jacqui was hurt but I do remember someone accidentally knocked her down when she was using a cane but it seems like that was weeks ago. About dining— we have done both but prefer assigned dining at the later time, which is usually 8:00 pm and called Main. We eat a late lunch and eat later at home so it works for us. Early dining time is just too early for us. Several times when we had anytime dining we were able to speak with our server and secure their area at a set time, and sometimes they offer. The steward did have to tell the maitre’d. We much prefer having the same dining stewards. Also, I’ve been meaning to ask which ship you are on. If you are on a Pinnacle class I need to explain about the Ruben sandwiches at the pizza place. Debbie, that’s great news about getting into the doctor sooner! Joy, pictures please! Vanessa, I still haven’t seen the rheumatologist but I’m wondering if I missed a call while away on one of my travels. When I got back home in November I got so sick I didn’t care. My doctor put in a new referral yesterday so fingers crossed. I hope the steroid injection helps you.
  7. Good morning! I was shocked when the first thing I read on CC was about Jacqui being medically disembarked due to sepsis. I really don’t know what that is or what causes it even after googling it, but the picture looked bad. Prayers for her recovery. I’ll celebrate all the days but pass on the rest. Not sure what is on our menu for today so I need to figure something out soon, but it won’t be tempeh. DGD Summer ended up spending the night again and is still sleeping. She is still giggling and carrying on about her new boyfriend Jack. She’s even planning to go out with him after school next week for a meal and ice cream. It’s funny because there are only two places that they can go to, McDonald’s or Jack in the Box, and then one for ice cream, Baskin Robbins. Her “ex” works at the last place and she is planning her entrance. Oh my, I don’t remember ever acting like that when I was 15. Happy Heavenly Birthday to your sister Sandi @StLouisCruisers. Roy @rafinmd, I’ve noticed that Linda’s CC name is wrong on your list. Can you fix it from “indaler” to “Lindaler”? Annie @marshhawk, your cats are beautiful. Thank you for sharing your pictures. Terri @Cruzin Terri, it sounds like things are really moving along with your house. I’m sure you are eager to get back to normal soon. I can’t wait for your after move in pictures. Blue is telling me it’s time for lunch. Have a great day everyone!
  8. Good afternoon! I had a dermatology appointment this morning and then the three of us went out for lunch. DGD Summer is going home tonight. Then I had to finalize our Hawaii cruise with our PCC. She had to explain to CO that I requested CO and that she didn’t “sell” it. I think she was going to tell me more but changed her mind. It’s a recorded line. Makes me wonder what’s going on. IMO, I’m sure part of the reason is that CO has been oversold and crowded. I know in October on the Nieuw Statendam we felt that it had been oversold, we had to wait many times especially for breakfast. Once we ended up going to the MDR instead. I’m wondering if they might just keep it for Neptune Suite guests in the future. I probably shouldn’t say anything about it here, but we are all friends. I also find the cutback for Neptune Suite guests on the Volendam that @ottahand7 mentioned about no breakfast in the PG very interesting. Bruce @aliaschief, your cabin is beautiful! Enjoy. @ottahand7, thank you for the update on Linda’s luggage @lindaler. I don’t think she has internet so may not post. @Cat in my lap, glad you are onboard and enjoying the start of the World Cruise. Annie @marshhawk, I’m enjoying the pictures of your cats. @cunnorl, great job for your first time posting pictures. Did one of the kangaroos have a joey? I think that’s what the babies are called. Joy @Seasick Sailor, I hope you find Gerry. I missed watching the sail away yesterday. Thank you to Vanessa @JazzyV for posting the picture and to those who posted on the sail away thread. Have a great day everyone!
  9. Good morning! Interesting collection of days today. I like spaghetti, especially with meatballs. I enjoy playing trivia with friends on a BHB. Braille is a very important form of communication and I always think of Helen Keller. I’ll pass on the meal suggestion. We are having Caesar salad with salmon. I am trying something different and marinated the salmon in Caesar dressing. It will be exciting to watch this afternoon’s sail away, hopefully we can all spot Gerry and her DH. Have a great day everyone!
  10. Gerry, I really don’t know but I’m sure they wouldn’t be turned away just 20 minutes early. The priority boarding has more to do with checking in and having documents scanned, etc. There is a Priority check in line for 4&5 star and Club Orange. Sometimes it moves fast but sometimes it moves slow. We’ve used both.
  11. I always print out our boarding passes just in case I can’t pull it up from my phone and/or Navigator app. Bad connectivity happens.
  12. Rich @richwmnI saw you at sail away just like Carolyn @Cruising-alongsaid. Enjoy your new upgraded verandah cabin. I hope you are able to stay in touch with the Daily.
  13. Yes, the close ups were too quick and I didn’t see Nancy either. But I loved bridge waves. She looks golden:
  14. I think the ribs on the appetizer menu are the best. I ate them for the first time last cruise and now kick myself for not trying them sooner. Also can’t beat the tempura.
  15. Bon Voyage Rich! Where will you be at sail away? Would love to see you wave.
  16. Good morning! Sleep—-sometimes good, sometimes bad. Lately mine has been bad. I can’t seem to sleep longer than 4-5 hours then am awake for a few hours and finally sleep for 2 hours. I’m beginning to wonder if it’s my new medication. DGD came over yesterday. She said she was bored but all she has done is “chat” with a new boy, her future “husband”, and giggle and dance around. Jack this, Jack that. Oh to be 15! Many thanks to Eva @superoma and Roy @rafinmd for the help yesterday with how to follow threads and find them easier. I have my settings fixed and it’s much easier now. I can’t wait for sail away this afternoon. Bon Voyage to all the passengers on both Grand Voyages. Have a great day everyone!
  17. Thank you both! I’ll check and let you know if it works for me.
