  1. Hi again, I didn't have Botman23's response when I made the above statement. So, we'll see. happytotravel
  2. That is wonderful to hear but NCL's website hasn't been brought up to date yet!!!!! Hoping they will update shortly as my cruise is on Sept.06. Thanks, happytotravel
  3. Thanks all, I figured out what I was doing wrong. I just got a new smartphone the other day and am learning about it as I go along. Instead of going to Chrome and typing in the web address for Arrivecan I was just clicking on the Arrivecan icon. Once my brain worked that out I was able to log in. Technology is wonderful! Thanks again, happytotravel
  4. I am able to log into Arrivecan when I use their website on my computer with no problem. I have downloaded the Arrivecan app onto my smartphone and when I try to login it tells me my password is wrong and freezes while it looks like it's searching. I uninstalled the app and installed it again with the same problem. Any solutions? Thanks, happytotravel
  5. There is nothing wrong with drinking the water from the tap, or at the buffet or in the restaurants. Paying for bottled water isn't really necessary or using a filter for that matter. But, it's what you feel most comfortable with. Enjoy whatever cruise you are going on. happytotravel
  6. If going to Canada those over 12 non vaccinated will not be able to cruise. https://www.ncl.com/ca/en/travel-requirements-by-country#canada happytotravel
  7. I hope you all have a great time! Tell him these are the best years of his life. happytotravel
  8. Maybe once he gets on the ship he'll see all the activities he can take part in and change his mind partially. He has no interest in any shore excursions? Whatever he does he should be happy! happytotravel
  9. Hi All, If I read correctly, and sometimes that's not always the case, it depends are where you are going. For instance those of us going to Canada after Sept 03 still need to do the test and any "unvaccinated" people over 12 years old are not permitted to cruise. happytotravel
  10. Hi Mytmo777, In all my cruises my luggage always arrived at my cabin with the luggage tags in tact. I've always just stapled the two ends together. But, that doesn't mean luggage tags can't fall off. Do what you feel is most comfortable. Have a great cruise. My cruise is in September! happytotravel
  11. Just wondering as in the past printed or mailed cruise tags didn't use plastic luggage tags. You just put them on prior to going to the ship before leaving the hotel or airport. Thanks, happytotravel
  12. They used to carry "Ariel" in the past. And it was very nice. Not everyone wants to drink alcoholic drinks. Take care, happytotravel
  13. The reason: These all could be fire hazards. Something none of us what to have on a ship. Take care, happytotravel
  14. This is a great place to ask questions and get good info. Have a great time on your cruise and enjoy every second of it! happytotravel
  15. If you are on the bus, they will wait. If not, that is another story. Take care, happytotravel
  16. Thank you all for your suggestions and advice. I'll check in when the bus gets me to the port. The ship will wait. Enjoy life! happytotravel
  17. Thanks, I'll check with NCL to see when they think the transfer will leave the airport. happytotravel
  18. Hi, Just wondering what check in time is best to choose when coming in with their transfer onto the JOY. I haven't had to do this on my previous cruises. Thanks, happytotravel
  19. Hi, How do I delete the notifications I get to follow a discussion. I click on the bell at the top of the page but there doesn't seem to be any delete to check. Thanks, happytotravel
  20. I love them. Hopefully, their "friends" will be sharing my cabin in September. happytotravel
  21. Hi All, What happened to the other 29 cabins that were on the same line? If someone throws stuff into the toilet that they shouldn't the blockage is there and would affect them all. This is not the fault of NCL. It's the fault of the yoyo who did it. I find it hard to believe that a change in cabin was not offered. happytotravel
  22. It becomes a lot of extra work for NCL if people did their check in months in advance and then decide to cancel. I'm sure it was no picnic for them during the pandemic when all those cancellations came through. No matter what folks may say or complain about the cruise lines do try to do their best, I'm sure. happytotravel
  23. Hi to OP, Please consider getting insurance as you NEVER KNOW what can happen when on a cruise. You could get ill and need to go to the medical center or worse yet need to be evacuated from the ship. Something could happen while on shore and you could need medical care at one of their hospitals. With no insurance you will be paying out of your own pocket and that could be extremely pricey. Take care, happytotravel
  24. Hi, I'm on the September 06 Joy cruise. I've booked "Spirit of the Senses" in Sydney and "Views of Halifax" while in Halifax. There is also "Pier 21" museum right at the port which you might enjoy. It was where immigrants coming to Canada came through years back. I've been there several years ago and hope to visit it again if I've time. What ever you decide I'm sure you'll have a great time. I can't wait!!! Take care, happytotravel
