Another tip for you; if you want to book the crown grill or another specialty venue; you can call the dine line from your stateroom phone. They will work with you to find a booking time. Or like mentioned above; you can stop by crown grill when you board and speak with the host or hostess about booking time.

Voice of the Ocean is just like tv show. They have guests from your cruise audition all week long; on last sea day they have the competition; it is a good show.

I drink black coffee and never add anything to it. I drink it in buffet, and dining room; it is ok; I would say it's a medium roast. I like dark roast with a little kick. The only dark roast would be at the int'l café on deck 5; which means you pay for it. My wife drinks chai lattes, so she ends up getting that at the coffee and cones bistro by the pool or the int'l café. Hope this info helps

Kitty2264, you are correct. The app is good for your current cruise. I have a cruise booked for next year and it won't accept my info either. I used it for my Feb cruise last month; I am not sure; but I think maybe is has to be within 3-6 months of your cruise.

Some people deal directly with cruise line and some deal with local travel agent, and some deal with big box or internet agents. Everyone have a great day and enjoy your cruise; no matter who you used to book your trip

Linda, on the Ocean Ready app, you log in and then set up your profile; once you have your profile set up, you will see a green check mark next to your picture. You can then add another person to the app profile. What ocean ready app does is; it allows you to pre register for your cruise and have a digital boarding pass. Much like your cruise personalizer, you put in your passport info, and such, you can then print out your boarding pass from your personalizer; the ocean ready app gives you a digital boarding pass. You will take a security picture with your smartphone, . When you see the green check mark by you profile picture; the app will say; "you are ocean ready"; meaning you can order your medallion. You have a choice of having the medallions mailed to you; (normally they are mailed two weeks prior to sail date), or you can opt to have medallion waiting at the port for you.

Ashland. I will look up that hotel. You say its located in lower manhattan?

Suggest you change the dates of your cruise. If you want to see NYC at Christmas time; that is one thing. I have stayed at the Doubletree at times square. Price in Aug around $170, price for 27-31 Dec, $1000. Talk about price hikes. And the front desk told me the rooms are booked a year in advance.

If you stay at Embassy Suites, Hyatt Place, or Courtyard in Secaucus, there is a bus stop across the street from these hotels. It goes directly into the city to the bus terminal. You can call any of these hotels and they can tell you pricing

princeton123211, have you ever used points to stay at Hilton midtown? I have lots of Hilton and Marriott points; and will most likely take lyft to Brooklyn cruise terminal

wow seems like there is a lot to see in this part of Manhatten. Did someone mention the ferry is free?

On my sailing last month, I did not receive an email nor was anything listed in my personalizer about who the cruise director was.

That is so cool. Thanks for letting me know.

Just a question about what your views, feedback, complaints, or joys about booking a window suite on Princess ships. I know there are limited available; and also know that not all ships have them. Thanks for any feedback.

What pictures did everyone submit? I am new to this thread. Thanks

ekka49; so you had the same cruise director for the entire 106 days? Did the captain and hotel director stay also?

Norwegian has fish swimming forward on their carpet. That way you know if you are headed forward or aft. Plus they have blue on Starboard, and Yellow on Port

Did you buy trip insurance? Most trip insurance have cancel for any reason. So maybe you can go that route.

This is interesting thread. Thanks for posting I learned something about how the crews rotate.

It was Emerald Princess in Alaska. Grand kids used them on the balcony

cnr crsr is correct; umbrellas are to be used during your cruise. you can also take home the sleep kit; which is a bag of lotion, eye mask, ear plugs, and essential oils
Medallion net
in Princess Cruises

I was on CB last month; and my suggestion for those who may be sailing on a medallion net cruise; wait to buy your package until you board. Princess offers discounts for elite members; normally ten dollars off the price; and they also offer family plans; where you can have four devices for a reasonable price. Check it out. I bought the unlimited package which was awesome and fast. We could stream tv shows on ipad and down loads were fast.
