  1. What ship was this from? Seems to be different lists floating around.
  2. It depends on the ship, Quantum still had towels when we sailed in May. They had crystal blocks too.
  3. Quantum has both outlets and usb ports at the vanity. There is also an outlet beside the bed, above one of the nightstands.
  4. This is all the same information we told you in your thread yesterday.
  5. We tested at home before the flight because we didn't want to go all the way across the country if we weren't going to be able to cruise. We were in Seattle early too, so we then had to test two days prior to the cruise to meet the cruise's testing requirement. If you test positive in Seattle, I am not sure what else you can find to do as you are supposed to isolate. I know I was too sick to do anything but others have minor or no symptoms. Good luck with whatever you decide. 🙂
  6. Test everyone before flying to Seattle, no sense getting on the plane if you have someone positive. We flew into Seattle on a Saturday and sailed on Monday, so we had to test in Seattle for the two day timeframe. The proctored test from the hotel worked fine. Make sure you do the ArriveCan for everyone, even if you do not plan on getting off in Victoria it is still required. As far as being stuck in Seattle because of covid, I tested positive and had to quarantine on the ship and then finish my time in a hotel in Seattle prior to flying home. You do not need to isolate for 7 days, CDC requires a 5 day isolation followed by 5 days of masking. The cruise line currently will pay $250/day towards a hotel room and $100/day towards food. This is per person, not per family, so it really helps with the cost. You submit receipts to the cruise line and they reimburse you. The cruise line arranges transfers from the ship to the hotel but you have to find a hotel. I stayed at a Marriott at the airport that had a 24 hour free shuttle to the airport and also had very good room service. Some hotels in the area have not started room service back up since covid, so call the hotel directly to check before booking. I know the Embassy near the airport wasn't doing room service in May when I was sick.
  7. Definitely call them. There are balconies for 5 and some forward facing oceanviews for 6 but do not know of an interior for 5. They should make some accommodation for you.
  8. Filet mignon in CK night one is very good. We haven't had good luck with the lobster in CK at all. Concierge should be able to take care of things for you. Good luck and happy birthday to your Mom. 🙂
  9. With 8 of the 11 in full suites and the others in JS, there shouldn't be an issue for dinner reservations. I would ask the suite concierge to handle the reservations for the entire group of 11 when they reach out to you prior to the cruise.
  10. You are missing where it says to add a promo code and exclusive rate discounts. It is on the screen where you put in the number of guests in the cabin. Scroll down a little.
  11. Many feel a $1 tip is enough on a $13 drink. It is up to you to decide what you feel is appropriate.
  12. I am glad he got a replacement and is good to go!
  13. Grandma might have typoed or got his age wrong on the initial post. I know my mother would be hard pressed to get all her grandkids ages right, she would be close but doubt she would know them all.
  14. Look at you two jumping to conclusions. I said we put our set sail pass in our apple wallet and have our other required documents in a file on our phones and that using you phone is very simple. I said nothing about have backup as that was not what I was addressing. Both my DH and I have each other's information on the other's phone, so I do have a back up. Our vaccine cards are in our passport covers but they are never taken out as the digital version was fine. We did not have a paper backup of our negative test results or ArriveCan as we had to do both after we arrived in Seattle and chose not to print at the hotel. All that information was in our email, the file created on our phones, each other's phone and in the respective apps. I could have accessed if needed. Set sail passes can be printed by the reps at the pier in the event you do not have one. We had ourselves covered. One of the port workers who was doing the final document check before you went up the escalator to check in actually commented how organized we were and that having the documents in one file to show her made it very easy. We have belt, suspenders and a change of clothes, we are good, we will sail!
  15. We always put the set sail pass in our apple wallet and just show that. You don't need signal as some claim, so it is not an issue. We each had our negative test results, vaccine record and ArriveCan information in a file on our phone that we just showed the reps as we went through all the points that they were checking information. Very simple.
  16. Children's passports are only valid for 5 years. You don't get a 10 year passport until age 16.
  17. We have done Alaska, Pacific Coastal, NE/Canada and Bermuda on Radiance class ships. We were happy when we heard they were sending a larger ship to Boston this year since we have done NE/Canada on three different Radiance class but wished it was something newer than Voyager.
  18. If you are a AAA member, try getting an appointment for a real ID there. I have 4 AAA stores within a short drive of me that all have DMV in them, got an appointment easily. Not sure if they have that in NJ, they do in MA.
  19. Radiance class has a lot that like the glass elevators facing the ocean. We have sailed on all of that class, multiple times on Jewel. It is a much more sedate cruise on a more classic ship than one with all the bells and whistles of Oasis class or Quantum class. Not our favorite class of ship but we would definitely sail any of them again for an itinerary we want and a good price.
  20. Some temporary licenses have a picture on them. Ours are paper but has our picture on it too. OP, how old is the passport? If it is only recently expired, they might take that too.
  21. That is a very popular week due to school vacation week, so wouldn't be surprised if there are no cabins for 3 or 4 people. It also could be that there are cabins that can sleep 3 or 4 people but they ship has reached lifeboat capacity and will only book cabins for 2 people. Not all sofas in a cabin are sofabeds either and they will not let you book 3 in a cabin for 2.
  22. There is nothing wrong with him helping out but his deck crew does not know their jobs. They need to get into their routine before he steps in and does everything. The bosun hasn't been given the chance to lead his people. The new crew needs training by the bosun if he is ever going to be seen as their leader.
  23. He needs to let his bosun do his job. The Captain is everywhere, he needs to oversee and not jump in and do the mundane stuff. Let his team do their jobs.
